French Maid Minion Card – A Blooms and Butterflies Color Challenge No. 22

The Blooms & Butterflies Team was given a task to create a card using the colors Basic Black, Smoky Slate, Basic Gray and Daffodil Delight. It is indeed very challenging. I have made a Minion Card before and it is my most pinned creation on Pinterest. I thought the color combination will be perfect to create a French Maid Minion Card. So here it is.  I have made some adjustments to the card.  I noticed on the photo that the glue dots were showing a little bit so I managed to tuck it in, and also fixed the Minion’s hair so it doesn’t show.

Blooms and Butterflies Color Challenge No. 17

Blooms and Butterflies Color Challenge No. 17

I was so excited to join this challenge because I basically had all the card stock that was required. I must admit, however, that this challenge was quite difficult for me because my least favorite color of all time is bright yellow. I decided to use Daffodil Delight as my card base. I had the whole week trying here and there to come up with a good design and it wasn’t easy. So this is what I finally put together. I hope you like the card.

Blooms & Butterflies Color Challenge No. 15

BB Challenge No. 15BB15

I had so much fun making this card.  This is my very first participation for the Blooms and Butterflies Color Challenge – and this is Color Challenge No. 15.

I am a new Stampin Up Independent Demonstrator and still trying to increase my collection of Stampin Up products – from card stock, to DSPs, punches and stamp sets.  Since I didn’t have any Wild Wasabi card stock, I had to replace it with Gumball Green.  I apologize if this is quite a disappointment to some of you.  Please know that I live overseas 10 months out of the year, and it is not very easy for me to get the supplies delivered to me overseas.  I either have to get it shipped here (which cost a fortune), or hoard my supplies every time I have the chance to go back home in Orlando.  Anyway, I hope you like the card.

The materials I used are as follows:

Card Base:

Wisteria Wonder – 4 1/4 X 5 1/2

Elegant Eggplant – 4 1/8 x 5 1/4

Replaced the Wild Wasabi with Gumball Green – 4 x 5 1/8

Stamps Used:

Mixed Bunch – Stamped on Elegant Eggplant and Wisteria Wonder

Happy Day – Heat Embossed using Stampin’ Up!’s Silver Embossing Powder

Punches Used:

Punch Blossom

1 inch Circle Punch

Extra Large and Large Oval Punches to create the Bow (I cut the ovals in half and adhered it to the base)

Other Supplies Used:

Basic Pearl to accent the Bow

Stampin Dimensionals

Tombo Glue

Black Staz On

Versamark Ink
