Mother’s Day Bouquet with Crafty Meraki

Hello, Crafty Meraki fans!  It’s the weekend and time for some crafty inspiration from the latest release!  For today’s card, I am showcasing the Scarlett Meraki Flora Para-Dies, along with the Craft-A-Round Meraki Para-Dies and Always in My Heart Stamp Set.

I started by die-cutting the roses on some Strathmore Bristol Smooth White Card Stock using the Scarlett Meraki Flora Para-Dies.  I used some mini sponge daubers to add color to the die-cuts with Distress Oxide inks in Abandoned Coral, Saltwater Taffy, Scattered Straw, Mowed Lawn Rustic Wilderness.  The stencil mat is the perfect tool to use while ink-blending the die-cuts.

Next, I die-cut the background using the Craft-A-Round Meraki Para-Dies on some Neenah Solar White Card Stock.  I adhered this panel on some A2-size notecard with liquid glue.  I added the roses on the card with liquid glue and foam adhesive for dimension.  A bow was also added for interest and finished the design by adhering the word “mom” that I heat-embossed on black card stock.  Here’s another look:

I hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration.  Below, you will find links to the supplies used to create this project(s). Where available, I use compensated affiliate links at no extra cost to you. Mother’s Day Card with LDRS Creative

Hello LDRS Creative fans! I have a simple slimline card to share with you today, just in time for the upcoming Mother’s Day (or just-because), showcasing the Magnolia Stamp Set and Coordinating Dies with the Chloe Alpha Lowercase Die SetFloral Foliage Slimline Die Set.

I started by stamping the images on some Neenah Solar White card stock using Raven Hybrid Ink, and die-cut the images with the Magnolia Coordinating Dies.  I colored them in with alcohol markers. To create the background, I die-cut the Floral Foliage Slim Line Dies on some Neenah Solar white card stock and foam-mounted this on some beige slimline card base.  I wanted the white die-cut to stand out against the beige background.  I also foam-mounted the Magnolia flowers on the card for added dimension.

The last thing to do is to add the sentiment.  The new Chloe Alpha Lowercase Die set is so beautiful and perfect for the soft look I was going for on this card.  I die-cut the word “mom” on some Neenah solar white card stock and just to give it a little more interest, I used the Soft Kisses Hybrid Ink with a blending brush to color half of the letters.  This gave it an ombre effect.  I foam-mounted the die-cuts on the card for added dimension, giving it more of a unified look!

You really need to check out the new release! I absolutely LOVE all the new stamps, dies and stencils at the shop.  I’ve listed and linked them below if you’d like to purchase them.  Thanks for stopping by today and Happy Mother’s Day this Sunday, to all the moms out there!

World’s Best Mom Card with Newton’s Nook

Hello Newton’s Nook fans!  I hope everyone is doing well.  I am back today to share with you this cute Mother’s Day card (or just-because you love your mom), showcasing a lot of stamp sets from Newton’s Nook Designs.  I’m featuring the Love Owl-ways, What A Hoot, Newton’s Birdhouse and Simply Relative stamp sets with the Essential Alphabet dies.  I love mixing and matching different images from my stamp set collection and stretch out my supplies.  These stamp sets were not meant for Mother’s Day but with a little imagination, you can certainly achieve it!

To begin, I stamped and colored my images on some Neenah solar white card stock.  I fussy-cut the images with my precision snips.

I created the clouds by using the Clouds stencil and some dye inks with my blending brush.  I also used the Hills and Grass stencil to add the grass on this panel.

I die-cut the word “MOM” using the Essential Alphabet dies and adhered them on the card with some liquid glue.   I adhered the rest of the images on the card and foam-mounted the owls to give them more dimension.

I used glossy accents to add some texture and dimension to the owl’s beaks.   Here’s a closer look:

Lastly, I stamped the sentiment “WORLD’S BEST” with my Spectrum Noir Finesse ink in rich cocoa.

I hope you like my card today and got inspired.  The supplies are listed and linked below.  Have an amazing day and happy stamping!

I absolutely LOVE this set.  You can use this for any occasion, especially for Mother’s Day (and let’s not forget our beloved Grandmas or beautiful daughters)!  I love the script fonts that Jennifer had added to the set as well.  This Lovely Blooms stamp set and coordinating dies will be available for purchase on Friday, April 14, at 8:00 a.m. CST.

I wanted to try out my new Distress Oxide Inks and so I started out by distressing my Neenah solar white card stock, combining the Worn Lipstick and Spiced Marmalade Oxide inks.   I LOVE THIS COLOR COMBO!  The inks were so creamy it was so easy to achieve the color that I wanted for my flowers!  I also used the same technique for my leaves, combining Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide with the Pine Needs Distress Ink.  I then stamped my images with Versamark ink and used my white embossing powder to heat set it.

I also wanted a little shaker element for my card and immediately thought about creating a mason jar shaker.  I used my exact knife to cut out a little window, and adhered acetate to my card using my liquid glue.  I adhered the little branches on my mason jar and used foam tape around the edges to create my shaker panel.  For my shaker elements, I used seed beads from my stash.

I finished off the design of the card by dry-embossing my card panel, and adhering the flowers and mason jar with my Xyron Mega Tape runner and foam adhesives.  I used a banner die to stamp my sentiment for the card.  I also used my Spectrum Noir Glitter brush markers to add glitter to my flowers.   I know you can’t really see the glitter on the photo but in real life, they are beautiful!

This card is for my Mother:

Mother’s Day Card~Pretty Pink Posh

I am back from traveling and I couldn’t wait to start playing with my new Pretty Pink Posh stamp set. The images on this stamp set are extremely cute. As soon as I looked at this set, I knew I wanted to create a cute Mother’s Day card.

I first stamped the images using my mini-Misti stamping tool, then colored the images using my Copic markers. For the “mom” – I used R000, R00 and R01 for the body and YR07 for the beak and legs. For their bellies, I used Y11. The same goes with the tiny little chick in the middle of the trio. For the male chicks, I used BG000 and BG00, and for the rosy cheeks I used R20.

Using the coordinated dies, I run it through my die-cutting machine to cut out the images. To create the scene for my card, I used my Spellbinders Cherry Blossom die for the branch, and the little bow was using the Pretty Pink Posh Twine and Bows die.

The background paper is from Doodlebug, Sweet Cakes paper pad. To create the shaker card, I used Mama Elephant’s All Prettied Up die set. This die-set is one of my favorites in creating shakers. The scallop and stitched details are so dainty it is perfect for a feminine card.

For my shaker material, I used Pretty Pink Posh sparkling clear 6 mm sequins, with 4mm blush and watermelon sequins and some dark pink star confetti. Here is a detailed list of what I’ve used.

Pop-Up Card

I have created this card for Mother’s Day. Unfortunately, I was not able to post it here on my Blog because my hubby and I traveled back home to Orlando to see our family, and move our daughter out of her dorm. It has been a busy month of May so far for me. I apologize for neglecting this Blog but I promise to post more regularly from now on.

This card is perfect not only for Mother’s Day but for any occasion. I hope that you will give it a try. I would love to hear from you if you did.

Happy Crafting!
