Newton’s Nook and Xyron Inspiration Week Collaboration

Welcome to the Fun Collaboration Blog hop with Newton’s Nook Designs and Xyron! I am extremely excited to share this blog post because I belong to both design teams. I am sure most of you know that I am still away from home taking care of my very sick father-in-law and I currently have very-limited crafting supplies with me.  This is why my card is going to be very simple.

 

For our collaboration, I am showcasing the Newton’s Perfect Pumpkin stamp set and my Xyron Mega-Tape Runner.  I know it is a little too early for Halloween but I wanted to create something fun for you and give you an idea of what’s to come from NND’s fall stamp release.  Stay tuned for next month’s release because you will absolutely love all of them!

 

I started out by stamping the images on Neenah solar white card stock using my new (favorite) Tim Holtz Stamping platform and color the images in with my alcohol markers.  I purchased these alcohol markers from Amazon and they are comparable to Copic markers (but a lot cheaper).  To be honest though, I still prefer my Copics but these markers are good enough when I am crafting from my home away from home.  I fuzzy-cut the images using my precision scissors.  I also stamped the spider web, bats, spider and sentiment on my card front.

 



 

 

To finish my design, I die-cut the clouds with my clouds border dies on black card stock.  To give the clouds a little dimension, I used my black fun foam and adhered them with my Xyron Mega Tape Runner (also my favorite).

Monster Halloween

I am not ready to give up making Halloween projects just yet so I figured this week is my last chance to create more cards and a tag. I’m back today to share with you my design team projects for Not2ShabbyShop, showcasing MFT Stamps Monster Love stamp set and dies.

Halloween Cards & Frankie Treat Box

I am back today to share with you some Halloween projects that I made using a bunch of dies and card-making supplies from KatScrappiness.Com.

October has always been my favorite time of the year to start my crafting for Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. With the days getting shorter, I want to keep myself busy and create hand-made projects to give as gifts.

The first vellum LED tea light card with the skeleton was actually made a few days ago, as I wanted to display it on top of my mantle with the rest of my Halloween D.I.Y.’s.

The second card is my favorite. When I first saw this Cheery Lynn Designs Witch’s skirt die at KatScrappiness, I immediately thought of this design for a card. I thought it is pretty hilarious!
