Ice-cream is my all-time favorite dessert and this is my inspiration for today’s project.  I am showcasing the Summer Scoops Stamp Set and Dies, along with the Slimline Frames & Portholes Die set , Slimline Frames & Windows Die set and the Banner Trio Die Set.  Some people celebrate with champagne, I celebrate with ice cream!

I started by stamping the images on some Neenah solar white card stock and colored the images in with my Spectrum Noir TriBlend markers.  I die-cut the images using the coordinating dies.

The background scallop was die-cut using the Slimline Frames & Portholes die set on some Neenah Solar White card stock.  I adhered this on some Blue slimline card base.  The yellow frame was die-cut using the Slimlines Frames & Windows die set and foam mounted onto the card for added dimension.

I adhered the colored images on the card with foam and liquid adhesive to make it look more cohesive.

I die-cut the sentiment strip using one of the dies from the Banner Trio die set and stamped the sentiment with Versamark ink.  I sprinkled some white embossing powder and heat-set with my Wagner heating tool.  I foam mounted this sentiment strip on my card.

To finish my design, I used my white gel pen and drew some lines and dots to the images for added texture.  Here’s another look:

Newton’s Nook Inky Paws 100th Challenge

Hello Newton’s Nook fans! I’m back today with a project celebrating Newton’s Nook Designs Inky Paws Challenge #100! The rules for this challenge are, pick any of your favorite challenge or challenges from the previous Color, Sketch or Theme challenges and play it again!

It was quite challenging for me to pick a favorite but the one I’ve always wanted to try is Challenge # 34 – Summer Theme.  I used one of my favorite summer stamp set called Newton’s Summer Treats with its coordinating dies.  Ice cream is my favorite dessert and this stamp set is just adorable!

This was the challenge I chose, all you have to do is visit the Inky Paws Challenge page to choose your favorite and play along with us!  The challenge will run for two weeks from June 17-28, 2019.  You still have plenty of time to join.  For this special challenge, Newton’s Nook is hosting 4 link ups and will choose a random winner from each link up to win a $25 store credit (total of four winners!!!!)

Here’s what I made:

I started by stamping the images from the Newton’s Summer Treats stamp set and die-cut the same with its coordinating dies.

The background was ink-blended with Mermaid Lagoon, Picked Raspberry and Carved Pumpkin distress Oxide inks.  I used my distress sprayer to spray some water and dabbed it with some paper towel for added texture.

The palm tress and grass hills were die-cut from some dies from my stash.  I stamped the sentiment with versamark ink and sprinkled some white embossing powder and heat set with my heating tool.

I adhered the images on the front panel.  To finish my design, I used glossy accents and stardust stickles on the ice cream and popsicle for added dimension and interest.  Here’s a closer look:

Thank you for stopping by my blog today and I hope you like my project.  Have an amazing day and happy stamping!
