Funny Birthday Card with Frankly-isms by CAS-ual Fridays

Hello CAS-ual Fridays fans!  I am back with a super funny (and quick), clean & simple card showcasing the Frankly-isms stamp set.

I have been dying to use this stamp set for a friend’s birthday.  She and I share the same twisted humor and I thought this is going to be a perfect birthday card for her.

I ink-blended an A2-size Bristol smooth white card stock with distress oxide inks.  I used a stencil from my stash and combined Fossilized Amber, Carved Pumpkin and Candied Apple with my mini ink blending tools.

I stamped the sentiment in the middle and adhered this piece on an A2-size card base.

I finished my design by adding the sparkling clear jewels to add more interest and texture.  Here’s a closer look:

I hope you like my project today.  Please visit CAS-ual Fridays Stamps  to purchase the stamp that I featured today.  Don’t forget to use my coupon code “MARIASENTME” for 15% off your order at CAS-ual Fridays.  The rest of the supplies are listed and linked below. Happy stamping!

Newton’s Nook DT Birthday Blog Hop

NNDSurprise Birthday Blog Hop

Today is a super special day, we’re so glad you’re joining us!  All of the Newton’s Nook Designs DT members have gotten together to throw a surprise birthday blog hop for Jennifer, the owner, illustrator and all around wonderful person behind Newton’s Nook!
We are so honored to get to work with Jennifer, and we all just love her so much and wanted everyone to celebrate her birthday with you!   Jennifer, we hope you have the happiest birthday ever!

For my simple card below, I am showcasing the Newton Loves Cake stamp set and coordinating dies with the Baked From Scratch stamp set.  I love mixing and matching stamp sets to create my cards.

I started out by stamping my images onto Neenah solar white card stock and colored the images in with my Copic markers.  I die-cut my storybook window die with another 110 lb. white card stock.

I used the Tumbling Hearts stencil to ink-up my card panel.  I adhered my storybook window onto my card base, then used foam adhesives to adhere my colored images.  I finished my design by adding glossy accents to the candles, the collar and the little hearts.  Here’s my card:

Since I colored more than one image, I decided to make another card.  Here’s my second one:

CC Designs ~ Surprise Stamp Set

For the month of May, I was sent a stamp set by from http://www.not2shabbyshop.com called “Surprise” by CC Designs. I had a lot of fun playing with this stamp set and created 2 cards and 1 shaker tag.  Here are the photos.  I have also included my YouTube video if you’d like to see them or know more about what supplies I’ve used to create the projects.
