Meet Me Under the Mistletoe and Peppermint Cards

Are you all done making your Christmas cards yet? I certainly am not. My travels kind of put me behind schedule so I am trying to catch up this week before I ventured off again to my next destination.

For my card below, I am showcasing the Pug Hugs, with the Holiday Smooches, Holiday Hounds and the Llama Delivery stamp sets by Newton’s Nook Designs. I love mixing and matching my stamp sets to create my scene.

I started out by stamping my images on Neenah solar white card stock and colored them in with my Copic markers. Since I didn’t want to leave a white border around the images, I decided to fuzzy-cut the Santa hat as well as the Pug. I also die-cut a birch tree from a die I have from my collection.

I used the Frames and Flags die set to create the frame for my card. I die-cut the frames on Bristol Smooth White card stock and on 110 lb. red card stock. I also used the land border dies to die-cut a snowy hill for my Pug.

To create my sky background, I used my mini ink-blending tool with broken china distress oxide ink then sprayed water using my distress sprayer. I used a paper towel to dab it dry.

I adhered the birch tree, snowy hill and my Pug to the card front. I stamped the mistletoe directly onto my background and colored the image with my Copic marker. I used my white Nuvo crystal drops to create dimension on the berries and the Santa hat. I also adhered the presents next to the Pug.

To finish my design, I used my Sharpie white pen and added dots to my card to create the look of snow.

Here’s my card:

I also wanted to include two cards that I recently made using the new Peppermint die set. This die is a must-have for any paper crafter.

For my first card below, I am showcasing the Stylish Stockings stamp set and dies.  I love this set so much.  You can create so many cute Christmas cards and gift tags using this set.  Here’s what it looks like:

I stamped my images with different stamp inks on Neenah smooth white card stock and die-cut them with the coordinating dies.  I die-cut the window frame and cut my plaid patterned paper to assemble my card.  To finish the design, I added the sentiment using the Sentiments of the Season stamp set (revealed on the first day) and added the holly and red berries.  Here’s the card:

Here’s another simple card with the Stylish Stockings and Sentiments of the Season:

For my third card, I am showcasing the Reindeer Roll Call Stamp set, and the Acetate Sheets and the Double-Sided Adhesive Foam Sheets by Newton’s Nook.  These double-sided adhesive fun foam is a must-have.  They are super sticky and very sturdy!  You are absolutely going to love this for your shaker cards.

NNDOCT17_ReindeerRollCall

I started out by coloring my card stock with my distress oxide inks (picked raspberry, wilted violet and broken china) with my blending tools.  I sprayed water on the colored card stock with my distress sprayer and dabbed it with a dry paper towel.  I die-cut this piece using a tag die from my collection.   I added the acetate sheet and double-sided adhesive foam to my card front.  I finished the design by adding a red ribbon, the jingle bells and the reindeers from the stamp set.  This card is so simple but so much fun.  Here’s the card:

NNDReindeerRollcall

Honey Bee Stamps – Message in a Bottle

HBunderthesea

I am so psyched to share with you today’s project because this week, Honey Bee Stamps is releasing the new Under the Sea stamps, dies and embellishments.  Wait ’til you “sea” the new products that are going to be featured this week.  Today is the first day and I am showcasing the super cute “Message in a Bottle” Stamp set.

I have to apologize that I will not be able to participate in the blog hop on Friday, July 14th.  I had to travel for a family emergency concerning my father-in-law and will not be available for the month of July.  Please check out the design team’s projects this week for more inspiration.

I started out by stamping my images on Neenah Solar White card stock and colored the images in with my Copic markers.  I did not have the coordinating dies just yet for this set and since I wanted to make a shaker tag, I decided to use my Exacto knife to cut out the middle portion of the bottle, and then covered both sides with acetate sheet.

HBmessage1

HBMessage2

I used a tag die from my stash to die-cut the tags.  I tore the card stock and sponged it with my distress ink to create the look of sand.  I adhered the shaker element using my Xyron mega tape runner and foam tape.  To finish my design, I stamped the sentiment, added the sun, and the cloud.  Here is what it looks like:

HBMessage4

Here’s another look:

HBMessage5

You are all going to absolutely love the new stamp sets and dies for the July release.  The stamps, dies and embellishments will be available for purchase on Friday, July 14th.  Please stay tuned for more project inspiration from the design team this week.  Have an amazing day!

DCWV/Xyron – Tag Mini Album

Hello my crafty friends! I am so excited to share with you today’s post because the Xyron design team is teaming up with DCWV.  My project today is an inspirational Tag/Mini Album, using stamps from my stash, showcasing this beautiful paper pack by DCWV called “Meet Me in Paris”.  A huge “thank you” to DCWV and Xyron for all of the amazing products we got to play with. They are extremely beautiful!

Here are the supplies I got to play with.

IMG_4805

I started out by die-cutting my tags using the beautiful paper packs and a tag die by Kat Scrappiness.  I distressed the tags with my distress ink using my sponge to make the tags look a little more vintage.   I also used my Xyron mega tape runner to adhere both tags to make it a little more sturdy.

For my tag below, I used an Eiffel tower die from my stash that I die-cut in gold.   I then used my Xyron Creative Station Lite to adhere the die-cut on my first tag.  I did the same process for all of my tags.

Here are the photos of the individual tags.  The first one is a shaker tag:

Here’s a photo of all of the tags.  I really love how it turned out:

Here’s what the tag mini album look like with the binder clip.  I also embellished the album with a gold tassel and a silver key.

Build-A-Snowman ~ Handmade Christmas Tags

Christmas is here before you know it and I wanted to make some handmade Christmas tags to put on my presents this year.  I wanted to use this cute die set that I purchased from KatScrappiness called “build-a-snowman” by Cheery Lynn Designs.

Aren’t they adorable?

Here is the process video if you would like to replicate them.  You don’t have to use the same dies that I have used. You can get inexpensive stickers at the Dollar store or any craft store to make handmade tags.

I hope you got inspired today.  Supplies I’ve used are listed and linked below:

Some fun and easy projects that I made using sequins and confetti by http://www.katscrappiness.com.

I love creating shaker tags and before I left for London a few weeks ago, I decided to create a fun luggage tag.  It held up quite nicely and survived 2 international trips so far!  I love making unique projects.

Here are the photos of the project but I also have a video available for you below where I showed all of the projects I made and a process video for the bookmark. I hope you get inspired:
