NND September Reveals – Day 1 – Shades of Autumn and Falling Leaves Stencil

Hello September! I am super excited because it is the first day of the September reveals at Newton’s Nook Designs. For today’s cards, I am showcasing the Shades of Autumn stamp set and its coordinating dies with the Falling Leaves stencil.

 

 

I stamped my images on Neenah solar white card stock using my stamping platform. I die-cut the images using the coordinating dies.

 

I made two cards for you today. The first one is relatively simple.

For my second card, I stamped and die-cut the small leaves and little acorns to create a wreath for my card. I also used the falling leaves stencil to add some color and finished the design by adding a small bow on the wreath, using the Pines and Holly die set. Here’s the card:

A Halloween Hello

The MFT Card Design Superstar is finally here! The card that you see below is my entry for the “Clean and Simple Genius” category.

 

Sometimes, less is really more! I wanted to create a clean and simple Halloween card with non-traditional Halloween colors.  I also like the white pumpkins as fall decor, which is why I colored the pumpkins with light gray Copic markers. I wanted my focal point to be on the little witch and her cat. These images are so adorable!

 

I started out by stamping my images on Bristol Smooth 110 lb. white card stock using my MFT stamps Black Licorice hybrid ink. I used Copic markers to color my images in and used the coordinating dies to die-cut the images.

 

For my “subtle” sky scene, I used the clouds stencils with my light blue inkpad, lightly sponging the color on the card stock.

 

For the frame, I used my MFT Stamps Blueprints No. 32. I also die-cut the birch trees with the Birch Trees dies, also by MFT then lightly colored it with my Copic markers to give it some dimension.

 

To finish my design, I stamped the sentiment “A Halloween Hello” with my memento fog ink.

NND August Reveals – Day 4 – Autumn Newton

It is the last day of the August reveals at Newton’s Nook Designs.  You will absolutely love today’s stamp set because it features our beloved Newton. You also have a chance to win each stamp set during release week so check out the details I have indicated at the end of this blog post.

For today’s cards, I am showcasing the Autumn Newton stamp set and its coordinating dies.

The first card is really simple. I didn’t use traditional fall colors on my background for this card but I love how it turned out:

For my second card, I wanted to create a fall shaker card and I used the leaves as my shaker element. I started out by using my distress oxide inks – worn lipstick and fossilized amber to distress my card stock. Here’s what it looks like:

Lawn Fawn Winter Sparrows ~ Fall Cards

Hello stampers and crafters! I’m back today to share with you two fall cards that I have designed, showcasing Lawn Fawn Winter Sparrows, KatScrappiness Double-Stitched Circle Frames Dies and other products available at the shop.

The winter sparrows stamp set is actually meant for Christmas or Winter-themed cards but if you have been following me for awhile, you know that I like to stretch my stamps and use them for different seasons.

Autumn Splendor – Sunny Studio Stamps

I am back today to share with you my design team projects for Not2ShabbyShop showcasing the Autumn Splendor stamp set and dies, and fishtail banner II dies by Sunny Studio stamps. I LOVE this stamp set! It is so easy to stamp and layer, they are amazing!

Thanksgiving Cards

Hello stampers and crafters! I am back to share with you two Thanksgiving Cards that I designed this week for Kat Scrappiness. I will keep this Blog post short because I have provided a step-by-step process video of the cards below.

I used the Double-Stitched Rectangle Frames Dies by Kat Scrappiness to die-cut the pieces that I needed for my first card. I also used a die from my stash to create the beautiful shaker Mason jar piece as my focal point on the card. I wanted to fill it with vibrant colors and so I used the Autumn Harvest Sequin Mix and the 6mm Espresso Brown Flat Flowers.

For my second card, I used the Thankful Mice and the Cutie Pie stamp sets and coordinating dies by Lawn Fawn. I also used my Gina Marie Circle Scallop Frames, as well as my favorite Lawn Fawn 6×6 Perfectly Plaid Fall Paper Pad and a bunch of other dies and crafting supplies.

Monster Halloween
