It is the second day of the reveals by Newton’s Nook Designs  and I hope you were able to check out yesterday’s reveal.  You also have a chance to win each stamp set during release week so check out the details I have indicated at the end of this blog post.  [Just a little important note:  I know some of you had difficulties finding the comments section.  If you would like to leave a comment to participate in the giveaway, the “comments section” will only be ever visible when a single post on Word Press is being viewed. For today’s reveal, we are showcasing the adorable Bitty Bibs stamp set and Baby Bibs coordinating dies with the Sky Scene Builder die set.

To create my card, I stamped the images on some Neenah solar white card stock and colored the images in with my Spectrum Noir TriBlend markers.  I fussy-cut the images using my  Honey Bee precision scissors.  I die-cut the scallop bibs using the Bitty Bibs die set and adhered the colored images on top of it with some liquid glue.

I die-cut the yellow background with some yellow card stock and used the new Petite Flowers stencil to add more depth and color.   I adhered this piece on an A2 size card base.  The wavy border frame was die-cut using a die from my stash and foam-mounted on the card.  I also foam mounted the colored bibs for stability.

The sentiment was stamped on some black card stock with versamark ink and heat-embossed with my heating tool.

To finish my design, I added the hearts that were stamped and colored using the What A Hoot stamp set.  I absolutely LOVE all the colors on this card.  The bright yellow background made the images pop!  Here’s a closer look:

To finish my design, I stamped the sentiment with Versamark ink and sprinkled some embossing powder, then heat-set using my heating tool.  I added some white heart sprinkles to adorn the card and glossy accents to the heart for more texture and dimension.  Here’s a closer look:

For the first day of the reveals, we are showcasing the Hop Into Spring stamp set and coordinating dies, with the Raindrops and Petite Flowers Stencil.

I started by die-cutting the scallop card stock using the scallop die from the Frames and Flags die set.  I created the sky background and the hills using the Clouds stencil, the hills from the Hills & grass stencil with some distress oxide inks.

The grass was die-cut using the Land Borders die set and inked up with Mowed Lawn distress oxide ink, and adhered on the background with foam adhesive.

I stamped my image using Memento Tuxedo black ink and colored them in with Spectrum Noir TriBlend markers.  I adhered this piece with some liquid glue.

The word “Happy” was die-cut using the Holiday Greetings die set, while the word “EASTER” was die cut using the Essential Alphabet die set.  I wanted the words to have different pastel colors so I used my TriBlend markers again to color them in.  I adhered the letters using some liquid glue.  Here’s that it looks like:

To finish my design, I added the butterfly from the Newton’s Birdbath stamp set.

Newton’s Nook January Release Day 4 – Newton’s Valentine & Newton’s Crafty Cardio

I always get a bit bummed because it is the last day of the January release.  I hope you guys were able to check out the first three days as we showcased the new stencil, stamps and dies.  Which one is your favorite so far??  You also have a chance to win each stamp set during release week so check out the details I have indicated at the end of this blog post.  [Just a little important note:  I know some of you had difficulties finding the comments section.  If you would like to leave a comment to participate in the giveaway, the “comments section” will only be ever visible when a single post on Word Press is being viewed. For the last day of the reveals, we are showcasing the Newton’s Valentine stamp set + coordinating dies with Newton’s Crafty Cardio stamp set + coordinating dies.

For my first card, I inked up some Bristol smooth white card stock with some Peacock Feathers distress oxide ink with my mini ink-blending tools.  I used the Cloudy Sky stencil to add more depth and dimension to my scene.  I die-cut my grass panels using the Land Borders die set.  I also die-cut the rest of the elements that I needed to create my scene with some dies from my stash.

I stamped and colored the images in with my alcohol markers and die-cut using the coordinating dies.  I assembled the card adhering and layering the pieces with some foam and liquid adhesive.

I stamped the sentiment with Versamark ink and sprinkled some embossing powder and heat-set using my heating tool.  Lastly, I stamped the hearts on the clouds with some lobster ink.  Here’s what it looks like:

I did add some glossy accents to the big heart but you can barely see them on the photos.  It is really petty in real life though.

My second card is pretty simple.  I also ink-blended my background with Aged Mahogany distress oxide ink and added the white images by stamping them using Versamark, sprinkling some white embossing powder and heat setting them with my heating tool.  Here’s the second card:

To adorn this card, I added some Pastel Scissors Sequins by Kat Scrappiness.

Would you like to win the “Newtons Crafty Cardio” or the “Newton’s Valentine” Stamp Set?  We will choose ONE lucky winner for each stamp set!

For the third day of the reveals, we are showcasing the Puppy Playtime stamp set + coordinating dies.

To begin, I stamped my images on some Neenah solar white card stock and used my Spectrum Noir Classique markers to color the images in. I die-cut the images using the coordinating die.  The balloon image is from the Fabulous Frenchies stamp set.

I inked up my card panel with some Mustard Seed and Worn Lipstick distress oxide inks.  I then used the Balloon stencil to add more depth and dimension to the background.  I used my distress sprayer and sprayed some water onto the card to get the oxidation effect and used paper towel to make it dry.  I die-cut this piece using the scallop die from the Frames & Flags die set.

I adhered this piece on some light blue card stock and added them to a white side fold card base.  I foam-mounted the images onto the card and added glossy accents to the balloon.

Lastly, I die-cut the “wishes” using a die from my stash and adhered this with liquid adhesive.  I stamped the sentiment using Versafine Onyx black ink.  Here’s my birthday card:

I don’t know about you, but a puppy with a balloon wearing a party hat is a good birthday party celebration in my book!!  Here’s a closer look:

For the second day of the reveals, we are showcasing the Love Quarry stamp set + coordinating dies.

To create this card, I started by stamping my images on some Neenah solar white card stock and used my alcohol markers to color the images. I die-cut the images using the coordinating dies.

I want my scene to look like these tractors are moving those hearts back and forth so I decided to cut my card stock four times using the land border die.   I ink-blended some of the die-cuts with Tumbled Glass distress oxide inks with my mini ink blending tools.

I adhered the die-cut pieces on an A2-size sidefold card base using either foam or liquid adhesives.  After adhering my images on the card, I realized I was still missing something so I decided to add the clouds using a die from my stash.   Lastly, I stamped the sentiment using some lobster ink.  Here’s the card:

I finished my design by adding glossy accents to the tractors.  I know you can’t see it on the photo but they look like glass.  Here’s a closer look:

Newton’s Nook January Release Day 1 – Tides of Love and Bokeh Hearts Stencil

Please click on this particular blog post and you will be able to leave a comment below.  Thank you!]

For the first day of the reveals, we are showcasing the Tides of Love stamp set + coordinating dies with the Bokeh Hearts Stencil.

To begin, I sprayed my stencil with Pixie spray and cut an A2 size piece of some Bristol smooth white card stock.  I layered stencil no. 1 from the new Bokeh Hearts stencil and used my blending tool and fog ink to add the first set of hearts on my background.  I used stencil no. 2 and Pumice stone distress oxide ink to add the second layer of hearts.

Next, I used some scalloped heart die from my stash to die-cut my ink-blended background.  I also die-cut another heart with some pink card stock and added some texture to this using the Waves stencil with Worn lipstick distress oxide ink.  Since my background is pretty neutral, I wanted to make my focal point stand out.

I foam-mounted the neutral background on a side fold card base and inlaid my focal piece with liquid adhesive.  I stamped and colored my image with my alcohol markers and used the coordinating die to cut this piece.  I foam mounted this image onto my card.

To finish my design, I stamped the sentiment with Versamark ink and sprinkled some embossing powder, then heat-set using my heating tool.  I added some white heart sprinkles to adorn the card and glossy accents to the heart for more texture and dimension.  Here’s a closer look:

Happy Valentine’s Day Card with Cas-ual Fridays

Hello CFS fans! Maria here on the blog with you today, sharing a Valentine’s Day shaker card, showcasing the Hearts A2 Panel Fri-die and the sentiment is from the Love Notes stamp set.

To begin, I started off ink-blending a rainbow background on Bristol smooth white card stock with Distress Oxide inks in Mustard Seed, Ripe Persimmon, Worn Lipstick, Peacock Feathers and Seedless Preserves.

I die-cut my ink-blended panel with the Hearts A2 Panel Fri-die.  I adhered some acetate sheet on this piece and added foam adhesive to create my shaker panel.

I added some rainbow confetti dots as my shaker element and adhered the panel on top of an A2-size black card base.

I stamped the sentiment on a black strip with versamark ink and sprinkled some white embossing powder.  I used my heating tool to heat emboss the sentiment and adhered this piece on my card with my tape runner.  Here’s what it looks like:

The black background just made the rainbow panel pop.  Here’s a closer look:

Life Is Tough But So Are You with Newton’s Nook Designs

Hello Newton’s Nook fans!  I hope you all had a great holiday with your loved ones!  I sure enjoyed having spent Christmas and New Year’s with my family.  Quality time with my husband and children is one of the things I cherish that nurtures my soul.  I needed a break from all of my DT responsibilities  and so grateful that I got to do it this year.

One of my friends was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and she is currently going through chemo.  Thank God they were able to detect it at an early stage.  However, going through chemo is taking its toll on her tiny frame that she is starting to feel really depressed.  I wanted to cheer her up by creating this card today, showcasing the Newton’s Support stamp set.

I started by creating my own mask by die-cutting a circle on some 110 lb card stock with my circle die.  I used washi tape to temporarily adhere this piece on some Bristol smooth white card stock.  I used my blending brush and Worn Lipstick distress oxide ink to ink up my card stock.  I splattered some water on the card stock and dabbed it with my paper towel to dry.

I stamped my image on some Neenah solar white card stock and colored the image with my alcohol markers.  Since this set didn’t have a coordinating die, I used my cutter-bee scissors to fussy-cut the image.  I also die-cut the “big hugs” circle twice, using a die from my stash and adhered them together with some liquid adhesive.

I adhered the ink-blended background on some pink card base and also adhered the “big hugs” die-cut with some liquid adhesive.  I foam-mounted my colored image in the middle of the circle.  Lastly, I stamped my sentiment using Versafine Onyx black ink.  Here’s what it looks like:

My friend also LOVES cats so this stamp set is perfect to use for my card today.  Here’s a closer look:

I hope you like my card today.  The supplies I used are listed and linked below.  Thank you so much for stopping by today and happy stamping!
