LDRS Creative Summer 2020 Release

Hello my crafty friends!  The new SUMMER COLLECTION by LDRS Creative is now available at the shop and we are celebrating it with a bang giving you a discount code “SRJ10” for 10% off at the shop (valid until midnight, eastern time of June 26).

I couldn’t even pace myself when I saw this release and I honestly cannot even pick a favorite.  For my card today, I am showcasing the Country Kitchen stamp set.

I am not a one-layer card kind of girl but this stamp set is so amazing, it doesn’t even need anything else.

To begin, I stamped the images with Raven Hybrid ink and colored the images in with my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.

I used my Copic black multi-liner and t-ruler to draw the floorboards, coloring it after with some light gray alcohol markers to create dimension between the kitchen wall and floors.  I used my white gel pen and drew some lines to the kitchen cabinets for added texture and details to make it look like glass.

I finished my design by stamping the sentiment using Kiss Me Red Hybrid Ink.

I hope I have given you some inspiration with the Country Kitchen stamp set.  I have listed and linked all the stamps, dies and stencils available at the LDRS Creative if you’re interested.  Order now and avail the discount.  Thanks for stopping by and happy stamping!

Only Santa Knows…. (If I’ve been Naughty or Nice)

Hello everyone!  Maria here with you today.  Just a quick heads up, the sale is still going strong so head on over to the shop before everything gets sold out.

I know it’s a little too early to even think about Christmas! I want to send mine early this year so I have started creating them already.  For my project today, I am showcasing the Little Huggables stamp set with the Naughty-isms stamp set.

To begin, I started by using a “make a wreath” stencil from my stash and stamped the little present images on Neenah solar white card stock.  I also stamped the snowflake with some light blue ink, and my bunny from the Little Huggables stamp set.

I colored my images in with my Spectrum Noir TriBlend markers.

I adhered my colored panel to a red patterned paper and glued this piece on to an A2 size card base.

Lastly, I stamped the sentiment with Versafine Onyx black ink and stamped the paw print with Lobster red ink.  Here’s my card:

This card is really simple and can be mass-produced.  Here’s a little close-up:

I hope you like my Christmas card today.  Please visit CAS-ual Fridays Stamps  to purchase the stamps that I featured today.  Don’t forget to use my coupon code “MARIASENTME” for 15% off your order.  Happy stamping!

For my projects, I chose a very simple (one-layer) fun-stamped background.  For the first card, I am showcasing Sentiments of the Season, Stylish Stockings, Special Delivery, Festive Flamingos, Santa Paws Newton and Newton’s Candy Cane stamp set. I wanted to show off these sets by combining them all to add a fun background and create a focal point in the middle of the card. I don’t normally make one-layer cards but I had so much fun creating these.

I used an oval mask using my masking paper by Inkadinkado and applied it onto the center of my card stock. I then stamped my images on Neenah solar white with my memento tuxedo black ink and colored them in with my Copic markers.

To finish my design, I added some pink dots with my Worn Lipstick distress oxide and blending pen and also used my Copic multi-liner 0.5 black pen to add the black dots to fill up the space.  I also added some glossy accents to the peppermint candies and the Christmas ornament to make them pop.  Here’s the first card:

It Would Stink If We Weren’t Friends

Hello and Happy 2017 everyone! This is my first design team post for the year for Kat Scrappiness and today I am sharing a card, showcasing the Little Stinker stamp set by Neat & Tangled, the Stitched-Rope Nested Rectangle dies and a bunch of other supplies available at the shop.

I apologize if I will not have a process video for you today because I still didn’t get my voice back. I currently have bronchitis and laryngitis, and I am still trying to get rid of this flu. It has been a few weeks now and it is starting to bum me out. Anyway, I have taken some step-by-step photos of my project so I will try and walk you through it.

I started out by stamping the image on Inkadinkado Masking Paper, and fuzzy-cut it with my honeybee scissors. Since this is a one-layer card, I will be using my mask to cover the image.

I die-cut my card panel using the stitched rope nested die on Neenah solar white card stock. I then used my mask to cover the Little Stinker image so I can distress the background with my distress inks. I also cut a mask for my grass hill with the masking paper. I used Spun Sugar and Evergreen bough to distress my background. Once I was satisfied with the color combination, I used my paintbrush to splatter some water on my card panel. Distress ink reacts on water and it really gives a cool effect.

I peeled the mask that was covering the skunk, and started coloring the image with my Copic markers. I used T0, T2 and T4 for my skunk. I also used R00 for the cheeks and the little sign that was being held by the little skunk. I stamped the sentiment on the sign using my Memento Tuxedo black ink.

Since this is a Valentine’s Day card, I felt that I needed to add some hearts. I had an older stamp set from my stash with splattered hearts images and I thought this would be perfect for my card. I used the same mask to cover my skunk again, and stamped the front panel of the card with the heart stamp. It turned out really beautiful!

To finish off the design of the card, and with the help of my favorite tool, the Crystal Katana, I  adhered a tiny red heart on the sign, and covered the heart with glossy accents. I love how the card turned out! I hope you love it too and got inspired today.
