For Day 3, we are showcasing the Baa Stamp Set and coordinating dies.

This stamp set is probably one of my favorites from the release this week!  Once again I wanted some soft colors to welcome spring!

I started by stamping my images on some Neenah solar white with Memento Rich Cocoa ink.  I colored the images in with alcohol markers and positioned the dies with some purple tape to die-cut them out.

Next, I die-cut the elements that I need to create my scene using some of my favorite scene-builder dies from Newton’s Nook –>  Land Borders Die Set (for the grass and hill), Picket Fence Die and the Sky Scene Builder die set. The tiny trees were die-cut using a die from my collection.

I prepared my background by adding the clouds using the Clouds Stencil with some blending brush and dye ink.  I adhered this panel on an A-2 size notecard.   I started adhering the pieces that I die-cut earlier to create my scene and foam-mounted the grass for added dimension.

I adhered the colored images with some liquid glue and finished the design by adding the sentiment that was embossed and heat-set on some black card stock.  Here’s another look at the finished card:

Barnyard Bunnies Pocket Pals with LDRS Creative

Hello there! I’m back today for LDRS Creative to share this cute Mini Slimline Card, showcasing the Barnyard Bunnies Pocket Pals stamp set and Barnyard Bunnies Pocket Pals dies, along with the Country Fence Pocket Die,  Slimline Basket Weave Pocket die set and Farmer’s Market 6×6 Paper Pad.  I thought these items just perfectly go together like peanut butter and jelly!  Everything is just perfectly proportioned from the stamps, dies and patterned paper!
To make the card, I started by preparing my slimline card base that measures 5 1/2 x 6 inches that I folded in half.  I used the Slimline Basket Weave Pocket die set and the Farmer’s Market 6×6 Paper Pad to die-cut the panel and adhered this on my card base with liquid glue.  The design I chose from the paper pad really is the perfect background for my scene.  I really LOVE the paper pads that are available at the shop!
Next, I stamped the images on some Neenah solar white card stock and colored them in with alcohol markers.  Since the images are so tiny, I only use a maximum of two markers for each image to blend the colors.   Easy, peasy!
I die-cut the little white picket fence using the Country Fence Pocket Die.  This is just the perfect size to use for my scene!  I foam-mounted the pieces on my focal panel, along with my colored images.
Next, I stamped the sentiment on some black card stock with Watermark ink and sprinkled some white embossing powder on top.  I used my heating gun to heat-set the sentiment and adhered to the card with my ATG gun.  I finished my design by adding some glossy accents to the tractor’s window.  Here’s another look at the card:
I love that this card was so easy to put together by combining some amazing products from the shop!  I hope you like this card today and got inspired.  The supplies I use are listed and linked below.  Thanks for stopping by, and happy crafting!

Farm-themed Cards with Newton’s Nook

Hello Newton’s Nook fans!  Have you seen last week’s April release?  What was your favorite?  I am back today to share with you two farm-themed cards, showcasing the Oink stamp set and coordinating dies with the Moo stamp set and coordinating dies.

Here’s my first card:

NNDOink1A

I started out by stamping my images on Neenah solar white card stock and colored them in with Copic markers.  I used the coordinating dies to die-cut the images.  I inked up a Bristol smooth white card stock with some Broken China distress oxide inks to create the sky.  I die-cut the rest of the images that I needed and assembled the card.  Here’s a closer look:

NNDOink1B

I absolutely ADORE these little piggies.  I don’t know about you but I think pigs are extremely cute.  A crafty friend of mine has a pet pig and that pig is so smart it makes me want to have one as a pet.

NNDOink1C

For my second project, I did all those steps that I mentioned above.  However for my grass hill and trees, I inked up my Neenah solar white card stock with some freshly cut grass ink using some make-up brushes.  I really love how it turned out.

NNDMoo2A

For my background, I inked up the background with Tumbled Glass and Spun Sugar distress oxide inks.  I also used the aged mahogany distress oxide inks to add the colorful speckles.  To create my clouds, I used the Cloudy Sky stencil by Newton’s Nook with some Peacock Feathers distress oxide ink.  Here’s a closer look:

NNDMoo2B

The sentiment was stamped using Aged Mahogany distress oxide ink and “note to self”, next time wait for it to dry before adhering it to the card base.   I smudged the sentiment a little.  I didn’t want all of my efforts to be wasted so I am keeping the card as it is.  To finish the design, I used my Sakura white gel pen to add some dots and lines to the trees to give it a little dimension.  I do LOVE how both cards turned out (with the exception of my little boo-boo!).

I hope you like my cards.  The supplies I used are listed and linked below in case you are interested.  Thank you for stopping by my blog today and happy crafting!

NND_April19

It is the second day of the April reveals by Newton’s Nook Designs.   I hope you were able to check out yesterday’s reveal.  You also have a chance to win each stamp set during release week so check out the details I have indicated at the end of this blog post.  [Just a little important note:  I know some of you had difficulties finding the comments section.  If you would like to leave a comment to participate in the giveaway, the “comments section” will only be ever visible when a single post on Word Press is being viewed. For our projects today, the design team is showcasing the Cluck stamp set and coordinating dies.  Here’s what it looks like:

NNDAPR19_Cluck

Here’s my card:

NNDCluck1A

How I made it:

  • stamp the images on Neenah solar white card stock and color the images in with Copic markers.
  • die-cut the images using the coordinating dies.
  • die-cut the speech bubbles using the Speech bubble die set and stamp the sentiment on each bubble.
  • die-cut the clouds using the Sky borders die set and the Picket Fence with some white card stock.
  • cut an A2 size piece of Bristol smooth white card stock and use the Sunscape stencil to ink up the background with some distress oxide inks.  I used the Mustard Seed and Fossilized Amber distress oxide inks.
  • use the distress sprayer to spray some water on the inked up background and wipe it with some paper towel.
  • die-cut the grass three times using the grass border die with some patterned paper.
  • adhere the clouds using some foam adhesive.
  • assemble the rest of the elements to finish the card design.

To finish my design, I used my Sakura white gel pen to add some lines and dots on the images.  Here’s a closer look:
