NND20170601_FurrEverFriends_PKG

I wanted to create a scene that is somewhat ethereal to make it look like the pets are just hanging out in heaven. I know this is where they go when they pass.

I stamped my images on Neenah solar white card stock and used my Brother Scan N Cut2 machine to die-cut my images. I die-cut another rectangular card stock and used my sun stencil to create the look of sun. I die-cut the rest of the card stock, as well as my acetate sheet to create the window for my shaker card. I added some iridescent confetti and sequins available from Kat Scrappiness to finish the design. Here is my card:

Life is a Beautiful Ride – Newton Scoots By

Hello my crafty friends! I’m finally back today after a short (and scary) “medical” hiatus. I am so happy because the doctor told me that I wouldn’t need surgery and I will only have to undergo physical therapy for the next few weeks. That being said, I am slowly trying to get back to the swing of things and it is going to take awhile before everything is back to normal schedule for me.

I apologize if I will not have a step-by-step instruction for you for my card today. I hope you understand. I am still recovering and was advised to take it easy for a few more weeks. It actually took me awhile to make the card below but I’m just thankful that I can finally use my right arm to color and die-cut, or even type this blog post. God is great!

For my card today, I am showcasing the new May release stamp set called Newton Scoots By and its coordinating dies, the land border dies, and the Newton’s Birdbath stamp set and its coordinating dies. I wanted to create a happy and cheerful card today.

Here’s my pop-up box. I hope you like the card and got inspired today. Please visit http://www.newtonsnookdesigns.com to purchase the new stamps and dies. Have an amazing day!

Newton’s Nook Designs – Newton Dreams of Italy

Hello again! It is the second day of the May release at Newton’s Nook Designs.    As explained on yesterday’s blog post, I am currently having some medical issues and I will not be able to join my team tomorrow.  Hopefully I’ll be able to get back to the normal swing of things in a few weeks.

Today’s stamp set is my fave because Italy is my favorite vacation spot.  I am super bummed that I was only able to make one project but once I am back to my normal routine, you will see more cards and layout using this set.  You have a chance to win each stamp set during release week so check out the details I have indicated at the end of this blog post. [Just a little important note:  I know some of you had difficulties finding the comments section.  If you would like to leave a comment to participate in the giveaway, the “comments section” will only be ever visible when a single post on Word Press is being viewed. Please click on this particular blog post and you will be able to leave a comment below.  Thank you for understanding and I apologize for the confusion.]

For today’s project, I am showcasing the Winston’s Tee-Time stamp set and its coordinating dies.  This stamp set and coordinating dies will be available for purchase on Friday, May 12, at 8:00 a.m. CST.

Newton’s Nook Designs April Release – Newton’s Birdbath

For today’s card, I am showcasing the adorable Newton’s Birdbath stamp set and its coordinating dies.   I absolutely adore the images that Jennifer included in this set!  This Newton’s Birdbath stamp set and coordinating dies be available for purchase on Friday, April 14, at 8:00 a.m. CST.

NND_17April_NewtonsBirdbath

I have created a very simple card today but I really love how it turned out.  I stamped my images on Neenah solar white card stock and colored the images in with my Copic markers.

I die-cut my card front using the  Stitched Fancy Scalloped Die by Kat Scrappiness.  Once again, I used my D.I.Y. clouds border stencil to sponge the color on my card panel to create the clouds.   I also sponge the colors at the bottom using my new Lawn Fawn ink pads (Minty Fresh and Bubblegum).  It almost looks like grass and flowers.  I love this color combination!

To finish my design, I used the Land Borders die from Newton’s Nook, and also used a small die from my stash to do the stitching details for my butterfly.  Here’s my finished design:

Newton’s Nook Designs April Release – Simply Relative

Hello stampers and crafters!  It is the third day of the April release at Newton’s Nook Designs.    You also have a chance to win each stamp set during release week so check out the details I have indicated at the end of this blog post. [Just a little important note:  I know some of you had difficulties finding the comments section.  If you would like to leave a comment to participate in the giveaway, the “comments section” will only be ever visible when a single post on WordPress is being viewed. For today’s card, I am showcasing the new Simply Relative stamp set.  Since the set only contains words, I used the images from yesterday’s stamp release called Lovely Blooms.  This Simply Relative stamp set is so versatile you can use it all-year round.   This stamp set will be available for purchase on Friday, April 14, at 8:00 a.m. CST.

I stamped the roses, leaves and mason jar images from the lovely blooms stamp set, with my memento tuxedo black ink.  Using my Copic multi-liner, I drew the little branches inside the mason jar.   I colored my images with my Copic markers.  I then used my precision cut scissors to fuzzy-cut the image.   I wanted edge-to-edge adhesive to this image so that it adheres well to my card front so I used my Creative Station Lite.

Newton’s Nook Designs April Release – Lovely Blooms

NND_ReleaseIconApril17

Hello everyone!  I hope you were able to check out yesterday’s blog post.  It is the second day of the April release at Newton’s Nook Designs. For today’s card, I am showcasing the Lovely Blooms stamp set and its coordinating dies. I absolutely LOVE this set.  You can use this for any occasion, especially for Mother’s Day (and let’s not forget our beloved Grandmas or beautiful daughters)!  I love the script fonts that Jennifer had added to the set as well.  This Lovely Blooms stamp set and coordinating dies will be available for purchase on Friday, April 14, at 8:00 a.m. CST.

NND_17April_LovelyBlooms

I wanted to try out my new Distress Oxide Inks and so I started out by distressing my Neenah solar white card stock, combining the Worn Lipstick and Spiced Marmalade Oxide inks.   I LOVE THIS COLOR COMBO!  The inks were so creamy it was so easy to achieve the color that I wanted for my flowers!  I also used the same technique for my leaves, combining Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide with the Pine Needs Distress Ink.  I then stamped my images with Versamark ink and used my white embossing powder to heat set it.

IMG_4645

I also wanted a little shaker element for my card and immediately thought about creating a mason jar shaker.  I used my exact knife to cut out a little window, and adhered acetate to my card using my liquid glue.  I adhered the little branches on my mason jar and used foam tape around the edges to create my shaker panel.  For my shaker elements, I used seed beads from my stash.

IMG_4646

I finished off the design of the card by dry-embossing my card panel, and adhering the flowers and mason jar with my Xyron Mega Tape runner and foam adhesives.  I used a banner die to stamp my sentiment for the card.  I also used my Spectrum Noir Glitter brush markers to add glitter to my flowers.   I know you can’t really see the glitter on the photo but in real life, they are beautiful!

This card is for my Mother:
