Take advantage of this sale because there’s a TON of AMAZING products right now that you can purchase with a huge discount.

For my project today, I am showcasing the Happy Little Thoughts Stamp Set and Happy Little Thoughts Coordinating Dies. The background pattern paper is from the Love & Meows 6×6 Paper Pad that was die-cut using the scallop from the Frames & Flags Die Set.

Here’s how I made this card:

  • stamp the images on some Neenah solar white card stock and color the images in with alcohol markers.
  • die-cut the images using the coordinating dies.
  • die-cut the background panel using the scallop die from the Frames & Flags Die Set and Love & Meows 6×6 Paper Pad. Matt this piece with some red card stock for a little dimension and adhere on an A2-size notecard.
  • die-cut the small rectangle using the die from the Frames & Flags Die Set and Happy Little Thoughts Coordinating Dies.
  • adhere some acetate sheet behind this panel and add foam adhesive to create the shaker well.
  • in-lay the colored image on this panel with liquid glue.
  • add some clear sequins with a few heart enamels as the shaker element and adhere this panel on the card front.
  • stamp the sentiment on some black card stock with versamark ink and sprinkle with white embossing powder. Use heating tool to heat-set the sentiment.
  • fussy-cut the sentiment with precision snips and adhere on the card.
  • finish the design by adding the bow (die-cut using the bow die from the Baby Bib Die Set) with liquid glue.

Retiring Products Feature Week with Newton’s Nook Designs

Did you see that Newton’s Nook Designs is having a retiring sale on their website? It’s time to make room for new products so they are retiring select designs! These designs are available at up to 40% off while supplies last so hurry and get your favorites before they’re gone for good!

For my project today, I am showcasing the Newton Dreams of Paris Stamp Set and coordinating dies. I am really sad that this is retiring because it’s one of my favorites!

I started by stamping my images on Neenah solar white card stock and colored the images in with my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.  I used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

The background was created by die-cutting the scallop using the Slimline Frames & Portholes die set, on some Bristol Smooth White Card Stock. I used my masking tape to mask off the scallop portion of the card stock, then ink-blended this slimline panel using 3 of my favorite stencils –> Hills & Grass, Sunscape and Clouds Stencil. I took the masking tape and adhered this panel on a slimline card base.

I didn’t want any dimension on this card so I adhered the images with some liquid glue.

I finished my design by adding the sentiment from the Thankful Thoughts Stamp Set that I stamped and heat-embossed on some black card stock. Here’s another look at the card:

I hope you like my “just-because” card today and got inspired.  The supplies I use are listed and linked below.

Just Because Floral Card with CAS-ual Fridays Stamps

Hey CAS-ual Fridays fans!  It’s finally spring, yay!  I went to the grocery store today and saw a plethora of flowers ranging from baby’s breath to tulips!  This is my inspiration for today’s card.
I started by stenciling the flower images on some Neenah Solar White Card Stock using the Terrific Flowers Stencil, with some quick dry dye inks using my mini sponge daubers.
Next, I stamped the Terrific Flowers Stamp on some iridescent Vellum Paper with Versamark ink.  I sprinkled some white embossing powder on top, then heat-set with my heating tool.  I used my precision snips to fussy-cut the image.  I adhered the vellum onto my card using some Art Glitter Glue, for added texture and interest.
I finished my design by stamping the sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black ink and added the Bokeh sequins with liquid glue.  Here’s another look:
Even though this card is very simple, I really LOVE how this turned out.  The vellum added some whimsical touch to the overall card design.

For day 4, we are showcasing the Newton’s Flower Garden stamp set and coordinating dies.

Super simple card to begin with.  I used the Sunscape stencil with some mini ink-blending tools and Mustard Seed distress oxide ink to create the sun.  I also used the Hills & Grass stencil to create the landscape for Newton.

For added texture and dimension to the landscape, I used the grass border die to die-cut some patterned paper and adhered them on the ink-blended panel with some liquid glue.

The images were stamped with some Spectrum Noir Rustic Brown ink and colored with my Copic markers.  I die-cut the images using the coordinating dies and adhered them on the card with some liquid glue.  I also die-cut the clouds using the Sky Scene Builder die set.  This is one of my favorite dies of all time.

I finished my design my stamping the sentiment with some Versafine Onyx black ink and added the sparkling clear sequins.  Here’s another look:
