2 Welcome Baby Cards with LDRS Creative

Hello LDRS fans! I am back on the blog with you today to share two Welcome Baby cards, showcasing the Hoppy Egg Hunt stamp set and coordinating dies, along with the Sophie Uppercase Die SetSophie Lowercase Die SetA2 Stitched Layered Card Toppers DieSlim Line Pocket Basket Weave Pocket Die SetPastel Dreams 6×6 Paper Pack, and Farmer’s Market 6×6 paper pack.  Here’s what they look like:
I started by stamping my images on some Neenah Solar White card stock with Raven Hybrid Ink.   I colored them in with alcohol markers.  I used the coordinating dies to die-cut the images.  Next, I die-cut two patterned papers from the 6×6 Pastel Dreams and 6×6 Farmer’s Market Paper Packs using the biggest die from the A2 Stitched Layered Card Toppers Die.  Both patterned papers kind of matched the alcohol markers that I used to color my focal images. I adhered both patterned papers to an A2 size notecard.
I used the scallop die from the Slim Line Pocket Basket Weave Pocket Die Set to die-cut two pieces and used the inner die with my embossing mat to emboss the middle.  I wanted to have more texture to this background without overwhelming the whole card design.  I adhered both pieces to my card using my ATG Tape Runner.  I also adhered the images on both cards.
I die-cut the word “Baby” twice using the Sophie Uppercase Die Set and Sophie Lowercase Die Set.  I used the same markers to color the die-cuts to match the little basket.  I also used a darker marker to highlight the bottom of the letters for added texture.  I adhered the letters on the card with liquid glue.
I finished my design by stamping the sentiment with Watermark Ink on some black card stock.  I sprinkled some White Embossing Powder on this and used my heating tool to heat-set the sentiment.  I fussy-cut the sentiment using my precision snips and adhered to the card using my ATG Tape Runner.  Here’s another look at both baby cards:
I hope you like my cards today.  The supplies I use are listed and linked below.  Thanks for stopping by today and happy crafting!

For today’s card, I am showcasing the Lovable Laundry Stamp Set and the Stitched Onesie die.

NND_17MARCH_LovableLaundry

I stamped my images on Neenah solar white card stock, and colored the images with my Copic markers. I die-cut the grass, using NND’s Land Border Dies.  I die-cut the baby clothes with its coordinating die.  I really love the stitching details it gives on the die-cut piece.

I used my clouds embossing folder and dry-embossed my card front panel. To give more definition to the clouds, I colored the embossed image with my Copic marker.  I adhered my stamped images and die-cut pieces to the embossed panel, with my Xyron tape runner.

To finish off the design, I added the sun, butterfly and gemstones to the baby clothes and stamped the 3 hearts on the clouds.  Here is the card:

Welcome Little One ~ LED Tea Light Vellum Card

There is an open challenge at MFT Stamps called “2016 Card Design Superstar” and I decided to participate. I love MFT Stamps and I figured what have I got to lose?

For my card below, I chose the Magical Dragons and Essential Sentiments stamp sets plus a whole bunch of die-namics I have in my stash.  The supplies I’ve used will all be listed down below.

I first stamped the images on Strathmore watercolor paper using VersaFine vintage sepia. Since the card is to welcome a little baby, I didn’t want to use black ink because I wanted the colors to be soft without any hard lines. I then used my Zig clean color brush markers to color the images. To make the colors softer and more pastel, I blended my coloring with my watercolor brush. Once I was satisfied with the colors, I set them out to dry and proceeded to partially die-cut the birch trees on my card base.  To build my forest scene, I die-cut the stitched cloud from the end of the rainbow die-namics set, rolling fence with the matching hill, grass fields, and I also used the stitched mountain die-namics to create the starry sky and cover my partial die-cutting on the top of the card.  I also die-cut the little hearts using tag builder blueprints no. 5.  It was a bit tricky to adhere the vellum cloud and the smoke speech bubble to the card but I was able to hide the adhesive behind.

Here are the photos of the card. I have taken a few shots with and without the LED tea light so you all can see how beautiful this turned out.

The last step I made was to stamp the smoke “speech bubble” using my Versamark ink, and I heat-embossed it with white embossing powder. I then adhered the little heart in the middle of the speech bubble. I wanted the image to look like the mother dragon was saying “I Love You” to her little one.  Can you imagine a new mom receiving this card?   She can also display this in her nursery.

Here are the supplies that I have used. They are all from MFT Stamps.

Magical Dragons stamp set

Die-Namics Magical Dragon

Essential Sentiments stamp set

Die-namics Stitched Mountain Range (for the starry sky)

Die-namics End of the Rainbow (the vellum cloud)

Die-namics Birch Trees

Die-namics Rolling Hills

Die-namics Grassy Fields

Die-namics Tag Builder Blueprints No. 5 (hearts confetti)

The card above is my first entry.  I hope you like the card that I made and got inspired. Have a wonderful day!

Digi Weekend Celebration at JLO Stamps

Are you aware of how amazing digi stamps are? This is the weekend for you to find out. Digis are quick, resizable and take up no space in your craft room. You can print as many images as you want to add to your handmade cards, scrapbooks, project life, pocket letters, etc.

For this weekend only, all digital stamps at JessicaLynnOriginal.com are on sale for $1.00. If you have wanted to try digis, this is the perfect time to do it. Please follow along the hop to see some of the amazing work our design team has put together to show you how versatile these stamps truly are.

If you’ve come from Jeanette’s Blog, you’re in the right place!

The first two cards you see are made for a new baby boy and a baby girl.  I have used the baby giraffe digi stamp to create these two simple cards.

The second card is one of my favorite digi stamps from JLO. It’s Brentwood as Mad Hatter. Of course I had to create an Alice In Wonderland themed card. I spent quite a few hours die-cutting the pieces to create a cute scene for this card. I know this is a bit much for some but I love spending a lot of time making my cards. To me, they’re little pieces of artwork!

Last but not the least, is my favorite out of all the cards I made today! It’s a Halloween-themed card and yes, it’s a fun shaker card. I used Brentwood Owl and dressed him/her as a warlock/witch. I dry-embossed the “moon” and included die-cut bats, orange sequins and seed beads for my shaker element. I love making shaker cards. Do you like this one too?
