CC Designs Summer Release + Video

Happy Friday my crafty friends! I am back today to share with you some good news! I just recently joined the CC Designs Creative Team and I am so in-love with the Summer Release that I just had to share them with you today.

For today’s card, I am showcasing the Summer Together stamp set. The image I chose for my card below is perfect for any summer-themed projects or Father’s Day Card perhaps?!

The images were colored with alcohol markers and the background was ink-blended with distress oxide inks.

My process video is linked below if you’d like to see how I made the card.

I hope you like the card. The supplies I use are listed and linked below. Have an amazing weekend!

Newton’s Nook Designs May Release – Newton Loves Boxes & Newton’s Donut

NNDReleaseIcon18May

It is the last day of the May reveals by Newton’s Nook Designs  and we are doing a double-whammy kind of day!  Don’t forget to check out the details I have indicated at the end of this blog post for a chance to win the stamp set being revealed each day.  [Just a little important note:  I know some of you had difficulties finding the comments section.  If you would like to leave a comment to participate in the giveaway, the “comments section” will only be ever visible when a single post on Word Press is being viewed. For our projects, the design team is showcasing the Newton Loves Boxes stamp set and coordinating die with Newton’s Donut stamp set and coordinating die.   I love, love, love these two stamp sets!

I stamped the images on Neenah solar white card stock and colored them in with my Copic markers.  I die-cut the images using the coordinating dies.  I had planned on creating two Clean and Simple cards today.  The images are so cute and I wanted these images to pop.

I dry-embossed two (2) A2 size card stocks with the Postage die from the Framework die set (revealed last Monday), with my Sizzix Premium Crease Pad.  As I previously mentioned, I am really loving this dry-embossed look.  I die-cut a little window from a wonky square die from my stash.

To finish my design, I stamped the stars from the Cosmic Newton stamp set on my foreground using a very light gray ink.  These stars gave a subtle background but the main focus is still the image.  Here’s my first card:

Don’t you just LOVE this image?  I completely adore this!  I have a Persian cat named Chloe and I often find her hidden inside a box with her tail sticking out!  Haha! This is so cute!

I think this image is my favorite in the stamp set!

Here’s my second card:

I cannot get over how cute these images really are!

For my second project, I created the same embossed look with the Postage die from the Framework die set.  I also die-cut two tags using the Fancy Edges Tag die set, and the bow from my favorite Pines and Holly die set.  I adhered the pieces on my card base and finished the design by adding glossy accents to the sprinkles to make them pop.  Here’s my card:

Isn’t this the best double-whammy kind of day?  I absolutely adore these two stamp sets we revealed today!  I think they are not only cute, but they are very unique!

The design is pretty busy but by using the neutral colored background and matching it with the tag and bow, it just worked perfectly!

Newton’s Nook Designs May Release – Papa Bear

NNDReleaseIcon18May

It is the third day of the May reveals by Newton’s Nook Designs.   Are you loving what you’re seeing so far?  Don’t forget to check out the details I have indicated at the end of this blog post for a chance to win the stamp set being revealed each day.  [Just a little important note:  I know some of you had difficulties finding the comments section.  If you would like to leave a comment to participate in the giveaway, the “comments section” will only be ever visible when a single post on Word Press is being viewed. For our projects today, the design team is showcasing the Papa Bear stamp set and coordinating dies.   This stamp set is perfect for Father’s Day cards or just about any occasion.   We don’t really have to wait for Father’s Day to make a card for our Dads (husbands, grand fathers, etc.) so this stamp set is a definite “must-have”!

NNDMAY18PapaBear

I stamped the images on Neenah solar white card stock and colored them in with my Copic markers.

I die-cut another piece of white card stock, using the scallop die from the Frames and Flags die set.  Using my handmade clouds stencil made from the Sky Borders die that I created awhile back, I colored the background with my mini ink blending tools and distress oxide.  I also used another handmade stencil to create the hills.

I used a scallop die that I have from my stash to die-cut the middle piece to create a little window.  I adhered this piece on my card base.  I die-cut a yellow card stock with a sun die from my stash and glued this piece on top.  I used fun foam to create some dimension on my foreground and adhered it on my card.

To finish the design, I stamped the sentiment and added the pink hearts.  I put glossy accents to the hearts to give it a little shine.  Here’s the card:

This card is really simple but I love how it turned out.

Father’s Day Card with Dad’s Tools stamp set by Kat Scrappiness

Hello my crafty friends, Maria here with you today on the blog!  I hope you are all having a great week so far.  Father’s Day is fast approaching and it is time to honor all the AMAZING dads out there.  The new Dad’s tools – 6×8 Layered stamp set is perfect for this type of occasion, or you can even make just-because cards.  It doesn’t always just have to be for one day out of the year.  I know if my Dad were here, I probably would make him a card at least once a month.

I started out by stamping my images on Neenah solar white card stock, using my Tim Holtz Tonic Stamp Platform.  I think it is a must-have tool for stamping layered images.  Since this stamp set did not have matching dies, I used my Brother Scan N Cut2 to die-cut the images.

I used the biggest of my Cross Stitched Rectangle dieto die-cut the blue patterned paper taken from the Gotta Have Gingham Petite Paper Pack 6×6 by Lawn Fawn.  I then used the third piece of the Cross Stitched Rectangle dieto die-cut a piece of silver card stock. I placed this card stock onto my We R Memory Keepers embossing folder and run it through my die-cutting machine to emboss this piece.

I adhered my blue patterned paper onto my card base and then layered the embossed silver cardstock on top for my foreground.  On another piece of white card stock, I die-cut the word Dad with the Uppercase Condensed Alphabet Dies.  To give it some dimension, I used my foam adhesive to adhere the word Dad onto my card.

I stamped the sentiment on a black card stock with my Versa-mark ink and used my white embossing powder then set it using my heating tool.  I also adhered the hammer and screwdriver images from the stamp set.  I finished the design by adhering my blue enamel dots on the four corners of my silver card stock embossed piece.  Here’s the card.

I honestly struggle with masculine cards so designing this was a bit of a challenge for me.  However, I love how this turned out.  Here’s a close-up look:
