Halloween Card with Newton’s Perfect Pumpkin

Hello Newton’s Nook fans! It’s been super HOT here at home and I have been dreaming about sweater weather, and anything pumpkin related.  This is my inspiration for today’s card.  Although when this post actually goes live, hubby and I will be in South Africa enjoying their winter weather; at least for about a week or so!  If you follow me on instagram, you might be able to see some photos of my trip.

For my project today, I am showcasing Newton’s Perfect Pumpkin stamp set, and I paired it with a lot of images from Pick-A-Pumpkin with Newton’s Boo-tiful night, and my sentiment is from the Creepy Cameos stamp set.  The birch tree is from the Forest scene Builder die set and the grass is from the Land Border die set.

To begin, I stamped and colored my images on some Spectrum Noir Ultra Smooth Premium white card stock.  This card stock is perfect for coloring with alcohol markers. I fussy-cut the images with my precision-cut scissors.

The background is ink-blended with different distress oxide inks.  I spritzed this with water using my distress sprayer and dabbed it with my paper towel to dry to get more texture.  I also die-cut the birch trees and the grass a couple of times with some black card stock.

I stamped the moon and stars from Newton’s Boo-tiful Night stamp set on my colored background with Versamark ink.  I sprinkled this with some white embossing powder, and heat-set using my Wagner heating tool.  I did the same thing for my sentiment.  I assembled the card by adhering the birch trees first, followed by the grass.  I foam-mounted some of the trees and Newton to create more dimension on my scene.

To finish my design, I stamped the black bats and added the white dots using my Sakura white gel pen.  I also adhered the spider web using liquid glue.  Here’s a closer look:

I know it’s too early to create Halloween projects since it’s only August but I love Halloween and creating Halloween cards is one of my favorite thing to do!

I hope you like my card today.  The supplies I used are listed and linked below.  Thank you for stopping by and have an amazing day!  Happy stamping!

Hope Shaker Card with Cas-ual Fridays Stamp

Hello everyone! It’s Maria back on the blog with you today with another card, showcasing the Tin Roof Cover Die and the Big Hope Fri-Die.

This type of card is never easy to make.  A friend of mine was diagnosed with breast cancer a few months ago and she is currently going through some chemo treatment.  She’s doing really well (thank the Lord above)!  I will be sending her a gift and so I created this card to go along with it.

This card is really simple to make and I didn’t even do any stamping.  I started by die-cutting the Tin Roof Cover Die with a 110 lb. white card stock.  I also die-cut the word “hope” and set both aside as I worked on my background.

I ink-blended an A2 size Bristol Smooth white card stock with Spun Sugar and Worn Lipstick using a sunburst stencil.  I know you can hardly see the inside but it is a sun-ray.  I figured the significance of this would have a huge impact since there’s always light at the end of the tunnel, and she is almost there!

I die-cut a frame die and adhered my Tin Roof die-cut behind the frame.  I wanted to create a shaker card and needed the frame to cover the foam tape.  I also adhered the acetate sheet to keep the shaker elements intact.

I used some light pink and crystal sequins mix with sparkling stars for my shaker element.  This card is so pretty in real life.

To finish my design, I ink-blended the “hope” die-cut with the same distress oxide ink that I used for the background and layered it with some dark gray card stock to add some texture and dimension.  Here’s a closer look:

I hope you like my project today.  Please visit CAS-ual Fridays Stamps  to purchase the stamp and dies that I featured today.  Don’t forget to use my coupon code “MARIASENTME” for 15% off your order.  Happy stamping!

Born to be a Unicorn with The Rabbit Hole Designs

Hello The Rabbit Hole Designs fans! It’s Maria back on the blog with you today sharing yet another unicorn card, showcasing the Sassy stamp set.

Here’s my card:

To begin, I stamped the image on some Neenah solar white card stock and colored the images in with my Spectrum Noir and Copic alcohol markers.  I also used some Stardust stickles to cover the unicorn and set it aside to dry.

I used a rainbow die from my stash to die-cut different colors of card stock and put these pieces together with some adhesive.   I also die-cut a huge cloud from the same die set with some glittered card stock.

I used the same rainbow die to die-cut a window on my white card stock.  I foam-mounted this piece and adhered it onto an A2 size card base to create some dimension. I added my rainbow die-cut with liquid adhesive.

I used different sequins and star confetti to adhere on top of the rainbow.

I stamped some cloud images on my card front with some fog ink.   Lastly, I stamped the sentiment on my card with some Worn Lipstick distress oxide.  Here’s a closer look:

Isn’t she a cutie??  I hope you like my card and got inspired. The supplies I used are listed and linked below.  For more inspiration, updates, and news make sure to check out these places.  Happy stamping!

For my second card, I wanted to create a simple card that you can mass-produce.  I ink-blended the background using the new Candy Twist 6×6 stencil with some Evergreen Bough distress oxide ink.  I die-cut this piece using a die from my stash and adhered the background on an A2 size card base.  I added the Octopi on the card.

Little Birdies with Cas-ual Fridays Stamps

Hello CAS-ual Fridays fans!  Maria here on the blog with you today with this cute card, showcasing the Little Birdies stamp set and Birdies Fri-Dies.

Before I tell you how I made my project, I just wanted you all to know that there is a Christmas in July sale going on and the last day is tomorrow.   The Christmas items are already 40% off but if you use my coupon code below (MARIASENTME), you will get an additional 15% off.

To start, I die-cut the image on Neenah solar white card stock using the Birdies Fri-dies.  I did this because the die is a solid piece.  I used my stamping tool to stamp the image on the die-cut and colored my images in with my Spectrum Noir Alcohol markers.

I use a clouds stencil to add color on a piece of some Bristol smooth white card stock with two shades of blue distress oxide ink – Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean.  I used a die to die-cut the colored background and foam mounted the frame onto an A2 size card base.

I die-cut the branch and leaves using some dies from my stash and adhered the pieces on my foreground.

I finished my design by adding some Bubblegum Bliss Crystal Drops.  Here’s a closer look:

Livin’ La Vida Mocha

Hello The Rabbit Hole Designs fans!  I made this cute coffee-themed card today showcasing the Caffeinated Bee and its coordinating die with the Perfectly Blended stamp set.

.

Here’s my card using the stamp set:

I stamped the image on some Neenah solar white card stock and colored the images in with my Spectrum Noir and Copic alcohol markers.  I used the Citrus Blend for the yellow and blended it with the Coral TriBlend marker to create a deeper shadow.

I used a (D.I.Y.) patterned paper for the background that I adhered on an A2-size card base.   This D.I.Y. patterned paper is just in my stash of ready-to-use backgrounds.  I made it by using some stamps from an old craft magazine that I purchased awhile back.  Sometimes when I have some free time, I stamp images on Neenah solar white to create my own patterned paper.

I die-cut the hexagon piece using an old die from my stash and I used my Copic marker to color it so that it matches the bee.  I adhered this piece on an oval-shaped white card stock to add more texture to the card, without overwhelming the whole card design.

I adhered the bee with some foam adhesive to add more dimension.  To finish my design, I added the enamel hearts from Doodlebug and stamped the sentiment from the Perfectly Blended stamp set.  Here’s a closer look at the card:

Isn’t she a cutie??  This Caffeinated Bee is one of my favorite stamp set from The Rabbit Hole Designs.  I hope you like my card and got inspired.  The supplies I used are listed and linked below.
