Hello my crafty peeps! It is the first day of the July release at Newton’s Nook Designs.   I always get excited during release week. You will absolutely LOVE this month’s stamp release!  I know I always say that but it is the absolute truth.  You also have a chance to win a $20 store credit during release week so check out the details I have indicated at the end of this blog post.  [Just a little important note:  I know some of you had difficulties finding the comments section.  If you would like to leave a comment to participate in the giveaway, the “comments section” will only be ever visible when a single post on WordPress is being viewed. Please click on this particular blog post and you will be able to leave a comment below.  Thank you for understanding and I apologize for the confusion.]

I have to apologize that I will only be able to post my projects today and tomorrow, and will not be able to participate in the blog hop on Friday, July 14th.  I had to travel for a family emergency concerning my father-in-law and will not be available for the rest of the month.  Please check out the design team’s projects this week for more inspiration.

Since this is Newton’s Nook Design’s 4-year anniversary, we will be showcasing a lot of products on the first day.  THEY RE AMAZING!!!!!

For today’s project, I am showcasing the Winston’s Lakehouse and Lake Advice stamp sets and its coordinating dies, Sea Borders Dies, and the new stencils.  Here they are:

I stamped my images on Neenah solar white card stock and colored them in with my Copic markers. I also die-cut my card front with dies that I have from my stash.  After coloring the images, I ran it through my die-cutting machine using its coordinated dies.

I used my ink blending tool and my distress oxide inks to blend the colors on my card stock.  I sprayed water on my stencil and placed the wet stencil on top of the card stock, then wiped it with paper towel.  The distress ink reacted to the water and created this beautiful background for my card, without losing the details made by the stencil.  I also used the ocean border die to create the wave impression on my card front.  Here is my card showcasing Winston’s Lakehouse:

Here is my second card showcasing the Lake Advice stamp set:

I hope you like my cards and got inspired today.  Would you like to win a $20 store credit to Newton’s Nook Designs?  ONE lucky comment will be chosen from each reveal day to win!

  1. Your cards are absolutely stunning! I just love the scenes you created and your colouring is spectacular. Love the white borders you used on your first card, so creative. Love the way you used the wave stencil on both cards. TFS

  2. The lake scene is simply stunning! Both cards are beautiful designs.
Praying all is well with your family. ❤

  3. Both cards are awesome and you framed one with stitching and the other with an amazing die – just gorgeous work!

  4. Your cards are so beautiful! Sorry to hear there’s an emergency concerning your father-in-law. Sending you a prayer.

  5. Great stamp sets about the lake.
The sentiment on the first card could be
used as an invite to a friend to join me
at our lake condo. The sentiment
on the second project will make a
fun sign to hang on the front door.
    Love it.
    thanks for sharing.

  6. these stamp sets are so adorable and would be fun to play with. Thanks for sharing your wonderful ideas and cards with us:)(
