I have a very simple card today.  I started by ink-blending my background with some distress oxide inks on some Bristol smooth white card stock.  I used cracked pistachio, faded jeans and dusty concord.  I sprayed some water on the colored background and blotted it with some paper towel.

I die-cut two pieces of white card stock using a scallop border die from my stash and foam mounted these pieces onto the card.

I just love the bold sentiment and this stamp set will be perfect to give to anyone who is going through some rough times.  Here’s another look:

For my first project, I started by stamping my images on Neenah solar white card stock and colored it it with my Spectrum Noir Classique alcohol markers.  I fussy-cut the image using my precision snips.

I wanted to create a slimline card so I inked up a 4 1/4 x 8 1/2 size Bristol white card stock using a Tim Holtz stencil and some distress oxide inks.  I also die-cut some white card stock and vellum using a clouds die from my stash.

I adhered the colored background onto a slimline card base and started to create my scene by foam mounting the clouds one at a time to create more dimension.  I also foam-mounted my focal image to the card.

Lastly, I stamped my sentiment to the card using some distress oxide ink.  Here’s my card:

I absolutely LOVE the sentiments on this stamp set.  Here’s a closer look at my card:

For my project, I inked up some Bristol smooth white card stock with some distress oxide inks and sprayed it with some water using my distress oxide sprayer.  I blotted it with some paper towel to dry.

I colored my images using some Spectrum Noir Classique alcohol markers and fussy cut the image using my precision snips.  I also die-cut a circle frame, a bow and clouds using some dies from my stash.

I foam-mounted the circle frame onto my card and started working on my scene by either foam-mounting the images or adhering them with liquid adhesive.

Lastly, I stamped my sentiment with versamark ink.  I sprinkled some white embossing powder and heat-set it with my heating tool.

To finish my design, I added some crystal jewel to my card for added texture.  Here’s a closer look:

National Coffee Day Blog Hop with CAS-ual Fridays

It’s National Coffee Day and we are celebrating at CASual Fridays with a blog hop.  For my project today, I am showcasing the Hearts A2 Panel Fri-Die, Cup of Coffee stamp set, Coffee Cup Fri-Dies and the Coffee Talk stamp set.  We have three prizes up for grabs so make sure to read at the end of the blog post for a chance to WIN.

To make this day even more fun, CASual Friday had put their entire COFFEE COLLECTION on Sale for 20% off.  No coupon code needed.  For further discount, you can avail my discount code “MARIASENTME” for 15% off.

To begin, I started by using a clouds stencil from my stash and inked up my background using different shades of distress oxide inks.  I wanted some oranges and pinks as my background color to symbolize fall.  I cut another piece of Bristol smooth white card stock and used the Hearts A2 panel fri-die.  I set this die-cut aside so I can work on the other elements I need for my card.

I stamped the coffee cup from the cup of coffee stamp set on a brown patterned paper.  I put this piece inside my MISTI stamping tool to stamp the sentiment from the coffee talk stamp set.  I used Versamark ink and sprinkled some white embossing powder, and heat-set this with my heating tool.

I adhered the colored panel on an A2 size side-fold card base.  I added the Hearts A2 background panel with liquid adhesive and started working on creating my scene.  I used some fall leaves that I die-cut awhile ago from my stash and started layering them for some added texture and dimension.

Lastly, I used another die from my stash to die-cut the “whipped cream” and colored it lightly with my alcohol markers.  I foam-mounted this piece onto my card.

I really LOVE how this card turned out.   The white sentiment on the coffee cup stood out and the colors of the leaves complimented the colored background.  Here’s a little close-up:

Only Santa Knows…. (If I’ve been Naughty or Nice)

Hello everyone!  Maria here with you today.  Just a quick heads up, the sale is still going strong so head on over to the shop before everything gets sold out.

I know it’s a little too early to even think about Christmas! I want to send mine early this year so I have started creating them already.  For my project today, I am showcasing the Little Huggables stamp set with the Naughty-isms stamp set.

To begin, I started by using a “make a wreath” stencil from my stash and stamped the little present images on Neenah solar white card stock.  I also stamped the snowflake with some light blue ink, and my bunny from the Little Huggables stamp set.

I colored my images in with my Spectrum Noir TriBlend markers.

I adhered my colored panel to a red patterned paper and glued this piece on to an A2 size card base.

Lastly, I stamped the sentiment with Versafine Onyx black ink and stamped the paw print with Lobster red ink.  Here’s my card:

This card is really simple and can be mass-produced.  Here’s a little close-up:

Hope Shaker Card with Cas-ual Fridays Stamp

Hello everyone! It’s Maria back on the blog with you today with another card, showcasing the Tin Roof Cover Die and the Big Hope Fri-Die.

This type of card is never easy to make.  A friend of mine was diagnosed with breast cancer a few months ago and she is currently going through some chemo treatment.  She’s doing really well (thank the Lord above)!  I will be sending her a gift and so I created this card to go along with it.

This card is really simple to make and I didn’t even do any stamping.  I started by die-cutting the Tin Roof Cover Die with a 110 lb. white card stock.  I also die-cut the word “hope” and set both aside as I worked on my background.

I ink-blended an A2 size Bristol Smooth white card stock with Spun Sugar and Worn Lipstick using a sunburst stencil.  I know you can hardly see the inside but it is a sun-ray.  I figured the significance of this would have a huge impact since there’s always light at the end of the tunnel, and she is almost there!

I die-cut a frame die and adhered my Tin Roof die-cut behind the frame.  I wanted to create a shaker card and needed the frame to cover the foam tape.  I also adhered the acetate sheet to keep the shaker elements intact.

I used some light pink and crystal sequins mix with sparkling stars for my shaker element.  This card is so pretty in real life.

To finish my design, I ink-blended the “hope” die-cut with the same distress oxide ink that I used for the background and layered it with some dark gray card stock to add some texture and dimension.  Here’s a closer look:

I hope you like my project today.  Please visit CAS-ual Fridays Stamps  to purchase the stamp and dies that I featured today.  Don’t forget to use my coupon code “MARIASENTME” for 15% off your order.  Happy stamping!

Little Huggable Stamp & Little Critters Fri-Dies – June Release by CAS-ual Fridays

Hello, hello my crafty peeps!  I am joining the CAS-ual Fridays Ink Squad to bring you the Little Huggable Stamp Set and Little Critters Fri-Dies. It is the first day of the June release and I am so thrilled to be asked by Michele to guest-design this month. I have missed the ink squad so much and I am happy to announce that starting in July, I am once again part of the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps design team.

For my first project, I started out by stamping my images with Spectrum Noir Finesse Black Ink.  This is an alcohol-friendly ink and perfect to use with my Spectrum Noir TriBlend markers.  I die-cut the images using the Little Critters Fri-Dies.

The background was ink-blended with some distress oxide inks for some pop of color.  I also used a small star die from my stash to die-cut three windows on some white card stock.   I used fun foam to add dimension and stability, and adhered the die-cut panel on the ink-blended background.

I die-cut the word “hello” using the Sweet Friend Fri-Dies on some Bristol smooth white card stock.  I ink-blended this carefully with distress oxide inks and adhered this piece on the card front.  I finished my card design by adhering the critters and adding sparkling clear jewels on the card.  Here’s a closer look:

For my second project, I once again ink-blended an A2-size Bristol smooth white card stock with distress oxide inks.  I sprayed this with water and dabbed it with some paper towel for some added interest and texture.  I adhered this background on an A2 size card base.

I also die-cut two white panels using a border die from my stash and adhered these pieces with fun foam and liquid glue for some added dimension.  I die-cut the palm trees using another die from my stash on some Bristol smooth white card stock and colored it with distress oxide inks.  I adhered the pieces on the card front with foam and liquid adhesives.

I finished my design by adding the sentiment “Pooches Gracias” stamped with versamark ink and heat-set using my heating tool.  Here’s a closer look:

How I made the card:

  • die-cut the Tin Roof Cover Fri-Die with some 110 lb smooth white card stock.  also die-cut a frame die from my stash with to layer this together.
  • adhere acetate sheet with using strong adhesive to create the window for the shaker.
  • add some foam adhesive and add sequin mix for the shaker element.
  • close the shaker card by adding patterned paper with strong adhesive.
  • die-cut the “Hello” from the Sweet Friend Fri-dies on some black card stock.
  • run this piece through a sticker maker and adhere the same on the foreground.
  • stamp the sentiment from the Supercalifragilistic stamp set on some vellum with Versafine Onyx Black ink and heat emboss using clear embossing powder.  Adhere this piece around the card and secure with tape on the back.
  • adhere this shaker piece on an A2 side folding card base.
