Thinking of You card with Miss Ink Stamps

It’s week 2 for my guest-design post with Miss Ink Stamps and for my project today, I am still showcasing the Springtime Bunnies stamp set along with and Springtime Banners stamp set and the Scene Builder Stencil.  Here’s what they look like:

I started by stamping my images on Neenah solar white and colored them in with alcohol markers.  I die-cut the images using my Brother Scan N Cut 2 machine.

I inked up a Bristol smooth panel with my distress oxide inks and used the clouds stencil to color the background.  I used some dies from my stash to die-cut the pieces.  Also used the same dies to die-cut 3 windows on some A2 size patterned paper.

MissInkBunny2A

To finish my design I adhered the frames and the banners with the flowers and baby chicks on the card with some liquid adhesive.  Here’s a closer look:

I hope you like my card today.  The supplies I used are listed and linked below.  I hope you all have a great day and Happy crafting!

Happy Spring with Miss Ink Stamps

Hello my crafty peeps!  I am super excited to share this post today because I have been asked by Miss Ink Stamps to guest design for the next 6 weeks!  Yay!

For my project today, I am showcasing the Springtime Bunnies stamp set along with and Springtime Banners stamp set and the Scene Builder Stencil.  Here’s what they look like:

I started out by stamping my images on Neenah solar white card stock.  I colored the images in with my Copic markers.  I used my Scan N Cut machine to die-cut the images.

I cut an A2 size piece of Bristol smooth white card stock and used a die from my stash to cut the trees and hills.  I individually inked up my background with Broken China and Spun Sugar distress oxide.  I colored the trees with my Copic markers and Prisma color pencils.  I inked up the grassy hill with Mowed Lawn distress oxide inks.  Also used the Scene Builder Stencil to add some tufts of grass on the hill.

I adhered the pieces on an A2 size top-folding card base and used both foam and liquid adhesives to adhere my cute critters.  Here is my card:

MissInkStampsBunny1A

To finish my design, I used my Sakura white gel pen to add some dot details to the plans, and the critters and used my black gel pen to darken the bunny’s and bird’s eyes.  Here’s a closer look:

MissInkStampsBunny1B

I hope you like my card today.  The supplies I used are listed and linked below.  I hope you all have a great day and Happy crafting!

Here’s my first card with the Newton’s Birdhouse stamp set:

NNDNewtonsBirdhouse1A

Here’s how I made my card:

  • stamp and color the image with Copic markers (or any coloring medium of your choice)
  • die-cut the image using the coordinating dies.
  • cut an A2 size of Bristol smooth white card stock and ink up the background with different distress oxide inks.
  • die-cut the picket fence with some white card stock.  Cut the picket fence to create two small ones.
  • ink up another piece of some Bristol smooth white card stock using mowed lawn distress oxide inks.
  • use the grass border die to die-cut this piece.
  • use a stitched die to create the flying pattern for the bird.
  • use the little dots from the Tranquil Tides stamp set to stamp onto the background.

Here’s a closer look:

NNDNewtonsBirdhouse1B

I finished my design by adding some white dots on the birdhouse using my Sakura white gel pen.

NNDNewtonsBirdhouse1C

For my second project, I created a one-layer card using the Mother’s Day mini stamp set and some images from the Cottage Garden stamp set, with some pastel-color inks.

NNDMothersDay1A

I added glossy accents to the flower to give it a little shine and dimension.  I love creating backgrounds using small stamp sets.

NNDMothersDay1B

For my third project, I created another one-layer card using the Father’s Day stamp set and some images from the Tranquil Tides stamp set.

NNDFathersDay1A

I really think the images on the Tranquil Tides stamp set went perfectly well with the Father’s Day mini stamp.  I finished my design by adhering starfishes with some foam adhesive and adding glossy accents to the card.

NNDFathersDay1B
