Hello Newton’s Nook fans!  I have been getting requests from subbies to share more projects using patterned paper.  If you know me, I am not very good at mixing and matching patterned papers so this is quite the challenge for me.  For today’s card, I am showcasing the Love & Chocolate stamp set and coordinating dies.

I stamped my images on some Neenah solar white card stock and colored the images in with my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.  I used the coordinating dies to die-cut them all out.

Next, I cut some gingham patterned paper and some red and white card stock and adhered the pieces on my note card.  I foam-mounted my focal images on the card for added dimension.  I used glossy accents and covered the “chocolate” part of the strawberries for added texture.

I finished my design by adding the decorative scallop border, adhering the bow and stamped the sentiment with Versafine Onyx black ink.  I also added some small droplets on each strawberry to further adorn the card.  Here’s another look:
