Two Cards Featuring Friends Like You with LDRS Creative

Hello LDRS fans!  Maria here with you today to share two “Just-Because” cards, showcasing the Friends Like You Stamp Set and Coordinating Dies, along with one of my favorite die called Pretty Patterns Slim LineIn the Grass Die Set with the Plaid Stencil and Rainy Day Stencil

My first card below is very simple.  I stamped the image on some Bristol smooth white card stock using Iced Tea Hybrid Ink and colored them in with watercolor.  I die-cut the image using the Friends Like You coordinating die set

Next, I colored the Neenah solar white card stock and using a blending brush and Marina Madness Hybrid Ink.  I added some texture and interest to the foreground by using the 6×6 Plaid Stencil, white texture paste and palette knife.  I set this aside to let it dry for about half an hour.

I cut the grass using the In the Grass Die Set and Daisy Delights 6×6 paper.  Also cut the gingham pattern strip from the Farmer’s Market 6×6 paper pad and adhered both pieces to the foreground.  The black and white strip was cut using the LDRS packaging.  I adhered the image with liquid glue and added this piece to an A2-size notecard.

I finished the design by stamping the sentiment using Watermark Ink on some black card stock.  I sprinkled some White Embossing Powder and heat-set with my heating tool.  Adhered this piece on the card with my ATG gun.   Here’s another look:

The images on the second card were stamped with Raven Hybrid Ink on some Neenah solar white card stock and die-cut using the Coordinating Dies.  I die-cut some Neenah solar white card stock and dark purple card stock using the Pretty Patterns Slim Line Die Set.

I added the grass and clouds by using the Rainy Day Stencil and hybrid inks in Dan-D-LionSoft Kisses, and Prickly Pear Perfection. I adhered the little critters on the foreground with liquid glue and added this piece on a lavender slimline card base.  I finished my design by stamping the sentiment with Raven Hybrid Ink.

I really love both cards today and I hope you like them too!  I’ve also listed and linked the supplies I use below.  Thanks for stopping today today and happy stamping!

Fall Card Featuring Build A-Tree Stamp Set by LDRS Creative

Hello my crafty friends!  It’s time to share another fun project featuring one of my favorite stamp set from the summer release by LDRS Creative called Build A Tree along with an older stamp called Happy Fall.  I absolutely LOVE that LDRS Creative makes it easy for us to mix and match stamp sets (or dies) to create a beautiful scene!

I started by stamping my images using the Raven Hybrid ink on some Neenah solar white card stock and colored them in with my alcohol markers.  I used the Build-A-tree coordinating dies to die-cut them out.  The Happy Fall stamp set did not come with coordinating dies so I used my precision snips to fussy-cut them.

The Background was created using the Rainy Day stencil and Marina Madness Hybrid ink.  The grass was die-cut using the In the Grass die set and the Country Lane Paper Pack, while the front grass layer was just die-cut using the same grass die, and colored with alcohol markers.  This gave it more texture and variation between the grass layers.

I adhered the first grass panel on the colored background with some liquid glue.  Next, I foam-mounted the large tree trunk and the second grass panel for added dimension.  I adhered the branches and the leaves, making sure to leave some space for my critters. I added foam adhesive to my focal image and adhered on the card.  The other images were added with some liquid glue.

To finish my design, I stamped the sentiment on some black card stock using the Watermark ink.  I added some white embossing powder and used my heating tool to heat-set the sentiment. I didn’t want to add more bulk to the card so I adhered this with some liquid glue.  Here’s another look:

Fall is my favorite season and I love creating fall cards.  LDRS Creative has so many cute stamp sets and it was so hard for me to pick and choose which one to feature today.  I really had so much fun creating this fall scene.  I hope you like it too.
