Cas-ual Fridays March Release Day 4 – Swirls Stencil

Hello Cas-ual Fridays fans!  It’s the last day of the March release and the design team is showcasing the Swirls Stencil.

To make my card, I used a clouds stencil from my collection to ink up some Bristol Smooth white card stock using Worn Lipstick,  Mustard Seed and Speckled Egg distress oxide inks.  I stamped my image from the Somebunny Stamp set and used my precision snips to fussy-cut the image.    I used glossy accents for added texture to the balloon.  I set this aside to dry for about half an hour.

Using the new Swirls Stencil and some Black Soot Distress Ink, I used my ink blending tool to add the black dots to frame my image.  I LOVE this new stencil so much because it is so versatile and can be used in so many different ways to add details to your paper crafting projects.

Next, I adhered the image on the colored panel with liquid glue.

I finished my card design by stamping the sentiment with some Versafine Onyx black ink.  Here’s another look:

I hope you all enjoyed the new release and got inspired by the entire design team.  CAS-ual Fridays is giving away a prize bundle.  Don’t forget to leave a comment on the CAS-ual Fridays release blog post.   Winner will be announced on Saturday, March 13, 2021.

Uplifting Slimline Card with Cas-ual Friday Stamps & Sale Info

Hello crafty friends! Before I show you my card, I just want to let you know that CAS-ual Fridays is making room for upcoming release and they have a sale until September 7th.  The stamps, dies and stencils are already reduced but you can still use my coupon code below (code at the end of the post), for an additional 15% discount.  Hurry up and get some of those goodies before they sell out!

For my project today, I am featuring one of the stamp set that is currently on sale, called “Floating“.  The bunny came from the Somebunny stamp set.

I started by inking up my slimline panel using a clouds stencil and some distressed oxide ink.  I also die-cut the trees, grass hill and the clouds using a die from my collection.

I stamped and colored my images in with alcohol markers.  Since the floating stamp set did not come with a coordinating die, I used my precision snips to fussy-cut the image.

I adhered my colored panel on a slimline white card base.  I adhered the trees, grass hill and clouds with some glue.  I also adhered my focal images using my tape runner.  I thought about using foam adhesive but I didn’t think it needed more dimension.

To finish my design, I stamped the sentiment with Versafine Onyx black ink.  Here’s another look:

Clean & Simple Cards with SomeBunny – CAS-ual Fridays Stamps

Hello everyone!  Maria here with you today and I am super excited to share my very first post as a member of the CAS-ual Fridays Ink Squad.  It is definitely a dream come true for me!  I have always admired the talented girls on the Ink Squad and when I received the good news that I made it on the team, I was happy and terrified at the same time!  I hope I will be able to inspire you in this amazing journey and get creative with me.

For today’s project, I am showcasing the SomeBunny stamp set with the Bunny Fri-Dies, and the Best Day Fri-Dies.

I started out by die-cutting the two bunnies on some Neenah Solar White Card Stock.  I placed the die-cuts back on the negative piece and lined-up my images, and held it in place with low-tack tape.   I used my stamping tool to stamp the images using Memento Tuxedo black ink.  I colored the images in with my Copic markers.

For my first project, I wanted to make a birthday card using the adorable Bunny holding a balloon.  I cut another piece of some white card stock and stamped the little stars using some light gray ink.  I wanted the stars on my background to look like watermark so that these images wouldn’t overwhelm the whole card design.  I also die-cut the “Best Day Ever” using the dies and adhered these pieces onto my card panel with my Nuvo Liquid adhesive.

To finish my design, I adhered my little bunny with some foam tape, and added Glossy Accents to the balloon.  Here is my first card:

I love the simplicity of this birthday card.  Here’s another look:

I really love the white-on-white background and the glossy accents on the balloon just gave it a little something extra!

For my second card, I did the same technique by stamping the little stars on my card panel with the same light gray ink.  I die-cut another piece of some white card stock to create the frame for my cute little bunny.  I stamped the sentiment onto the frame, and adhered this piece on my background panel with some foam adhesive.

To finish my design, I stamped 3 little stars next to the bunny with some light blue ink and added Stardust Stickles to the moon.  Here is my second card:

I am in-love with this stamp set.

The stardust stickles added a little touch of whimsy to the design.

I hope I have given you some inspiration today to create some clean and simple cards.  Please don’t forget to use my coupon code below for 15% off your order at the shop.  Isn’t this the best day ever?

Thanks for stopping by and happy crafting!
