Love You to the Moon & Back Scrapbook Layout

Hello my crafty friends!  I am super excited to share my project today.  Mother’s Day is fast-approaching and I wanted to create a scrapbook page layout, showcasing the Large Alpha dies, the “Love You to the Moon & Back” script sentiment dies by Kat Scrappiness, plus other supplies available at the shop.

I started by inking my 12 x 12  white card stock with my ink blending tool and my Worn Lipstick and Fossilized Amber distress oxides.    I spritzed my background with water and dabbed it with my paper towel.  I love the look of distress backgrounds especially on white card stock.

I matted my mom’s photograph on Gina K Designs Black Card Stock.  I also stamped my flowers and leaves using the Lawn Fawn Fab Flowers 4 x 6 stamp set.  I die-cut my images using the Lawn Fawn Fab Flowers dies.

Using the Large Alphabet Dies, I die-cut the letters M-O-M on Gina K Designs Black Card Stock.   I adhered the die-cut pieces onto my layout using my Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive, lining it up with my T-square ruler to make sure that they are evenly spaced and perfectly aligned.

I adhered my mom’s photograph onto my layout.  To finish my design, I added the rest of my embellishments.  Here is my layout:

Here’s a little close-up!  Isn’t she beautiful?!  My mom is an amazing, strong, beautiful person, inside and out.  She has taught me how to become independent, and be able to do things that I couldn’t even believe it’s possible.  I am such a lucky person to have a mom like mine.  I love her to the moon and back!

Kat Scrappiness Dies with Lawn Fawn Sweet Friends

I hope you all had a great Valentine’s Day yesterday!  I have two cute cards for you today showcasing the (new) Large Alpha Dies, Distressed Edge Circle Dies, Distressed Edge Rectangle Dies, Fancy Scalloped Edge Dies by Kat Scrappiness, with Lawn Fawn’s Sweet Friends stamp set and Sweet Friends Lawn Cuts dies.

Even though these two cards have hearts, they are not for Valentine’s Day.  My friends and I love s’mores and I thought the Sweet Friends stamp set with the Large Alpha Dies and other dies by Kat Scrappiness would be perfect to use for my cards today.

I have a process video for you so I will keep this blog post short.  Here are my cards:

Kat Scrappiness Large Alpha Dies with Lawn Fawn

Hello my crafty friends.  I am back today to share with you a simple Valentine’s Day card, showcasing the new Large Alphabet dies and Christmas Red Sequins by Kat Scrappiness,   Lawn Fawn Sweet Friends stamp set and Lawn Fawn Sweet Friends coordinating dies, plus other supplies available at the shop.

I started out by stamping my images on Neenah Solar white card stock and I colored the images in with my Copic markers.   I cut another 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 piece of Bristol Smooth white card stock and used my Tumbling Hearts stencil to create my background, with my Worn Lipstick distress oxide ink and the ink blending tool.

I wanted to create a Valentine’s Day shaker card and also use the new Large Alphabet Dies.  I chose the letters, X and O and used my die-cutting machine to cut my background.  I covered it with my acetate and used my foam tape to create my shaker window.  I have been meaning to use the Christmas Red sequins and thought that this was the perfect color to use as my shaker element.

To finish my design, I added my little Froyo images and stamped my sentiment.  I also added the little strawberries to the Froyo and covered it with glossy accents.  Here is the card:

Merry Wishes Gift Card Holder

Hello my crafty friends!  I hope you are all ready for Christmas!  I am still wrapping presents and prepping for the holidays and one of the things I made today is this special Gift Card Holder that will house a gift card for my daughter. She loves reading, and she loves Harry Potter so I thought it’s appropriate to use this stamp set that I purchased awhile back from The Sassy Club, as well as my favorite stamps and dies from Lawn Fawn.

I started out by stamping my images on Neenah solar white card stock and colored them in with my Copic markers. I used my Brother Scan N Cut 2 Machine to die-cut the images from The Sassy Club since this stamp set doesn’t have any coordinating dies. I also die-cut the other stamped images from Lawn Fawn with the Stitched Hillside Backdrop and the Stitched Mountain Border dies, as well as the embellishments that I wanted to add to the card to create my scene.

For the inside of the card, I used Fancy Scalloped Rectangle Stackables, Lift the Flap and Simple Gift Card Slot Dies by Lawn Fawn to house my gift card.

To finish my design, I added stickles to the snow, the lampposts, as well as the trail of stars on the card front. For the inside of the card, I used my Sharpie White Paint Pen to draw the arrow and wrote the word “lift”. Here’s my card:

Front of the card:

Inside of the card:

I really love how this card turned out. It took me an hour or two to create it but this card is really special and I know that my daughter will appreciate it very much. I hope you like my card today. I have listed and linked the supplies I used. Thanks for stopping by my blog today and have a Merry Christmas!

Pumpkin Spice in my Latte

Hello my crafty friends.  I am up for Kat Scrappiness today to share with you a simple coffee-themed shaker tag, showcasing products available at the shop.

I started out by stamping my images using the Pumpkin Spice Stamp Set and Dies by Lawn Fawn on Neenah solar white with my Memento Tuxedo black ink.  I colored the images in with my Copic markers and die-cut them with its coordinating.

I wanted to create a cute shaker tag to use some new sequins from the shop, the Teal Woodgrain Flat and 6mm Orange AB Hallow Circle mix so I die-cut a medium tag using my Kat Scrappiness Stitched Scalloped Nesting Dies with the Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid Fall Collection Paper Pad.  I stamped my sentiment onto my tag, and assembled the shaker tag.

I hope you like my shaker tag.  I have also listed and linked the supplies I used below if you’re interested.  Please use my coupon code Maria10 for 10% off your order at the shop.  Have an amazing day!

I have a birthday pop-up box for you today and a process video below for Meow You Doin’  card, showcasing the Meow You Doin’ stamp set and dies, 6×6 Perfectly Plaid Rainbow paper pad, and a lot of other Lawn Fawn products that I have from my stash.

I started out by stamping my images on Neenah solar white card stock and colored them in with my Copic markers. I die-cut the pop-up box using a light blue card stock. I also die-cut the square boxes using the dies with the rainbow paper pad, and used my grassy hills border dies to die-cut the grass for my scene.

Before I assembled the box, I stamped some clouds and the sun on a white square piece of card stock. I assembled the box and started decorating it with the rest of my die-cut pieces.

I stamped the script “happy” and die-cut the piece with its coordinating die. I used my Xyron sticker maker to adhere it to the front flap of my card.   I love using the sticker maker for this type of project because it really makes my life easier and the die-cut piece is perfectly adhered to the card.

Happy Easter Card and Easter Treat Bag

Hello stampers and crafters! It’s Maria Russell here with you today and I am so thrilled to be back as a design team member for Kat Scrappiness.

Today I have created two projects, showcasing the (recently stocked) Stitched Heart Tag Dies, Stitched Rope Nested Rectangle Dies, Gerda Steiner Brush Bunny stamp set and a bunch of other products available at the shop.

If you haven’t watched the YouTube video tutorial on how I made these treat boxes, I have linked the video below. It is very easy and you can create a decent-size treat bag using these tag dies. They are so versatile you can create a ton of projects with these dies, for any occasion.  Here is the video tutorial:

For the treat bag, I started out by die-cutting the tags twice and stamped my images on the tag. I highlighted the rainbow with my white gel pen. Before assembling the treat bag, I die-cut a grass border hills die. It is important to do this step first before assembling the bag.

IMG_4339

I stamped my bunny images on Neenah solar white card stock and colored him in with my Copic markers. I adhered my bunny to the treat bag.

Using my favorite Lawn Fawn Tiny Tag Saying stamp set and Tiny Tag Dies, I stamped the sentiment on the tag, and attached it on the treat bag with my pink and white twine. Hear is the treat bag:

IMG_4341
For the card, I started out by die-cutting my front panel using the largest of the stitched rope nested rectangle dies. I sponged the “clouds” using my lawn Fawn Clouds Border Dies, with Tim Holtz Broken China distress Ink.

IMG_4338

I die-cut another grass border die and adhered it on my front panel. I stamped the eggs on Neenah Solar White card stock and colored them in with my Copic markers. I also used my Sakura Gel pens to add some details to the eggs.

To finish off my design, I adhered all of the stamped images and die-cuts on the front panel of my card. Using a blue card base, I adhered the front panel to my card base using my all-time favorite Xyron Mega Tape Runner. Here is the card:

Valentine’s Day Card

Hello everyone! I’m back today to share with you a cute Valentine’s Card, showcasing products available at Kat Scrappiness, i.e. stamp sets by Lawn Fawn – Love Letters, Cheery Christmas and Mom & Me stamp sets, Stitched Fancy Scalloped Rectangle Dies, Inkadinkado masking paper and Gina Marie Designs ribbon bow dies. I apologize that I don’t have a process video today as I am currently traveling for a few days.

I wanted to create a very simple card with some masking technique.  I started out by die-cutting my watercolor card stock using the stitched fancy scalloped die. I stamped my two squirrels on Inkadinkado masking paper and fuzzy cut them with my precision scissors.

Using my stamping tool, I laid out my scene and stamped my squirrels twice with Versafine vintage sepia pigment ink.  I heat-set it with some clear embossing powder.  Using the mask I created, I covered the squirrels so I can stamp the wood stump on top of the squirrel. Removing the mask, I also set the tree stump with clear embossing powder.

I colored the images using my Zig clean color real brush markers.  I used my heating tool to dry them out a little, and covered the images with my mask.

I smudged some spun sugar and shaded lilac distress inks on a clear acrylic block, sprayed it with water, and used my flat watercolor brush to carefully start brushing the color onto the paper.  [Since the images are already covered with my masking paper, I was not afraid to do this technique.] I removed the mask and set it aside to dry.

I finished off the design by using a patterned paper by Crate Paper design, and die-cut a bow using a ribbon bow die by Gina Marie Designs.

Here is the final card:
