You’re Sassy, Classy & Pretty Bad Assy!

Hello Cas-ual Fridays stamp fans!  I was pretty giddy creating this card I’m sharing with today showcasing a LOT of products from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps.  I used one of my all-time favorite stamp set called Frankly’isms with the Cup of Coffee stamp set and Coffee Cup Fri-Dies and the Scallop Tags Fri-Dies.

Here’s what I used:

I started out by stamping the Coffee Cup image on a gingham patterned paper and die cut the same with the Cup of Coffee Fri-Die.   I die-cut the tags using the Scallop Tags Fri-Dies with vellum and patterned paper. I ran the vellum tag on a hearts embossing folder to give it more dimension. I adhered both tags using mini glue dots.

On a piece of Bristol smooth white card stock, I used a stencil from my stash to add some color to the background with distress oxide inks.  I sprayed it with water to get the oxidize effect.

I adhered the tags onto my colored background.  I stamped the sentiment onto the “coffee cup” and adhered this piece on top of the tags.

To finish the design, I added the bow on top of the tag and also added some brown jewels to make them look like coffee bubbles.

Here’s a closer look:

Don’t you just LOVE the sentiment?  If you love coffee as much as I do, I think that sentiment is perfect!  I also added some white highlights using my Sakura gel pen.  I LOVE those brown jewels! They just added a little bit more “oomph” to the whole card design, don’t you think?!  Here’s another look:

I hope you like my card today.  Don’t forget that you can use my coupon code below to get 15% off your order.  Check out the $5 or less stamps and dies available now before they get sold out.  Happy crafting!

Love is in the Air with Newton’s Nook

Hello Newton’s Nook fans!  I hope your holidays went perfectly well and you’ve managed to spend a lot of time with your loved ones.  2019 is here and it is time to start this month to welcome the season of LOVE!  You will probably see a lot of love-themed projects on the blog this month.

For my project today, I am showcasing the Newton’s Christmas Cuddles stamp set and its coordinating dies (sssh! this stamp set is also perfect for Valentine’s Day projects or an anniversary-themed card), the Tumbling Hearts stencil the Sky Borders die, and the Uplifting Wishes stamp set.

I started out by stamping the image on Neenah solar white card stock and colored them in with my Copic markers.  I die-cut the images using the coordinating die.  On a piece of Bristol smooth white card stock, I colored my background with distress oxide inks and used my Tumbling Hearts stencil to add the hearts.  I die-cut the rest of the elements that I needed to assemble the card.  Here’s what it looks like:

To finish my design, I used my home-made clouds stencil using the Sky Borders die and colored the frame to make it look like sky.  I also stamped the sentiment with Versamark ink and used white embossing powder and my heating tool to heat set it.  Here’s a little close-up:

I added the Heart Sprinkles Embellishment mix from Kat Scrappiness.

This week Newton’s Nook Designs and Xyron are partnering for a very awesome inspiration week!  Each day there is fresh inspiration using Newton’s Nook Designs products with Xyron adhesives on the NND blog and on the Xyron facebook page!

For my project today, I used the new Loveable Llama stamp set by NND, a Sizzix step-up die from my stash and my all-time favorite Xyron Mega Tape Runner.

I started out by die-cutting some white 110 lb. card stock using my Sizzix Basic Step-up dies.

I stamped my Llamas from Loveable Llamas stamp set on some Neenah solar white card stock, using memento tuxedo black ink.  I colored them in with my Copic markers, and used the coordinating dies to die-cut the images.

I used a patterned paper from my stash to die-cut the pieces to decorate my step-up card and adhered them with my Xyron Mega Tape Runner.  This is my favorite adhesive to use on my projects.

I adhered all of the images on the card and finished the design by stamping the sentiment on a banner strip die, and added the yellow bow.  Here’s the card:

I really love how cheerful this card turned out.  The cacti images from the stamp set went perfectly with the theme of this card.

Kat Scrappiness Large Alpha Dies with Lawn Fawn

Hello my crafty friends.  I am back today to share with you a simple Valentine’s Day card, showcasing the new Large Alphabet dies and Christmas Red Sequins by Kat Scrappiness,   Lawn Fawn Sweet Friends stamp set and Lawn Fawn Sweet Friends coordinating dies, plus other supplies available at the shop.

I started out by stamping my images on Neenah Solar white card stock and I colored the images in with my Copic markers.   I cut another 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 piece of Bristol Smooth white card stock and used my Tumbling Hearts stencil to create my background, with my Worn Lipstick distress oxide ink and the ink blending tool.

IMG_7065

I wanted to create a Valentine’s Day shaker card and also use the new Large Alphabet Dies.  I chose the letters, X and O and used my die-cutting machine to cut my background.  I covered it with my acetate and used my foam tape to create my shaker window.  I have been meaning to use the Christmas Red sequins and thought that this was the perfect color to use as my shaker element.

IMG_7064

To finish my design, I added my little Froyo images and stamped my sentiment.  I also added the little strawberries to the Froyo and covered it with glossy accents.  Here is the card:

Newton’s Nook – Love Bites – Cards for the Children’s Hospital

I was requested to donate some cards at the local Children’s Hospital where I live.  I was supposed to make it very simple, kid-friendly with no sequins or glitter.  Since Valentine’s Day is fast-approaching, I decided to use the new Love Bites stamp set by Newton’s Nook Designs.

The Love Bites stamp set is so versatile, you can create so many different projects using this set.  It doesn’t have to be Valentine’s-related.  You can also use it to make cute little notes to your kids to add to their lunchboxes, or just leave them notes to brighten their day.

I have a video tutorial for you creating 3 projects so I will keep this blog post short.  Here are my projects:
