For Day 3, we are showcasing the Spring Blooms Oval Stamp Set that coordinates with the previously released Oval Frames Die Set.

The background was once again made by using the Prima Mixed Media Pastel Dreams Watercolor Confections. This time I used the pink, orange and yellow color combinations with a flat paintbrush. I also used the Heat Gun to speed up the drying process and adhered the background panel on some top-folding notecard.

The image was stamped using some memento tuxedo black ink and die-cut using the Oval Frames Die Set. I colored the images in using Spectrum Noir TriBlend Brush Markers.

Sine I want the background colors to show, I used my precision snips to cut the middle and foam-mounted this focal image onto the card for added dimension.

The sentiment was stamped onto some black card stock that was die-cut using the smallest die from the Circle Frames Die Set and adhered with liquid glue. I finished the design by adding some Ranger Ink Twinkle Stickles Glitter Glue for added texture and interest.

For Day 3, we are showcasing the Never Enough Dogs Stamp Set and coordinating dies. I also used the Circle Frames Die Set for my project today.

My card below is very simple but I love how it turned out!

I started by stamping the image on some X-Press It Blending Card and colored the image in with alcohol markers. I used the coordinating die to cut it out. I adhered the pattern paper from the Love & Woofs Paper Pad on the card base.

The scallop circle and the scallop pattern paper were die-cut using the Circle Frames Die Set and foam-mounted onto the card for added dimension.

I adhered the focal image with liquid glue and finished the design by adding the sentiment that I heat-embossed on black card stock. Here’s another look:

For Day 3, we are showcasing the Puppy Friends stamp set and its coordinating dies.

I started by creating the background by using the Slimline Masking Stencil – Squares with some quick-dry dye inks on Neenah solar white card stock. I layered the colors using some blending brushes, making sure they didn’t overlap too much.

I adhered the colored background on some A-2 size notecard.

Next, I stamped the images on some Neenah solar white card stock and colored the images in with Spectrum Noir TriBlend markers.  I used the coordinating die to cut them out. I also die-cut the circle frames by combining two dies from the Circle Frames die set.

I foam-mounted the circle frame and my focal image in the middle of the card-front for added dimension.

I finished my card design by adding the sentiment strip that was die-cut and heat-embossed using the Banner Trio die set. Easy, peasy!

Happy Easter Card with Newton’s Nook Designs

Hello my crafty friends!  The weather has been so unpredictable lately and I know some of you are having some major snow storm.  I hope my colorful card today will cheer you up a little.  For today’s project, I am showcasing the Bunny Tails Stencil, Hop Into Spring Stamp Set and coordinating dies along with the Circle Frames die set, Land Border die set and Clouds Stencil.

I stamped the image on Neenah solar white card stock using Memento Rich Cocoa ink and colored the images in with alcohol markers.  I used the coordinating die to die-cut the image.

I cut another panel of Neenah solar white card stock measuring 4 1/4 x 5 1/2.  I sprayed my Bunny Stencil (#1) with Pixie Spray.  I waited for the stencil to dry a little and placed it on top of my card stock.  The pixie spray gave it some light tack so that it didn’t shift while blending the colors.  I used some low tack tape to mask-off the the lower portion of the stencil so that the colors don’t contaminate each other.  I used my blending brushes to add pink, then peach, yellow, blue and purple.  The bunny tails were added using stencil #2 with some textured paste and my palette knife for added texture and dimension.  I set this aside for about half an hour to let it dry and added foam tape at the back of the panel.

I used the “positive” die-cut to pencil the lines on my notecard.  I then used my clouds stencil and some dye ink to create the clouds.  The grass panel was die-cut using the same circle die that I used to create the window and the land border die.  I foam-mounted the focal panel onto the notecard.  I also added the grass and the bunny with some glue.  I finished my design by stamping the sentiment on some black card stock.  I sprinkled some white embossing powder and heat-set with my heating tool.  I fussy-cut the sentiment with my precision snips and adhered to the card with glue.  Here’s another look:

I hope you like my card today.  The supplies I use are listed and linked below.  Thanks for stopping by!

Not A Creature Was Stirring…..

Hello Newton’s Nook fans! I’m back today to share with you this cute “cheesy” Christmas card, showcasing the Naughty & Mice stamp set and coordinating dies, along with the Banner Trio die setPines & Holly die set and Circle Frames die set.

To make my card, I die-cut an A2 size panel of some yellow card stock and used one of the circle die from the Circle Frames die set to die-cut a few holes.  I wanted this piece to look like “cheese”.  I inked up this panel with some Fossilized Amber distress oxide ink to create some shadows for added texture.  I foam-mounted this piece on an A-2 size card base for added dimension and my scissors to cut-off the excess.

Next, I stamped the mice on some Neenah solar white card stock and colored them in my alcohol markers.  I used the coordinating dies to cut them out.  I die-cut the pine boughs using the Pines & Holly die set and adhered on the card with liquid glue.

I added the mice with foam adhesive and finished my design by adding the sentiment strip that was die-cut using the Banner Trio die set.  Easy Peasy!  Here’s another look:

I hope you like my card today.  The supplies I use are listed and linked below.  Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have an amazing day!

For Day 3, we are showcasing with the Snowman Roundabout stamp set that also coordinates with the previously released Circle Frames die set and Banner Trio dies.

I decided to make a Christmas tag today.  To begin, I used the scallop from the Circle Frames die set and die-cut with some Neenah solar white 110 lb. card stock.  I positioned this panel inside my Misti and stamped the image using the stamp set.

I used my alcohol markers to color the images in.  Lately, I have been using a lot of traditional Christmas colors on my cards so I decided to change my theme this month and use pastel colors.

The sentiment strip was die-cut using the Banner Trio Frame and embossed with some embossing powder.  I foam-mounted this onto the panel for added dimension.

To finish my tag, I used my Crop-A-Dile to punch a hole and inserted some silk ribbon.  I also used the black & white twine with some gold jingle bell for some contrast and added some Startdust Stickles to finishthe tag.  Here’s another look:

My scene was created by adding the grass panel die-cut from the same circle dies I used earlier and the Land borders die.  I adhered this onto the card with glue.

The bats and “TRICK OR TREAT” were die-cut using the dies from the Halloween Trio die set.   I adhered them onto the card with some liquid glue.

To finish my design, I used my white gel pen to draw some dots to the sky to make them look like stars.  Here’s another look:

For my second card, I die-cut the circle from the Circle Frames die set on some Bristol smooth white card stock.  I ink-blended this piece with some distress oxide inks.   I used the same circle die and the Land Border die to die-cut the grass.

The background was created by using the Spiderweb stencil and some light gray dye ink.  I cut this panel to 4 1/4 by 5 1/4 and adhered on an A2 size panel, that was colored with the Houndstooth stencil.   I die-cut some black strip and adhered onto the card with liquid glue.  I also die-cut some black party streamers  using a die from my collection and the bats using the Halloween Trio die set.

I stamped the image and used alcohol markers to color it in.  I used the coordinating die to die-cut the image and adhered on the circle.  I foam-mounted this piece on my card for added dimension.  Here’s another lookK
