For Day 4, we are showcasing Newton’s Kite Stamp Set + Coordinating Dies that I paired up with the previously-released Circle Frames Die Set along with the Land Borders Die Set, Sky Scene Builder Die Set and Banner Trio Die.

I started with the background panel by ink-blending it with distress oxide ink. I used some white gouache that I diluted with water and used watercolor brush to add some splatters to the background for added texture. I adhered this panel on some A2-size notecard.

Next, I die-cut the window by using one of the dies from the Circle Frames Die Set and foam-mounted this onto the card. I added the grass that I die-cut using the Land Borders Die Set, and the clouds from the Sky Scene Builder Die Set.

The focal image was stamped on some X-Press It Blending Card and colored with alcohol markers. I used the coordinating die to cut the image out and foam-mounted to the focal panel.

I finished the card design by adding the sentiment that I heat-embossed and die-cut using one of the dies from the Banner Trio Die Set. Here’s another peek at the card:

An Easy, Peasy Card with Newton’s Nook

Hello friends! I have another easy, peasy card to share with you today featuring Newton Love’s Tacos Stamp Set and Coordinating Dies with the Banner Trio Die Set and Meow Stencil by Newton’s Nook Designs.

I started by stamping the image on some X-Press It Blending Card and colored the image in with alcohol markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut it out.

Next, I prepared the background by inking it up with distress oxide inks in Shaded Lilac, Worn Lipstick and Spun Sugar, I used the Meow Stencil to add some interest and texture to the background. I adhered this panel on some A2-size top-folding card base.

I added the focal image on the card panel with liquid glue. The last thing to do was to add the sentiment. I die-cut the sentiment strip using one of the dies from the Banner Trio Die Set and stamped the sentiment with Versamark ink. I sprinkled some white embossing powder and heat-set with the heating tool. I adhered the sentiment with liquid glue.

Newton’s Nook & Therm-O-Web Smiles & Sparkles Collab Week + GIVEAWAY

Welcome to Therm-O-Web and Newton’s Nook Designs collaboration. This week, NND and TOW are partnering for a fabulous inspiration week! All week long, both design teams will be sharing ways to use Therm O Web products with Newton’s Nook Designs stamps! There are prizes too! Read all the way to the end of this post to find out how you can win!

I am super excited to share a few cards with you today! I was able to use all of the products without wasting the negative foil pieces and they are amazing!

For all the cards today, I’m showcasing the Dog Silhouette Die Set, Cat Silhouette Die Set, along with the Furr-Ever Friends Stamp Set, Sky Scene Builder Die Set, Clouds Stencil, Sky Borders Die Set, Frames and Flags Die Set, Pawprints Shaker Die Set with Therm-O-Web’s DecoFoil A2 Toner Card Fronts Rainbows Galore, DecoFoil Transfer Sheets Mystic Rainbow and iCraft Easy-Cut Adhesive Sheets.

NOTE: The Cat Silhouettes and Dog Silhouettes Die Sets are temporarily out of stock but Newton’s Nook Designs will be getting more in very soon! If you’d like to be notified when they are back in stock, just sign up on the product pages to be notified!

The first and second card are pretty much identical in design but I changed the silhouettes and the sentiment. Here’s how I made the card:

  • adhere both white and vellum cloud border die-cuts with liquid glue and foam-mount the die-cuts onto the card for added dimension.
  • adhere the the rest of the die-cuts onto the card with liquid glue.
  • stamp the sentiment using black ink.
  • finish the card design by adhering some red hearts for added interest.

Since I have two negative foil pieces from the cards above, I did not want to waste them so I used the iCraft Easy-Cut Adhesive Sheets and added them to some A2-size Neenah Classic Crest Solar White Card Stock. I die-cut both backgrounds using the scallop die from the Frames and Flags Die Set and adhered the same on some black A2-size notecards.

I die-cut the paw prints using the Pawprints Shaker Die Set with some black and white card stock and foam-mounted these pieces on the card for added dimension. I finished the card design by stamping the sentiment on the card.

I am so happy that I was able to make a few cards without wasting any foil. Have you tried doing the same technique? I hope you like my cards today and got inspired.

Would you like to win a $40 store credit to Therm O Web or to Newton’s Nook Designs? Visit the Newton’s Nook Designs blog and the Therm O Web Blog for a chance to win! Both companies will be giving away a prize this week! Have an amazing day!

COUNTDOWN TO CONFETTI – DAY 1 – Birthday Buddies & Birthday Buddies Banter

I am pleased to join the Countdown to Confetti Day 1 by Reverse Confetti. We have lots to show you and there is also a GIVEAWAY so please read through the end of this post to find out how you can WIN!

For my first project, I am showcasing the Birthday Buddies Stamp Set and Coordinating Confetti Cuts along with the Circle Gift Card Holder Confetti Cuts (a must-have!) and Birthday Buddies Banter stamp set with the Circle Gift Card Holder Confetti Cuts.

I have also used the All You Need Is Love Stamp Set which is, incidentally, a free with $60 purchase.

I am so excited to share TWO projects today, showcasing the above-mentioned products. First is this gift card holder:

Here’s how I made this project:

  • Stamp the images on some Neenah solar white card stock and color the images in with alcohol markers (or any medium of your choice).
  • Use the coordinating dies to cut them out. Set this aside for now and prepare the background panel.
  • Use the Circle Gift Card Holder Confetti Cuts to die-cut some Strathmore Bristol Smooth White Card Stock.
  • Ink-up this panel using a stencil and some Distress Oxide Inks.
  • Adhere this panel on a top-folding notecard halfway through so that it can be lifted up when opened by the recipient (see photo below)
  • Stamp the sentiment from the Birthday Buddies Banter Stamp Set on some black card stock with VersaMark ink and heat-set with the heating tool. Adhere the sentiment on the card with foam-adhesive so that when the card is opened, the main panel can stand up on its own.
  • finish the design by using some white gel pen to for added interest to the images.

I really LOVE the Circle Gift Card Holder Confetti Cuts and this is a must-have for any card-maker! Also, the Birthday Buddies Stamp set have the cutest images and I love that the Coordinating Confetti Cuts makes it super easy to die-cut the inside portion of the balloon strings!

For my second project, I am showcasing the Free with 60 Stamp Set called All you Need is Love with the Large Rainbow Circle Confetti Cuts.

I decided to create a very colorful card design! I love Rainbows and I think this card is so cheerful, it will make anyone’s day!

  • Prepare the background panel by die-cutting some Neenah Solar White Card stock using some clouds border die from your collection. Foam-mount both die-cuts on some A2-size white notecard.
  • Stamp the sentiment from the “All You Need is Love” Stamp Set with different colors of dye inks.
  • Use the Large Rainbow Circle Confetti Cuts to die-cut some Neenah solar white card stock. Color each die-cut using some alcohol markers and adhere them all together using a wide-packing tape.
  • Foam-mount the Large Rainbow Circle die-cut to the card front and use your paper trimmer to trim off the excess.
  • Finish the card design by adhering the hearts on the Large Rainbow Circle.

I can’t wait to hop around and see what the other team members designed! Leave a comment by noon central on May 7th for a chance to win.
