For today’s release, the design team is showcasing the Festive Fawns stamp set and coordinating dies.

To begin, I stamped my images on some Neenah solar white card stock.  I also stamped the peppermints from the Newton’s Candy Cane stamp set.  I colored the images in with my Spectrum Noir Alcohol markers and die-cut the images using the coordinating dies.

I die-cut the trees from the Forest Scene Builder die set.  I inked up some Bristol smooth white card stock with distress oxide inks and used a die from my stash to create my scene.  I foam-mounted this piece on an A2 size card base.  I adhered the trees with some liquid adhesive and foam-mounted the deer and the peppermints.

Lastly, I added some Crystal Nuvo drops on the peppermints for some added texture and shine, and stamped the sentiment on my card.  Here’s a little close-up:

Today’s reveal will get you in the mood for Halloween and we are showcasing a lot of products –> the Witchy Newton stamp set and coordinating dies, Happy Howl-oween stamp set and coordinating dies and the Ghosts stencil.

For my first card, I also used the Spooky Halloween stamp set and the Land Border die set.

I ink-blended my background with some distress oxide inks and die-cut the other elements that I needed to create my scene.   I stamped and colored my images with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and used the dies to die-cut the images.  I foam-mounted the image on my card and finished my design by stamping my sentiment with Versamark ink and heat-set this with my heating tool.  Here’s a closer look:

For my second card, I masked my Bristol smooth white card stock with masking paper and ink-blended this piece with some distress oxide inks.  I adhered this piece on some A2 size black card base.

I used the Picket Fence die for the picket fence and the Land Border die set for the grass with some black card stock.  I assembled the card by adhering all of the pieces that I needed for my Halloween scene.

I added the ghosts using the Ghosts stencil on my card by slightly tracing the images with my Versamark pen.  I sprinkled some white embossing powder and heat-set this with my heating tool.  I did the same thing for my sentiment.  I finished the design by stamping the bats.  Here’s a closer look:

Are you now in the mood for Halloween?  I love all of the stamps, dies and stencil that we revealed this week!  Jennifer is truly an AMAZING artist!

It is the third day of the August reveals by Newton’s Nook Designs.   Were you able to check out the first two days of the reveals?  Which one is your favorite so far?  There’s more to come and you are going to LOVE today’s stamp set.  You also have a chance to win each stamp set during release week so check out the details I have indicated at the end of this blog post.  [Just a little important note:  I know some of you had difficulties finding the comments section.  If you would like to leave a comment to participate in the giveaway, the “comments section” will only be ever visible when a single post on Word Press is being viewed. For today’s release, the design team is showcasing the Autumn Mice stamp set and Autumn Mice coordinating dies:

To begin, I stamped my images on some Neenah solar white card stock.  I colored the images in with my Spectrum Noir Alcohol markers and used the coordinating dies to die-cut the images.

I couldn’t pick a favorite image because they’re all so cute and AMAZING!  I decided to feature all of them in one card.  I used a storybook die from my stash to die-cut the white frame.   I adhered a gingham patterned paper onto an A2-size card base.  I foam-mounted the frame on my card and also adhered the mice with foam adhesives.

To give the card more texture but not overwhelm the whole design, I die-cut the same gingham patterned paper using the circle from the Frames squared stamp set and banner dies from my stamp.  I adhered these pieces on my card with liquid adhesive.

To finish the design, I stamped my sentiment with Versafine Onyx black ink.  Here’s a closer look:

Hope Shaker Card with Cas-ual Fridays Stamp

Hello everyone! It’s Maria back on the blog with you today with another card, showcasing the Tin Roof Cover Die and the Big Hope Fri-Die.

This type of card is never easy to make.  A friend of mine was diagnosed with breast cancer a few months ago and she is currently going through some chemo treatment.  She’s doing really well (thank the Lord above)!  I will be sending her a gift and so I created this card to go along with it.

This card is really simple to make and I didn’t even do any stamping.  I started by die-cutting the Tin Roof Cover Die with a 110 lb. white card stock.  I also die-cut the word “hope” and set both aside as I worked on my background.

I ink-blended an A2 size Bristol Smooth white card stock with Spun Sugar and Worn Lipstick using a sunburst stencil.  I know you can hardly see the inside but it is a sun-ray.  I figured the significance of this would have a huge impact since there’s always light at the end of the tunnel, and she is almost there!

I die-cut a frame die and adhered my Tin Roof die-cut behind the frame.  I wanted to create a shaker card and needed the frame to cover the foam tape.  I also adhered the acetate sheet to keep the shaker elements intact.

I used some light pink and crystal sequins mix with sparkling stars for my shaker element.  This card is so pretty in real life.

To finish my design, I ink-blended the “hope” die-cut with the same distress oxide ink that I used for the background and layered it with some dark gray card stock to add some texture and dimension.  Here’s a closer look:

I hope you like my project today.  Please visit CAS-ual Fridays Stamps  to purchase the stamp and dies that I featured today.  Don’t forget to use my coupon code “MARIASENTME” for 15% off your order.  Happy stamping!

Newton’s Nook Designs 6-Year Celebration – Day 4

I always get bummed during the last day of the reveals but don’t be sad because tomorrow, we will have a huge blog hop.   I hope you were able to check out the first three days of the reveal.  Which one is your favorite so far?  As I mentioned before, I can’t even pick a favorite this month!

You also have a chance to win a $20 store credit everyday during release week so check out the details I have indicated at the end of this blog post.  [Just a little important note:  I know some of you had difficulties finding the comments section.  If you would like to leave a comment to participate in the giveaway, the “comments section” will only be ever visible when a single post on Word Press is being viewed. For our projects today, the design team is showcasing quite a few stamp sets and coordinating dies so I will not have a step-by-step instruction.  I will only be showing you the photos and close-ups.  However, I will have a YouTube video sometime in the next coming weeks to show you some of the cards that I created today.  Be sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel if you haven’t already.  For today’s reveal we are showcasing the Lemon Twist, Gull Friend, Newton’s Melon and Shrimp Cocktails stamp set + coordinating dies.

Here’s my card showcasing the Lemon Twist stamp set.  I also used the Serene Stripes stencil and Tombow markers to color my images.

I added the sentiment “make lemonade” inside the card.

Here’s my card showcasing the Gull Friends stamp set.   I cannot even describe how much I just LOVE this cute stamp set:  I am just blown away on how Jennifer gets to design so many cute stamp set, dies and stencils.

I also used the Sunscape Stencil for my card and a small die from my stash to cut out the piece so I can insert the image.  I love, love, love this cutie!  Here’s a close-up:

Here’s my Newton’s Melon card.  I used the Speech Bubbles die set and ink-blended the card stock with some distress oxide ink to make it look like watermelon.  Clean and simple but I love how it turned out.

Here’s a closer look:

Last but not the least, here’s my Shrimp Cocktails card.  I used the Bubbly Stencil for my background with a some dye inks.  The bow is from the Pines & Holly die set.

This card just cracks me up!  I wanted to create my scene to make it look like they are hanging out and floating in a glass!  I love the shaker elements that I used for the card too.  Here’s a close-up:

Whew! What do you think?  Do you have a favorite?  I love, love, love all of the stamps, dies and stencils revealed this week.  Don’t forget to come back tomorrow because we are having a HUGE blog hop where Jennifer will be picking Six (6) lucky winners!

For our projects today, the design team is showcasing Zoo Party and Tropical Fringe stamp sets and they coordinate really well with the previously released Frames Squared die set.

To begin, I stamped my images using Spectrum Noir Finesse Alcohol Proof Dye Ink in Rustic Brown and colored my images in with Spectrum Noir TriBlend and Copic Markers.  I die cut the square using the Squared Fames die set. I also die-cut some patterned paper and black card stock to ground my image, and adhered them on a square card base.

I used my B000 Copic marker to add some shadows to the images to give them more dimension.  I finished my design by adding some white dot details for added texture to the birthday hat and the cheeks.  I also used my black Copic multi-liner to add some eyelashes to some of the animals.  Here’s a closer look:

I did the same steps on my next card but added an image from the Aloha Newton stamp set.  This time, I adhered the Frame onto an A2 size card base and used a stitching die to add more texture on the card.

I finished my design by stamping the sentiment and colored the letters with Copic markers.  I also used my white gel pen to add more details to the pineapple and hibiscus.  Here’s a closer look:

For our projects today, the design team is showcasing Newton’s Perfect Wave and Scuba Newton + coordinating dies:

I started with an A2-size Bristol smooth panel and used my Sunscape stencil and distress oxide ink to add the sun.  I die-cut different shades of blue card stock and used the Sea Borders die set to create the waves.  I also die-cut the Coconut trees and border frame from my stash to use for my scene and ink-blended them with distress oxide inks.

I stamped my image on smooth white card stock and colored him in with my Spectrum Noir Triblend markers.  I die-cut the image using the coordinating die.  I adhered my colored background to my card base and adhered the rest of the die-cuts with foam adhesive for added dimension.

I finished my design by adding glossy accents to Newton’s surfboard and stamped my sentiment on the card.  Here’s a closer look:

For my second card, I stamped and colored my images using my Copic markers and used the coordinating dies to die-cut them out.

I used a Sea-border die from my stash to use for my scene. I also ink-blended some Bristol smooth A2-size card stock with some distress oxide inks and sprayed them with water to make it look like bubbles.  I dabbed it with some paper towel, and adhered this piece on my card base.  I adhered the the rest of my elements to the card with foam adhesive to add some dimension and also used some liquid adhesive.

To finish my design, I added some blue enamel dots on the card for added interest and texture and used glossy accents to Newton’s goggles.  Here’s a closer look:

I absolutely LOVE creating “under-the-sea” and beach-themed cards!  You guys will be amazed on how many cute stamp sets we are revealing this week.  I can’t even pick a favorite!

You Make Me Jump For Joy and I Love ‘Roo cards with Kat scrappiness

Hello Kat Scrappiness fans!  I have some fun projects for you today showcasing A LOT of products available at the shop.

Before I start with the post, I just want you guys to know that there is a 20% site-wide sale going on and you can use the coupon code mentioned below.  Take advantage of this sale and get your favorite products while you can:

For my project today, I am showcasing the Hoppy For you stamp set, along with the Yellow Star Sprinkles, Pink Flower Sprinkles, Wood Grain Frame Die, Stitched Cloud Backdrop die and the Mandala Frame die.

I started out by stamping the images on Spectrum Noir Ulta Smooth Premium White card stock using Spectrum Noir Finesse Alcohol-Proof Black ink.  I colored the images in with my Spectrum Noir TriBlend alcohol markers.  I die-cut the images using my Scan N Cut machine.

I adhered some Pink Flower Sprinkles on the mommy Kangaroo and layered the baby kangaroo inside the mommy’s pouch with liquid and foam adhesive.

The A2 size panel was die-cut using the Stitched Cloud Backdrop die and ink blended with Bubblegum, Soft Lilac and Butter Ink using some blending brushes and my Clouds stencil die.  I know you can hardly see the clouds because of the shaker elements but It’s important to me to have all those details in creating my card.  I also die-cut the frame using the Wood Grain Frame Die.

I adhered some acetate sheet and foam adhesive on the Wood Gran Frame Die and added the Yellow Star Sprinkles with Fairy Dust confetti mix for my shaker element.

I die-cut some black card stock using the Stitched Flag die and stamped the sentiment with Versamark ink.  I sprinkled white embossing powder and heat-set this with my heating tool.  I finished my design by adhering the kangaroo on the front panel.  Here’s my card:

I always LOVE making shaker cards and with the new sprinkles and sequin mixes available at the shop, it’s hard not to make them all the time.  They are super fun to make!  Here’s a closer look:

For my next card, I also used the Mandala Frame die and created a very simple, white-on white card.  The “wreath” was die-cut using a die from Hero Arts that I bought from Kat Scrappiness years ago.  I layered the flowers I colored earlier with liquid and foam adhesive.

To finish my design, I used my white gel pen to add some interest and texture on the flowers.  Here’s a closer look:

I hope you got inspired today.  The supplies I used are listed and linked below.  Have an amazing day and happy crafting!
