Newton’s Movie Night and Coordinating Dies

Cascading Stars and Popcorn Stencils

Here is my card:

NNDNewtonsMovieNight1A

Here’s how I made it:

  • stamp the images on smooth white card stock, color and and die-cut the images using the coordinating dies.  I used the dies to die-cut the 3D glasses and the popcorn but I fussy-cut the main image.
  • Ink up an A2 size piece of Bristol smooth white card stock with distress oxide inks.  I used Victorian Velvet distress oxide ink.
  • I smooshed my Aged Mahogany distress oxide ink onto an acrylic block and used my distress sprayer to add water.  I then used my watercolor brush to splatter some color onto my inked up background.
  • I used the popcorn stencil and moonstone glimmer paste to add some glitter and shine on my background, using a palette knife.

IMG_2129

  • I used another die from my stash to die-cut the “wooden floors”.  I also used this die to die-cut the colored background.  I adhered both panels to my A2-size card base.

IMG_2130

  • I die-cut some diagonal frames in white and pink card stock and adhered them together, and stamped my sentiment.
  • I adhered all of the pieces onto the card.
  • I finished my design by adding some glossy accents to the 3D glasses.

Happy Mother’s Day with the Rabbit Hole Designs

Hello The Rabbit Hole Designs fans!  It’s Mother’s Day and I hope everyone’s celebrating this day with their loved ones.  For today’s card, I am showcasing the We Are Family stamp set:

Here’s how I made the card:

  • stamp the images on some Neenah classic crest solar white card stock and color it in with alcohol markers (or any medium of your choice).
  • I used a small stamp set from my stash to create the grassy hill, inking it up using my make-up brushes and some Lawn Fawn Celery ink.
  • I also stamped the clouds with Memento Desert Sand ink and colored them with alcohol markers.
  • I used a small “Mom” die to die-cut the background.  I also die-cut a few more and layered them together to make the word “Mom” stand out on the card.

Here’s a closer look:

I have been really loving  some clean and simple designs lately.  I hope you like my card today.  Happy crafting!

javajoes_540x

I started by stamping my images on some Neenah classic crest 110 lb. solar white card stock  with Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink (this is an alcohol-friendly ink).  I colored my images in with my Spectrum Noir TriBlend Markers.   I used my make-up brushes with my Clouds stencil to add the clouds on the background.  I masked the bottom and used my make-up brushes again to add the color to make it look like grass.   I added the “pebble stones” by drawing them using the Brown Grey Blend Triblend Markers.

Mother’s Day Handmade Gifts with Xyron Glaminator and Xyron Metallic Transfer Foil

********SPONSORED POST*******

Good morning my crafty peeps!  I am so happy to announce that I am part of the Xyron Makers Program for 2019.   For today’s projects, I am sharing some handmade mother’s day gift using the new Glaminator Foil Laminator 9″ Machine by Xyron, Color Transfer Foil, the Xyron 1.5 X- Sticker Maker and the Mega Tape Runner.  Here’s what I got to play with:

IMG_2084

I started by creating my own artwork using a photo editing software.   I printed this artwork using my Canon Laser Printer – LBP6030w.

IMG_2083

Here’s a YouTube demo video on how I used the Xyron Glaminator Laminator 9″ Machine with the Xyron Metallic Transfer Foil.

I really LOVE how simple and easy it is to use the Glaminator machine and I really like the simplicity of the artwork I created below.

xyronmothersday1A

To go with this handmade art, I created a mother’s day card.  I stamped the flower on some Neenah solar white card stock using different inks from Altenew.  I used the coordinating die to die-cut the image.

I stamped the Happy Mother’s Day sentiment on some black card stock using Versamark ink.  I sprinkled this with some white embossing powder and heat-set it using my heating tool.  I used my Xyron 1.5 Sticker Maker to add some adhesive to this piece and adhered the same to my card.

IMG_2086

I also adhered the flower image on the card using my Xyron Mega Tape Runner.

Here’s my handmade card:

xyronmothersday1D

I used some glossy accents to give the flower a little dimension.  I also used my sakura gel pen to add the dots to the center of the flower.  This card will house a gift card for my mom.   Here’s a closer look:

Here’s how I wrapped the art work:

I hope you like projects today.  If you would like to know more about the amazing Xyron Glaminator Machine, please click here for some detailed info.  The supplies I used are listed and linked below.  Have an amazing day and happy crafting!

katscrapclbhpromo

I started out by die-cutting my coffee cup with the Layered Coffee Cup Die set on Neenah 110 lb solar white and Neenah desert storm card stock.  I used my alcohol markers to lightly colored the coffee cup to give it dimension.  I assembled the layered coffee cup and stamped my sentiment using the Let’s Get Caffeinated stamp set.

On a piece of Bristol smooth white card stock, I used my blending brushes to add some pastel colors with some Lawn Fawn inks and inked up my background.  I used a stamp set from my stash with some white pigment ink to create the “bokeh” effect on my card.

Using an angel wings die from my stash, I die-cut the piece with some iridescent vellum.  I adhered the wings to the cup and adhere this piece on my card base.  Here’s my card:

KatScrapCLBH2019SummerSpri1A

The angel wings went perfectly well with the sentiment that I used.  To finish my design, I added some white jewels on my card.  Here’s a closer look:
