Happy Birthday Card with Newton’s Nook Designs

Hello my crafty friends! I hope you are all having a wonderful week! I am sharing another simple birthday card with you today, showcasing products from the July Birthday Release by Newton’s Nook Designs.

For this project, I am showcasing the Birthday Oval Stamp Set that coordinates with the (previously released) Oval Frames Die Set, along with the Birthday Party Paper Pad. I love that Newton’s Nook Designs came out with different oval stamp set that coordinates with the Oval Frames Die Set. I wish more companies would do this as it is a great way to save.

Here’s how I made this card:

  • stamp the images on some Neenah solar white card stock and color the images in with alcohol markers (or any medium of your choice)
  • die-cut the images using the Oval Frames Die Set
  • die-cut the background panel using a rectangle die from your collection
  • adhere this panel on some A2-size notecard.
  • foam-mount the focal image on the card for added dimension.
  • stamp the sentiment on some black card stock with Versamark ink and die-cut using the small oval from the Oval Frames Die Set
  • adhere the sentiment on the card panel with foam adhesive
  • finish the card design by using some white gel pen to add interest to the balloons.

I hope you like this project(s) and got inspired. Below, you will find links to the supplies used to create this project(s). Hope Candle with Matching Card

Hello everyone! I’m sharing two projects today, showcasing the #Ukraine Strong Stamp Set and Coordinating Dies, along with the Condensed Lowercase Alpha Die Set, Layered Bubbles Stencil Set and Transparent Heart Droplets.

I know that #Ukraine Strong Stamp Set was originally made to support Ukraine (and all profits will be donated to the  Ukraine Crisis Relief Fund. )  However, I am here to show you that you can stretch your stamps and use it for a different purpose.

I made these projects to support my sister who was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lymphoma in March this year. She went through chemo treatments (I cannot even tell you how hard it really was to see her go through it) and after her PETScan this month, the doctors told us that the chemo worked successfully. Even though she is not out of the woods yet and will still go through a few radiation treatments, we are so happy with this news.

The purple ribbon represents all types of cancer so this blog post is dedicated not only to my sister (Maria Pilar), but to all people who are either going through treatments or have survived this nasty disease.

For my first project, I decided to make this “Hope” candle. In my sister’s case, it just goes to show you that there is always HOPE at the end of the tunnel, and the power of prayer is really STRONG! You just need to believe that you can do it, and have faith in God to work his mysterious ways!

Here’s how I made this project:

My next project is the matching card to go with this candle.

I hope you like these projects and got inspired. Below, you will find links to the supplies used to create these projects. Where available, I use compensated affiliate links at no extra cost to you. Birthday Mice with Newton’s Nook Designs

Hello Newton’s Nook fans! It’s been awhile since I posted any projects! It has been quite a challenging month but I am not going to bore you with the details. For today’s project, I am sharing this very simple birthday card, showcasing new products from the latest Birthday Release called Birthday Mice Stamp Set and Coordinating Dies, along with the Birthday Party Paper Pad and the Bokeh Balloons Stencil.

Here’s how I made this card:

  • Use masking tape to mask off the strips on the panel.
  • Use some washi tape to temporarily adhere the Bokeh Balloons Stencil. Using a palette knife, apply some Gina K Designs Glitz Glitter Gel in Iridescent for added dimension.
  • Remove the stencil and the masking tape, and leave this panel to dry for about half an hour.
  • Adhere the colored images on the card with liquid glue.
  • Finish the card design by stamping the sentiment and color the word “wishes” using alcohol markers.

Here’s another look at the finished card:

This card is super simple and you can easily mass-produce this design to have some birthday cards in your stash.

The focal image was stamped on some X-Press It Blending Card and colored with alcohol markers. I used the coordinating die to cut the image out and foam-mounted to the focal panel.

I finished the card design by adding the sentiment that I heat-embossed and die-cut using one of the dies from the Banner Trio Die Set. Here’s another peek at the card:

For Day 2 of the reveals, we are showcasing the Flamingo Oval Stamp Set that goes perfectly with the previously released Oval Fames Die Set that I also paired with the Tropical Leaves Stencil.

The background panel was die-cut using scallop die from the Frames & Flags Die Set. I used the Tropical Leaves Stencil and some texture paste for added interest and texture. Once the panel was dry, I adhered it onto some white A2-size notecard.

I stamped the Flamingo Oval image on some X-Press It Blending Card and colored the images in with alcohol markers. I used the Oval Fames Die Set to cut the oval and also used precision snips to cut out the middle of the images. I foam-mounted this onto the card for added dimension.

The sentiment was stamped on white card stock and coloring the word “THANKS” with some yellow markers. I added this onto some black card stock and adhered on the card with foam-adhesive.
