To begin, I stamped the dragonflies on some Bristol Smooth white card stock with Versamark ink.  I sprinkled some white embossing powder, and heat-set with my heating tool.   I use the coordinating dies to cut them out.

Next, I used my mini-sponge daubers to color the dragonflies with some distress oxide inks.

I cut some patterned paper strip and adhere this on an A2 size card base.  To create more texture to the background, I stamped the dragonflies with some Fog ink.  I cut a strip of black card stock and adhered it onto the card.

I foam-mounted the dragonflies on the card for added dimension.

To finish my design, I stamped the sentiment and adhered some sparkling clear droplets for added texture and interest.

CAS-ual Fridays Release – Day 1 – Slimline Pinked Fri-Die

It’s the first day of the September release by CAS-ual Fridays Stamps and we are featuring the new Slimline Pinked Fri-Dies.

I started by die-cutting some Neenah solar white card stock using the Birdies Fri-Die.  I positioned the positive die-cut inside by Misti stamping tool and stamped the image using the Little Birdies stamp set.  I colored the images in with my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.

I inked up a panel of Bristol smooth white card stock using some clouds and grass stencils from my collection to create my scene.  I adhered my focal image on the card.

The Fish-tail bunting border was created using the small dies that are included in the Slimline Pinked Fri-die set and die-cut with some patterned paper.  I drew a line and adhered the die-cuts with liquid glue.  I also die-cut the word “hooray” and some stars and adhered them on the card.

I added my focal panel on a slimline card base, measuring 8 1/5 by 7, scored at 3 1/2 inches.  To finish my design, I stamped the sentiment with Versafine Onyx black ink.  Here’s another look:
