Special Delivery Slimline Christmas Card

Christmas is fast-approaching and I am totally looking forward to coming home.  There’s something so special about being home for the holidays!  Campfire, Ugly Sweaters, Hot Cocoa, and spending quality-time with my family!  Home for the holidays is my theme for today’s blog post.

As previously mentioned on my last post, I will be giving you inspiration using older KS products!  It’s time to give them some much-needed TLC and if you don’t have these items, why don’t you grab them now!  My card today features the Dress Up Quokka Stamp Set, A Cozy Christmas Slimline Paper Pad, along with the Ugly Sweater Add-on Stamp Set, Merry Critters Stamp Set, Forest for The Trees Slimline Die and the cute Special Delivery Etched Dies by Spellbinders.  These products are all available at the Kat Scrappiness shop!

Here’s how I made the card:

  • Cut the pattern paper from the A Cozy Christmas Paper Pad and adhere on a red slimline card base.
  • Die-cut a panel of Neenah solar white card stock using the Forest for the Trees Slimline Die Set and foam-mount the main frame on the slimline card.
  • Adhere the birch trees and snowbank with liquid glue.
  • Adhere the red car with foam-adhesive for added dimension.
  • Add the quokkas on the focal panel with liquid glue.
  • Stamp the sentiment on some black card stock.  Sprinkle some white embossing powder and heat-set with the heating tool.
  • Adhere the sentiment on the card.

I really LOVE how this card turned out and I hope you got inspired to use your older stamps and dies.  The supplies I used are listed and linked below.  Thanks for stopping by and have an amazing day!

Let’s Pour Some Holiday Cheer with Miss Ink Stamps

Hello Miss Ink fans!  I am sharing yet another holiday-themed card today showcasing the Blitzened Stamp Set with the Ins & Outs Bohemian Stencil Set. As soon as I saw this stamp set, I knew I just had to have it!

Here’s how I made the card:

  • Temporarily adhere stencil # 1 to an A2-size panel of Bristol Smooth white card stock using some Pixie Spray.
  • Ink-blend the panel with Spun Sugar and Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide Ink. Remove the stencil.
  • Place Stencil #2 and use Mustard Seed Distress Oxide Ink for the outline.
  • Stamp the images on some Neenah solar white card stock and color them in with alcohol markers.
  • Fussy-cut the images or use an electronic cutting machine to cut them out. I used my Scan N Cut Machine to cut the images that I colored.
  • Adhere the focal image on the card panel with foam adhesive for added dimension.
  • Adhere some star die-cuts to the card and use white gel pen to add some dots and stars to the panel for added interest and texture.  [Designer’s tip: These tiny details really help to make a cute card.]
  • Finish the card design by stamping the sentiment with VersaFine Claire in Nocturne.

I hope you like my holiday-themed card today and got inspired.  The supplies I used are listed and linked below.  Thank you for stopping by!

For day 2, we are showcasing the All Booked Up Stamp Set + Coordinating Dies and Bookmark Die Set.

I started by stamping the images from the All Booked Up Stamp Set on some Neenah Solar White Card Stock. I colored the images in with alcohol markers and used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

Next, I used the new Bookmark Die Set to die-cut some Bristol Smooth white card stock. I ink-blended this panel with Twisted Citron and Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide inks. I also used some White Copic paint to splatter some white paint on the bookmark for added interest.

I adhered the colored images on the bookmark and added glossy accents to the eyeglasses for added texture. I set this aside to let it dry for about half an hour and worked on adding a sentiment to the bookmark. I stamped the sentiment on some black card stock and with Versamark ink and sprinkled some white embossing powder to this. I heat-set the powder with my heating tool and adhered the sentiment onto the bookmark.

I finished the bookmark by adhering some gold stars. I also added some blue ribbon with white & gold twine and for a little bit of a festive and fun touch, I added the gold jingle bells!

CC Designs NOVEMBER Release – OTTERS

HELLO and welcome to the November Reveal Day by CC Designs. The Design Team is so excited to share with you a few projects that we created showcasing the ADORABLE Otters Stamp Set and coordinating dies.

I started by stamping the images on some Neenah solar white card stock with Memento Tuxedo black ink. I colored the images in with my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and used the coordinating dies to die-cut them all out. I colored a few images and you will see more samples in the next few days.

The background panel was ink blended using two different stencils with some dye inks. I used my black gel pen to trace the outline of the heart stencil to give it more dimension. I adhered this panel to an A-2 size notecard.

Since the background pattern is quite busy, I wanted to diffuse the colors a little bit by adding some vellum that I die-cut using a heart die from my stash. I adhered this onto the background panel using my tape runner. I foam-mounted the focal image for added dimension (just to make it stand out a little!).

I finished my card design by adding the sentiment that I heat-embossed with white embossing powder.

CC Designs NOVEMBER Release – SNOWMAN INCHIES

HELLO and welcome to the November Reveal Day by CC Designs. The Design Team is so excited to share with you a few projects that we created showcasing the ADORABLE Snowman Inchies Stamp Set and Coordinating dies that perfectly coordinates with the Inchies Circle Metal Die and the Snow Metal Die.

I started by stamping the images on some Neenah solar white card stock with Memento Tuxedo black ink. I colored the images in with my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and used the coordinating dies to die-cut them all out.

I also die-cut the word “Snow” with the Snow Metal Die on some red card stock and used my white gel pen to create the “snow”.

Next, I die-cut some pattern paper from Sunny Studios called Very Merry 6×6 Paper Pad that already has a “snowy background scene” so it was easy to just adhere the colored images on this panel. I did die-cut the snowbank using a die from my collection for added interest and texture and foam-mounted it onto the card.

I finished my design by stamping the sentiment. Here’s another look:

Cute Penguins Christmas Card with CC Designs

Hello! I am so happy that you stopped by today. I am back with another inspiration today, showcasing the Cute Penguins Stamp Set and coordinating dies with the Joy Noel Metal Die by CC Designs.

I didn’t want to use traditional Christmas colors and decided to do some pinks, blues and mint green.

Here’s how I made the card:

  • Stamp the images on some alcohol-friendly card stock and die-cut the images with the coordinating dies.
  • Color the images in with alcohol markers (or any medium of your choice).
  • Die-cut the word “Joy” using the Joy Noel Metal Die on some dark pink card stock that matches the color of the images.
  • Adhere the patterned paper on some A2-size notecard.
  • Die-cut the snow banks and little trees with some white and patterned paper.
  • Assemble the card by adhering the snowbank with the trees first, and layer the other panel using tape runner.
  • Adhere the focal images and the word “Joy” on the card with liquid glue.
  • Stamp the sentiment using some Dark Red dye ink.

I LOVE these cute little penguins so much! Aren’t they so adorable? Who wouldn’t like to receive a cute Christmas card like this?! This stamp set is a must-have for any stamper.

I hope you like the card and got inspired today. The supplies I used are listed and linked below. Thank you for stopping by today, and happy stamping!

NND OCTOBER Release Day 2 – Holiday Home + Christmas Cactus

It is Day 2 of the October reveals by Newton’s Nook Designs.  I hope you were able to check out yesterday’s reveal.  You also have a chance to win the stamp set being revealed each day so please read through ’til the end of the blog post to find out more info.  [Just a little important note:  I know some of you had difficulties finding the comments section.  If you would like to leave a comment to participate in the giveaway, the “comments section” will only be ever visible when a single post on Word Press is being viewed. Please click on this particular blog post and you will be able to leave a comment below.  Thank you!]

For today’s reveals, we are showcasing the Holiday Home Stamp Set and Coordinating Dies with the Christmas Cactus Stamp Set and Dies.

When I first saw this Holiday Home Stamp Set, I immediately thought of this design in my head. I knew wanted to create a storybook scene to capture this magical Christmas evening. I paired it up with the Snow Globe Scenes stamp set.

I started by creating the background panel by ink-blending the background with distress oxide inks on some Bristol Smooth white card stock. I sprayed it with water and picked up the excess with paper towel.

Next, I stamped the images from the Holiday Home Stamp Set and Snow Globe Scenes on some Neenah solar white card stock and colored the images in with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.  I used the coordinating die to die-cut them all out.

To create the snowbanks, I die-cut some Neenah solar white card stock using the Land Border Dies and the Sea Border Dies. I colored the edges with my alcohol markers in blue and used the blender to soften the edges.

Having all of the components on hand, I started to assemble the card. The background panel was adhered on some A2-size white notecard. I foam-mounted the first snowbank for added dimension and added the second one with liquid glue. I adhered the colored images on the card panel with either foam or liquid adhesive.

I stamped the sentiment on the foreground with Memento Tuxedo black ink and colored the letters with the same markers I used to color the images, for a more cohesive look. I finished my card design by adding Stickles to the “snowy” trees and the hats.

The next card is Clean & Simple. I stamped the images a few times on some Bristol smooth white card stock with Versafine ink in Onyx Black. I colored the images in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers.

I adhered the colored panel on some A2-size white notecard.

I finished the card design by stamping the sentiment on some black card stock with Versamark ink. I sprinkled some white embossing powder to this and heat-set with my heating tool. I fussy-cut the sentiment and adhered on the card with liquid glue.

Would you like to win the “Holiday Home” or the “Christmas Cactus”  Stamp Set?  We will choose ONE lucky winner for each stamp set!

HELLO and welcome to the October Reveal Day by CC Designs. The Design Team is so excited to share with you a few projects that we created showcasing the CUTE PENGUINS Stamp Set and coordinating dies.

I started by stamping the images from the Cute Penguins stamp set on some Neenah solar white card stock with Memento Tuxedo black ink. I colored the images in with my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and used the coordinating dies to die-cut them all out.

Next, I used a die from my collection to create a box card and also die-cut the birch trees to create my winter scene. I assembled them quickly with liquid glue.
