NND October Release Day 1 – Destination Christmas & Christmas Camper

Please click on this particular blog post and you will be able to leave a commentbelow.  Thank you!]

For the first day of the reveals we are starting with the Destination Christmas and coordinating dies with the Christmas Campers and coordinating dies.  We also have two new stencils called the Tiny Trees & Reindeer stencils.

To make my first project, I started by die-cutting the snow globe tags using the Snow Globe Shaker die set with some white card stock and acetate sheets.  I added foam adhesive to create my shaker well, then added the stars confetti as my shaker element.  I also adhered the words “merry” on each tag.

Next, I stamped my images on some Neenah solar white card stock and colored my images in with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.  I used the coordinating dies to die-cut the images.   I wanted to make the cards git in each shaker so I decided to use my precision snips to fussy-cut the images.  I adhered them onto the tags with my ATG gun.

I finished my design my adding some glossy accents to the cars to make them look like glass.  Here’s another look:

My next project is just super simple.  I colored the images with my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and fussy-cut them using my precision snips.

The background is just one of my favorite patterned paper adhered on an A-2 size card base.  I thought the patterned paper would be perfect to use for my scene.  I stamped the flying sleigh with the reindeer from the Snow Globe Scenes stamp set.  I also added the small reindeer from the same set.

I adhered the colored images with liquid glue.  I wanted to add more trees to the background, so I stamped the pine trees behind the images using the Winter Memories stamp set.  I know you can’t really tell that it wasn’t part of the patterned paper because I used the same color of ink.  Here’s another look:

Would you like to win the “Destination Christmas”  Stamp Set or the “Christmas Campers”  Stamp Set? We will choose ONE lucky winner for each stamp set!

Savor Life’s Small Moments with Newton’s Nook

Hello my crafty friends!  I’m back today with Newton’s Nook with an Autumn-themed card, showcasing the Autumn Mice stamp set & coordinating dies.

To begin, I stamped my images on some Neenah solar white card stock.  I colored the images in with my alcohol markers and used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

The background sky was created by inking up a panel of Bristol smooth white card stock with the Clouds stencil and Peacock Feathers distress oxide ink.   Next, I adhered some gray patterned paper on Neenah solar white and used an oval die from my collection to cut the window.  I foam-mounted this on the colored panel to create some dimension.

I used the same oval die to die-cut some green card stock, then used the Land Border Die Set to die-cut the grass.  I adhered this onto the foreground with liquid glue.  I also adhered my focal image with more leaves to create my scene.

I finished my design by adding the sentiment created using the smallest die from the Framework die set.  Here’s another look:

Stay tuned next week for the October release by Newton’s Nook.  It is going to be epic!

I hope you like my card today.  The supplies I use are listed and linked below.  Thanks for stopping by!

Shades of Autumn with Newton’s Nook Designs

Hello my crafty friends! It is officially fall and I am celebrating by sharing this card with you today, showcasing the Shades of Autumn stamp, along with the Fall-ing For You stamp set.   This card was inspired by Angelica Conrad from The Greetery.  The color combination that she used in her card was stunning and I knew I just had to try it.

To begin, I stamped the sentiment from the Fall-Ing For You stamp set with Spectrum Noir Finesse Alcohol-Proof Ink in Rustic Brown on an A2-size card panel.  Next, I stamped the leaves randomly with Worn Lipstick and Aged Mahogany, Scattered Straw and Fossilized Amber, with Crushed Olive and Forest Moss.  I used my mini sponge daubers to intensify the colors and create deeper shadows.

I pressed my Aged Mahogany ink pad onto an acrylic block and added some water, then used my watercolor brush to mix it well and flicked it onto my card panel for added texture.

To finish my design, I adhered the Gold Rhinestone jewels with liquid glue for added dimension.  This card is very simple and can be easily mass-produced.  Here’s another look:

I hope you like my card today.  The supplies I use are listed and linked below.  Thank you so much for stopping by and happy fall season everyone!

For day 4, we are showcasing the Knight Owl and Pug-kin Stamp Sets with the coordinating dies.

To make my first card, I cut an A2 size panel of some Neenah solar white card stock and used the circle dies from the Circle Frames die set to cut the three windows.   I used my pencil to draw the circles on another A2 size panel of Bristol smooth white card stock.  I inked up the circles with some distress oxide inks and erased my pencil lines using a pencil eraser.

The Neenah white panel was foam-mounted on the colored background for added dimension.   I stamped my focal image and color it in with my alcohol markers.  I adhered this onto the card with liquid glue.

My scene was created by adding the grass panel die-cut from the same circle dies I used earlier and the Land borders die.  I adhered this onto the card with glue.

The bats and “TRICK OR TREAT” were die-cut using the dies from the Halloween Trio die set.   I adhered them onto the card with some liquid glue.

To finish my design, I used my white gel pen to draw some dots to the sky to make them look like stars.  Here’s another look:

For my second card, I die-cut the circle from the Circle Frames die set on some Bristol smooth white card stock.  I ink-blended this piece with some distress oxide inks.   I used the same circle die and the Land Border die to die-cut the grass.

The background was created by using the Spiderweb stencil and some light gray dye ink.  I cut this panel to 4 1/4 by 5 1/4 and adhered on an A2 size panel, that was colored with the Houndstooth stencil.   I die-cut some black strip and adhered onto the card with liquid glue.  I also die-cut some black party streamers  using a die from my collection and the bats using the Halloween Trio die set.

I stamped the image and used alcohol markers to color it in.  I used the coordinating die to die-cut the image and adhered on the circle.  I foam-mounted this piece on my card for added dimension.  Here’s another lookK

To make my first card, I cut an A2 size panel of some Bristol smooth white card stock.  I used some painter’s tape to mask off a portion of the card panel.  I used distress oxide inks and foam-blending tools to ink up the background.  I sprayed some water on this panel and picked up the excess with my paper towel.  I adhered this on an A2 size white card base.  I cut two strips of black and white patterned paper and adhered them onto the card.

I stamped the images on some Neenah solar white card stock and colored them in with my Spectrum Noir Tri-Blend markers.  I die-cut the images using the coordinating dies.

I die-cut the “table cloth” using a die from my collection and adhered on the card with liquid glue.  I foam-mounted the focal image for added dimension and adhered the rest of the pumpkins and leaves.

Lastly, I used my white gel pen to draw some lines and dots for added texture.  Here’s another look:

For the first day of the reveals we are starting with the Sips & Stories stamp set and coordinating dies, with the Mugs and Houndstooth Stencils.

To make my cards, I started by stamping my images on some Neenah solar white card stock and colored my images in with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.  I used the coordinating dies to die-cut the images.

On another piece of Neenah solar white, I temporarily adhered the Mugs stencil with some purple tape.  I used my palette knife to take some texture paste out of the jar. I put a few drops of carved pumpkin distress oxide inks to add a little bit of color, and applied it all over the stencil using my Stencil Pal.  I set this aside to dry for about half an hour.

I die-cut the two tags with the Fancy Edges Tag die set.  I added some color to the white tag with some distress oxide ink and used the Starfield Stencil for more texture to the background.   I foam-mounted my colored image to the tags and adhered them on the card.

To finish my design I added the white bow from the Pines & Holly die set.  Here’s another look:

Since I colored a lot of images, I decided to make another card.  I cut a slimline panel of some Bristol smooth white card stock measuring 3 1/2 by 8 1/2 using the Slimline Frames & portholes die set.  I used some painter’s tape to mask the sides and inked up this panel with some distress oxide inks.  I sprayed some water for added texture and picked up the excess with some paper towel.

The black frame was die-cut using the Slimline Frames & Windows die set and foam mounted to the colored panel for added dimension.  I adhered the colored images with my tape runner.

The die-cut the banner using one of the dies in the Slimline Frames & Windows die set and stamped my sentiment using Versamark ink.  I sprinkled some white embossing powder to this and heat-set with my Wagner Heating tool.  I adhered this piece on the card with my tape runner.

To finish my design, I added the black bow from the Baby Bib die set with some gray enamel dot for added texture.

Would you like to win the “Sips & Stories” Stamp Set? This stamp set will be given away to ONE lucky winner!

Summer Cards with Newton’s Nook Designs

Hello everyone!   Are you all enjoying your summer?  I am going stir crazy because it is so HOT where I live and with the current “situation” all over the world, the only way I can enjoy the beach and see sea creatures is making a card!  I am back today for Newton’s Nook Designs with some summer-themed cards, showcasing the Tranquil Tides stamp set and dies along with the land borders die and Circle Frames Die set.

To create this first card, I stamped the images using my Spectrum Noir Harmony Quick Dry Dye inks.  I used the coordinating die to die-cut the images.

I randomly stamped more images on an A2 size card panel to fill in the spaces.

I used the hill from the Land Border die set to die-cut two wavy panels and adhered them onto the card with foam adhesive for added dimension.  I added the rest of the images on the card with either foam or liquid adhesive.

Lastly, I stamped my sentiment on the card with Versafine Onyx black ink and adhered the Sparkling Clear Droplets for added texture.  Don’t they look like bubbles? Here’s another look at the card:

For my second card below, I went for a simple nautical design.  I stamped the images using the same Spectrum Noir Harmony Quick Dry Dye inks.

I used the smallest circle from the Circle Frames Die Set to die-cut the stamped image and foam mounted this piece on the card.  I stamped the sentiment a few times with Versafine Onyx black ink to make it stand out a little and give it more texture.

I finished my design by adding two black strips and using my black gel pen, I dotted them on each crab’s eyes.  I adhered this panel on an A2 size card base.

I hope you like my cards today and got inspired.  The supplies I use are listed and linked below.

Newton’s Nook June Release Day 4 – Porch Swing and Roses Stamp Sets

I always get a bit bummed when it’s the last day of the reveals by Newton’s Nook Designs.  Have you seen the last three days?  The design team totally rocked it!  You also have a chance to win the stamp set being revealed each day so please read through til the end of the blog post to find out more info.  [Just a little important note:  I know some of you had difficulties finding the comments section.  If you would like to leave a comment to participate in the giveaway, the “comments section” will only be ever visible when a single post on Word Press is being viewed. For day 4, we are showcasing the Porch Swing stamp set and Roses stamp set with the coordinating dies.

To make my first card, I started by stamping my images on some Neenah solar white card stock.  I colored my images in with my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.  Since I didn’t have the dies, I used my precision snips to fussy-cut the images.

I ink-blended a panel of Bristol smooth white card stock using some dye inks from my collection and the Serene Stripes stencil (this stencil is one of my favorites!).  I adhered this piece on an A2 size card base.

The floor and the baseboards were die-cut using a die from my collection and adhered to the card with some liquid glue.  I die-cut the white rectangle frame and foam-mounted this onto the card.  I added the focal image for with some foam adhesive for more dimension.

To finish my card design, I stamped the sentiment on some black card stock and adhered with some foam adhesive.  Lastly, I added the potted cactus from the Cultivated Cacti stamp set.  Here’s another look:

I made my second card extremely simple so this can easily be mass-produced.  I prepped my Neenah solar white card stock with my powder tool to keep my embossing powder from spreading everywhere.  I stamped the image with some Versamark ink a few times.  I sprinkled some white embossing powder and heat-set with my heating tool.  I used some mini ink daubers and hybrid inks to color my flowers.  Sometimes, keeping the card clean & simple creates a huge impact in the overall design!

I die-cut the “thank you” using a die from my collection with some black card stock and vellum, adhering them onto the card with liquid glue.  Here’s a closer look at the beautiful flowers!

I finished my card design by adding some white enamel dots all over the card panel.
