For Day 4, we are showcasing the Snowflake Oval Stamp Set that coordinates with the Oval Frames Die Set.

I started by prepping the pink card stock with the anti-static powder tool. I stamped the image with Versamark ink and sprinkled some gold embossing powder, then heat-set with the heating tool.

I stamped the sentiment also with Versamark ink and used the same gold embossing powder.

Next, I die-cut the focal panel using the Oval Frames Die Set and foam-mounted on a gold oval frames notecard for added dimension. This card is really simple but I love how it turned out.

NND August Release Day 4 – Harvest Haul + Newton’s Crate + Giveaway

I am a bit bummed because it’s the last day of the August reveals by Newton’s Nook Designs! Were you able to hop along with us for the first three days? Which one is your favorite so far? Remember that you have a chance to win the stamp set being revealed each day so please read through til the end of the blog post to find out more info.  [Just a little important note:  I know some of you had difficulties finding the comments section.  If you would like to leave a comment to participate in the giveaway, the “comments section” will only be ever visible when a single post on Word Press is being viewed. Please click on this particular blog post and you will be able to leave a comment below.  Thank you!]

For the final day of the reveals, we are showcasing the Harvest Haul Stamp Set + coordinating dies along with the Newton’s Crate Stamp Set + coordinating dies.

For my first project, I started by masking some Bristol smooth white card stock with masking tape and ink-blending this panel using the Sunscape Stencil and some distress oxide inks. I cut this panel and adhered on some Neenah solar white card stock with liquid glue.

I added some texture to the foreground by using some embossing folder and partially embossed the same on the die-cutting machine, then adhering it to a top folding notecard.

I finished the card design by stamping the sentiment on the banner that was die-cut from the Frames & Flags Die Set and heat-set with the heating tool. Here’s another look:

The next project is so cute and I love how this turned out. I started by temporarily taping the Jack-O-Lantern stencil no. 1 on some Neenah solar white panel. I used some orange ink and a blending brush to add the pumpkins.

I did the same to add the pumpkin stems detail by taping Jack-O-Lantern stencil no. 2 to the panel and used some lime green dye ink with another blending brush. I removed the stencil and cut this panel and adhered on some pattern paper from the Autumn Paper Pad with liquid glue.

I needed to ground the pumpkin images from the pattern paper so I adhered two orange strips on both sides, and added the scallop vellum that was die-cut using the Oval Frames Die. The vellum somehow toned down the busy patterns of the background, don’t you think?!

I stamped the images on some Neenah solar white card stock and die-cut using the coordinating die. I colored the images with some alcohol markers and foam-mounted to the card-front for added dimension. I stamped the sentiment on the image with some black ink.

Lastly, I added the orange bow to the card to finish my design. In case you’re wondering, the bow is from the Baby Bib Die Set. Here’s another look at the card:

Would you like to win the “Harvest Haul” or the “Newton’s Crate” Stamp Set? We will choose ONE lucky winner for each stamp set!

NND August Release Day 3 – Autumn Oval + Autumn Paper Pad + Giveaway

It’s Day 3 of the August release by Newton’s Nook Designs! Are you enjoying the reveals so far? For Day 3, we are showcasing the Autumn Oval Stamp Set that coordinates perfectly with the previously-released Oval Frames Die Set with the BEAUTIFUL Autumn Paper Pad.

The background was created by die-cutting the Autumn Paper with a rectangle die from my collection. I adhered this panel on some A2-size, top-folding notecard.

The focal image was stamped on some Neenah solar white card stock and die-cut using the Oval Frames Die Set. I fussy-cut around the images using precision snips for added texture and interest.

Alcohol markers were used to color the pumpkins, leaves and berries, including the detailed oval on the side to ground the images [Designer tip: this somehow made the images pop against the yellow background].

I finished the card design by adding the sentiment that was heat-set with heating tool and die-cut using the smallest die from the Oval Frames Die Set.

Would you like to win the “Autumn Oval” Stamp Set? This stamp set will be given away to ONE lucky winner!

For Day 2 of the reveals, we are showcasing the Halloween Pile Stamp Set + coordinating dies along with the Spiderweb Oval Stamp Set that goes along with the previously released Oval Frames Die Set.

For my first project, I started by die-cutting the pattern paper from the Halloween Meows Paper Pad and adhered the same on some A2-size, top-folding notecard. I stamped the images on some Neenah solar white card stock and colored them in with alcohol markers. I used the coordinating die to cut the image out.

The background was made by by doing the following steps –> (1) cover some Bristol smooth white card stock with some circle masking paper; (2) ink-blend this panel with some distress oxide ink; (3) use some distress sprayer to spray some water and pick up the excess with some paper towel; (4) remove the masking paper and use the same foam-blending tool to add some interest and texture to the moon; (5) remove the masking paper and adhere the ink-blended background to the card with foam-adhesive for more dimension.

Die-cut the grass panel using the Land Border Die on some black card stock and adhere to the foreground with liquid glue. Adhere the focal image on the card. Stamp the bats with some black ink.

Finish the card design by stamping the sentiment on the grass with Versamark ink. Sprinkle some white embossing powder and heat-set with the heating tool. Here’s another look:

Happy Birthday Card with Newton’s Nook Designs

Hello my crafty friends! I hope you are all having a wonderful week! I am sharing another simple birthday card with you today, showcasing products from the July Birthday Release by Newton’s Nook Designs.

For this project, I am showcasing the Birthday Oval Stamp Set that coordinates with the (previously released) Oval Frames Die Set, along with the Birthday Party Paper Pad. I love that Newton’s Nook Designs came out with different oval stamp set that coordinates with the Oval Frames Die Set. I wish more companies would do this as it is a great way to save.

Here’s how I made this card:

  • die-cut the images using the Oval Frames Die Set
  • die-cut the background panel using a rectangle die from your collection
  • adhere this panel on some A2-size notecard.
  • foam-mount the focal image on the card for added dimension.
  • stamp the sentiment on some black card stock with Versamark ink and die-cut using the small oval from the Oval Frames Die Set
  • adhere the sentiment on the card panel with foam adhesive
  • finish the card design by using some white gel pen to add interest to the balloons.

For Day 2 of the reveals, we are showcasing the Flamingo Oval Stamp Set that goes perfectly with the previously released Oval Fames Die Set that I also paired with the Tropical Leaves Stencil.

The background panel was die-cut using scallop die from the Frames & Flags Die Set. I used the Tropical Leaves Stencil and some texture paste for added interest and texture. Once the panel was dry, I adhered it onto some white A2-size notecard.

I stamped the Flamingo Oval image on some X-Press It Blending Card and colored the images in with alcohol markers. I used the Oval Fames Die Set to cut the oval and also used precision snips to cut out the middle of the images. I foam-mounted this onto the card for added dimension.

The sentiment was stamped on white card stock and coloring the word “THANKS” with some yellow markers. I added this onto some black card stock and adhered on the card with foam-adhesive. For today’s sneak peek, we are showcasing the Dad’s BBQ Stamp Set + coordinating dies.

I have to admit that I struggle when it comes to creating masculine cards so I hope you like my card below.

I started by masking off a panel of Bristol Smooth White Card Stock and inking up the background with some Distress Oxide Inks and the Cascading Stars stencil.

Next, I stamped the images on some Neenah Solar White Card Stock and colored the images in with alcohol markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut them all out. I also cut a few strips of black card stock and some pattern paper and adhered on the panel with liquid glue.

I foam-mounted the images on the focal panel for added dimension. I also die-cut the word “DAD” using the Essential Alphabet Die Set and ink-blended the letters to match the background. I adhered the letters on the card with liquid glue.

I finished the design by adding the sentiment that I heat-embossed and using some white gel pen to add some dots and stars for added interest. Here’s another look:

NND APRIL Release Day 2 – Destination Love + Lilac Stamp Sets

It’s Day 2 of the April reveals by Newton’s Nook Designs! I hope you were able to check out yesterday’s reveal as well. You have a chance to win the stamp set being revealed each day so please read through til the end of the blog post to find out more info.  [Just a little important note:  I know some of you had difficulties finding the comments section.  If you would like to leave a comment to participate in the giveaway, the “comments section” will only be ever visible when a single post on Word Press is being viewed. For today’s sneak peek, we are showcasing the Destination Love + coordinating dies with the Lilac Stamp Set + coordinating dies.

As soon as I saw the Destination Love stamp set, I immediately thought of this card design. I just didn’t know what colors would work well together so I tested a few markers and colored a few images. The one I picked stood out the most and I used the coordinating dies to die-cut the images.

Next, I used the Oval Frame Die set to die-cut the oval frame on some white card stock. The oval die-cut was ink-blended with distress oxide inks and the Sunscape stencil. The negative die-cut was dry-embossed with an embossing folder for added interest.

I foam-mounted the images on the focal panel and finished the card design by adding the sentiment that I heat-embossed on some black card stock.

The next card is really simple. I stamped the images a few times on some A2-size panel and colored the images in with alcohol markers.

For added interest and texture, I stamped the dots a few times from the Tranquil Tides stamp set. I thought this added a whimsical touch to the overall card design.

I finished the design by stamping the sentiment from the Birthday Essentials stamp set. Here’s another look at the card:

Would you like to win the “Destination Love” or the “Lilac” Stamp Set? We will choose ONE lucky winner for each stamp set!

Here’s how to win:  Comment on the NND blog and Design Team blogs (see list below)! The winner will be chosen at random from the collective reveal posts.
