It is that time of the month where the entire design team get so excited to show off the new stamps, dies and stencils by Newton’s Nook Designs.   This is a very special month because Newton’s Nook is celebrating 6 years! Yay!!!! You also have a chance to win a $20 store credit for each reveal day so please read through til the end of the blog post to find out more info.  [Just a little important note:  I know some of you had difficulties finding the comments section.  If you would like to leave a comment to participate in the giveaway, the “comments section” will only be ever visible when a single post on Word Press is being viewed. For the first day of the reveals, we are showcasing Corgi Beach + coordinating die with the Hibiscus and Pineapple Layering Stencils, PLUS three (3) new edge stencils.  Here’s what they look like:

I started out with an A2 size panel of Bristol smooth white card stock and ink blended this piece with some distress oxide inks.  I used the Waves edge stencil and the Clouds edge stencil to create the clouds and the water.

I stamped and colored my images on some Neenah solar white card stock and colored them in with my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers. I used the Sea Border and Sky Border dies to create more texture to my ink-blended panel.  I adhered this piece on an A2-size side-fold card base and adhered the images with liquid and foam adhesive.

The coconut drink next to the Corgi is from the Aloha Newton stamp set.  I love that you can mix and match the stamp sets available at the shop.  To finish my design, I added glossy accents to the sunglasses and noses for added interest.  Here’s a closer look:

For my second card, I stamped and colored my image from the Aloha Newton stamp set using Spectrum Noir Finesse Alcohol Proof Dye Ink and colored it in with my Spectrum Noir TriBlend markers.  I ink-blended some white card stock using the new Clouds and Hill Edge stencils and die cut this piece with a scalloped border die from my stash.

I used the new Pineapple Layering Stencil with some distress oxide inks to ink-blend a panel of Bristol smooth white card stock.  I used my Spectrum Noir TriBlend marker in Light Pink blend to add the dots.  I attached an A2 size vellum, and adhered my focal image on the front of the card.

To finish my design, I added the sun, the coconut drink and the “Aloha” sentiment from the Aloha Newton die set.  I also added glossy accents to the coconuts to add more texture and interest.   Here’s a closer look at the card:

Caffeinated Fox with The Rabbit Hole Designs

Hello The Rabbit Hole Designs fans!  Maria here on the blog with you again today.   I am back to share this simple coffee-themed card, showcasing the Caffeinated Fox stamp set and the Perfectly Blended stamp set.

.

Here’s my card using the stamp set:

I stamped the images on some Neenah solar white card stock and colored the image in with my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.  I used the Gold Brown, Light Pink and Blue Turquoise blend.  Since this stamp set didn’t come with coordinating dies, I used my Brother Scan N Cut 2 machine to cut the image.

I used a Scalloped Border die to die-cut a Bristol smooth white panel and ink-blended this with Tattered Rose distress oxide ink. I adhered a pink patterned paper on my card base and added the inked backdrop to the card.  Lastly, I adhered my image and stamped the sentiment on my card.

To finish my design, I added some glossy accents to the fox’s nose.  Here’s a closer look:

I hope you like my card and got inspired.  The supplies I used are listed and linked below.  For more inspiration, updates, and news make sure to check out these places.  Happy stamping!

Celebrate 4th of July with Spectrum Noir

Hello Spectrum Noir fans! I hope you are having a good week so far! 4th of July is just around the corner and since I am currently overseas, I am celebrating this eventful day a little early by creating this cute card.

For my project today, I am showcasing some Spectrum Noir TriBlend Markers, Spectrum Noir Watermark ink and this cute (limited-edition) digital stamp set by Jessica Lynn Original called 4th of July Brentwood.

To begin, I printed my 4th of July Brentwood digi stamp on some Neenah solar white card stock and fussy-cut the image using my precision scissors.  I colored the image in with my Spectrum Noir TriBlend markers in Brown Grey Blend, True Blue Blend and Dark Red Blend.

On a piece of some Bristol smooth white card stock, I ink-blended some oxide inks using my mini ink blending tools.  I sprayed this with water using my distress sprayer and dabbed it with my paper towel to dry.

I used my Stitched fireworks die and ran it through my Gemini Junior die-cutting machine to create an impression and added texture to my colored background.  I die-cut the hill using a border hill die from my stash and stamped the word “Celebrate” using  Spectrum Noir Watermark ink.  I sprinkled this with white embossing powder and heat-set with my heating tool.  I adhered this hill on my colored background.

I used foam adhesive to adhere my image on the card and added Diamond stickles all over the background.  I also used glossy accents to add more texture and dimension to the owl and the stars.  Here’s my card:

Lastly, I used my white gel pen and added dots to make them look like stars.  I really LOVE using my Spectrum Noir TriBlend markers when I’m coloring my images.   They are so easy to use and the colors just blend so well together.  Here’s a closer look:

I would like to thank Jessica Lynn Original for providing this cute 4th of July Brentwood Owl digital stamp that I used today.

What are you all doing for the 4th of July?  My husband and I will celebrate quietly inside our humble abode, drinking champagne and thanking our forefathers for finding America and having the freedom that we now have today!  I am so proud to be an American!  God bless the United States of America!

I hope you like my project today and got inspired.  The supplies I used are listed and linked below.  Have an amazing day!

I started by drawing the background using my Micron 0.5 fine-liner on some Neenah 110 lb. solar white card stock.

I colored this background with my Spectrum Noir TriBlend markers in Citrus Green, Citrus and Jade Green blends.  I made sure to go back and forth until I had the nice blending between the three colors.

I stamped the images from the Doggone stamp set and colored them in with my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.  Since this stamp set didn’t come with coordinating dies, I die-cut the images using my Brother Scan N Cut 2 machine.

I used a die from my stash to die-cut the sentiment “hello” from some black card stock and finished my design by stamping the sentiment on the front panel and adding some red enamel hearts.  I also used my white gel pen to add more texture and interest.  Here’s a closer look at the card:

For my second card, I wanted to create a simple card that you can mass-produce.  I stamped the paw prints using versafine sepia ink on some beige card stock.  I also used a large speech bubble die to die-cut the speech bubble.

I used another die from my stash to add the “Woof” sentiment and finished my design by using my white gel pen to add some texture to the paw prints.

Stalked Ya Til You Liked Me!

Hello The Rabbit Hole Designs fans!  I am back today with a super funny (or creepy?) card, showcasing the Beach Day and Sassy Sentiment stamp sets.

Here’s how I made the card:

  • stamp the images on Neenah solar white card stock and color the images in with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers (or any medium of your choice).
  • cut the images using Brother Scan N Cut 2.
  • to create the water, I used a scene building stamp.  I also used a clouds stencil to create the clouds on the background.
  • on another A2 size panel, use a die to cut the window.  Use an embossing folder to emboss this piece.
  • use a palm tree die to die-cut the coconut tree on smooth white card stock.  Color the pieces with Spectrum Noir markers.
  • stamp the sentiment from the Sassy Sentiments stamp set on a piece of black card stock with Versamark ink.  Sprinkle white embossing powder and heat-set using my heating tool.
  • assemble the card.
  • finish the design by adding the enamel dots on the coconut tree.

The Sassy Sentiments stamp set is one of my all-time favorites and when I saw the Beach Day stamp set, I knew I needed to create this card design.

Here’s a closer look:

I hope you like my card and got inspired.  The supplies I used are listed and linked below.  Have an amazing day and happy crafting!

Little Huggable Stamp & Little Critters Fri-Dies – June Release by CAS-ual Fridays

Hello, hello my crafty peeps!  I am joining the CAS-ual Fridays Ink Squad to bring you the Little Huggable Stamp Set and Little Critters Fri-Dies. It is the first day of the June release and I am so thrilled to be asked by Michele to guest-design this month. I have missed the ink squad so much and I am happy to announce that starting in July, I am once again part of the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps design team.

For my first project, I started out by stamping my images with Spectrum Noir Finesse Black Ink.  This is an alcohol-friendly ink and perfect to use with my Spectrum Noir TriBlend markers.  I die-cut the images using the Little Critters Fri-Dies.

The background was ink-blended with some distress oxide inks for some pop of color.  I also used a small star die from my stash to die-cut three windows on some white card stock.   I used fun foam to add dimension and stability, and adhered the die-cut panel on the ink-blended background.

I die-cut the word “hello” using the Sweet Friend Fri-Dies on some Bristol smooth white card stock.  I ink-blended this carefully with distress oxide inks and adhered this piece on the card front.  I finished my card design by adhering the critters and adding sparkling clear jewels on the card.  Here’s a closer look:

For my second project, I once again ink-blended an A2-size Bristol smooth white card stock with distress oxide inks.  I sprayed this with water and dabbed it with some paper towel for some added interest and texture.  I adhered this background on an A2 size card base.

I also die-cut two white panels using a border die from my stash and adhered these pieces with fun foam and liquid glue for some added dimension.  I die-cut the palm trees using another die from my stash on some Bristol smooth white card stock and colored it with distress oxide inks.  I adhered the pieces on the card front with foam and liquid adhesives.

I finished my design by adding the sentiment “Pooches Gracias” stamped with versamark ink and heat-set using my heating tool.  Here’s a closer look:

I hope you like my projects today.   How about some prizes??     Michele is giving away three (3) $20 gift codes.  All you have to do is:

You Make Me Jump For Joy and I Love ‘Roo cards with Kat scrappiness

Hello Kat Scrappiness fans!  I have some fun projects for you today showcasing A LOT of products available at the shop.

Before I start with the post, I just want you guys to know that there is a 20% site-wide sale going on and you can use the coupon code mentioned below.  Take advantage of this sale and get your favorite products while you can:

For my project today, I am showcasing the Hoppy For you stamp set, along with the Yellow Star Sprinkles, Pink Flower Sprinkles, Wood Grain Frame Die, Stitched Cloud Backdrop die and the Mandala Frame die.

I started out by stamping the images on Spectrum Noir Ulta Smooth Premium White card stock using Spectrum Noir Finesse Alcohol-Proof Black ink.  I colored the images in with my Spectrum Noir TriBlend alcohol markers.  I die-cut the images using my Scan N Cut machine.

I adhered some Pink Flower Sprinkles on the mommy Kangaroo and layered the baby kangaroo inside the mommy’s pouch with liquid and foam adhesive.

The A2 size panel was die-cut using the Stitched Cloud Backdrop die and ink blended with Bubblegum, Soft Lilac and Butter Ink using some blending brushes and my Clouds stencil die.  I know you can hardly see the clouds because of the shaker elements but It’s important to me to have all those details in creating my card.  I also die-cut the frame using the Wood Grain Frame Die.

I adhered some acetate sheet and foam adhesive on the Wood Gran Frame Die and added the Yellow Star Sprinkles with Fairy Dust confetti mix for my shaker element.

I die-cut some black card stock using the Stitched Flag die and stamped the sentiment with Versamark ink.  I sprinkled white embossing powder and heat-set this with my heating tool.  I finished my design by adhering the kangaroo on the front panel.  Here’s my card:

I always LOVE making shaker cards and with the new sprinkles and sequin mixes available at the shop, it’s hard not to make them all the time.  They are super fun to make!  Here’s a closer look:

For my next card, I also used the Mandala Frame die and created a very simple, white-on white card.  The “wreath” was die-cut using a die from Hero Arts that I bought from Kat Scrappiness years ago.  I layered the flowers I colored earlier with liquid and foam adhesive.

To finish my design, I used my white gel pen to add some interest and texture on the flowers.  Here’s a closer look:

I hope you got inspired today.  The supplies I used are listed and linked below.  Have an amazing day and happy crafting!
