For day 3, we are showcasing the Batty Newton stamp set and coordinating dies, along with the Spooky Roundabout stamp set (coordinates with the Circle Frames and Banner Trio die sets) and Spiderweb Stencil.
To make my first card, I cut an A2 size panel of some Bristol smooth white card stock. I inked up the background with some distress oxide inks. I used some black watercolor and my brush to flick some speckles on the background and left this panel to dry for about 15 minutes.
I stamped the “spooky” tree from the Spooky Tree stamp set with Versafine Onyx black ink. I stamped the rest of the images on some Neenah solar white card stock and colored them in with my Spectrum Noir Tri-blend markers. I die-cut the images using the coordinating dies.
The black scallop frame was die-cut from the Frames & Flags die-set and foam-mounted to the colored panel for added dimension. I die-cut the picket fence using the Fence Die setand adhered on the card with some liquid glue. The moon was die-cut using the Circle Frames die set.
I foam-mounted the focal image on the card for added dimension. I adhered the rest of the images with liquid glue.
To finish my design, I used my white gel pen to add some dots to the card to make them look like stars. Here’s another look:
For my second card, I started by stamping my image on some Neenah solar white card stock. I colored the images in with my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.
I cut another A2 size panel of some black card stock and used the Circle frames die set to die-cut the window. I used the same dies to die-cut an orange scallop to ground the images. I foam-mounted this piece on the colored image.
I used my Turquoise blue Tri-Blend marker to add some dots for added texture.
To finish my design, I used the Spiderweb stencil with some white pigment ink and mini-sponge dauber to add the spiderweb. I stamped the sentiment with some Versamark ink and sprinkled some white embossing powder. I used my heating tool to heat-set the sentiment. Here’s another look:
