Newton’s Nook Designs September Release – Day 3

It is the third day of the September reveals by Newton’s Nook Designs. Were you able to check out the first two days of the reveal? Which one is your favorite so far? For the third day, the design team is showcasing the Harvest Tails stamp set and Harvest Tails Coordinating dies. This stamp set is one of my TOP 5 favorite stamp sets of all time! Just look at all the adorable images on this set? My favorite is the deer and the squirrel! Ahhh! Can it get any cuter? I don’t know how Jennifer keeps coming up with AMAZING designs! It’s like Christmas for the design team, every month!

I know this sounds redundant but I stamped the images again using Memento Rich Cocoa ink and colored them in with Copic markers. I die cut the images using the coordinating dies.

I inked up my background using Tumbled Glass and Tattered Rose distress oxide inks! I wanted to create a soft-colored background to make my images pop! I splattered some Vintage photo onto my colored background and blotted it dry with my paper towel. I die-cut the rest of the elements to create my scene.

To create a little bit of contrast to the white pumpkins and soft colored background, I added an orange pumpkin and also adorned the birch trees with orange leaves from the Autumn Newton stamp set. I finished my design by stamping the sentiment using Memento Rich Cocoa Ink. Here’s a little close-up:

Don’t you just love that adorable squirrel holding a pile of acorns? The deer image is sooo cute with the white pumpkins! This stamp set is so versatile, you can also use it for Christmas by masking the pumpkins and replace it with some presents. The possibilities are endless with this stamp set. Here’s another look:

For my second project, I wanted to create a tag that will go with a gift that I am sending to a friend of mine. I used the Fancy Edges Tag die set and the bow is from the Pines & Holly die set.

I colored the tag with some spiced marmalade distress oxide inks and stamped the sentiment with Versafine Onyx black ink.

Newton’s Nook Designs September Release – Day 2

For our projects today, the design team is showcasing the Newton’s Pumpkin Patch stamp set. Is there anything cuter than a stack of pumpkins with cats? I love this one as well!

I stamped the image on some Neenah solar white card stock and Memento Rich Cocoa ink. I colored the images in with my Copic markers. I chose to color the pumpkins with some warm gray markers because I LOVE white pumpkins! I buy white pumpkins to decorate my house during the fall season. I only really use orange pumpkins for Halloween.

I created the scallop frame around the images with the Frames and Flag die set and cut the middle piece with my stitched rectangle die. I stamped the sentiment on some black card stock and heat-set it with white embossing powder.

I love the simplicity of this card. I also added the leaves from the Autumn Newton stamp set. Here’s a little close-up:

I used my white gel pen to add some details to the pumpkins. Here’s another look:

Newton’s Nook Designs September Release – Day 1

It is that time of the month where the entire design team get so excited to show off the new stamps, dies and stencils by Newton’s Nook Designs. For our first day of the reveals, we are showcasing TWO new stamp sets and TWO AMAZING stencils – the Newton’s Thanksgiving stamp set and coordinating dies, Newton’s Cornucopia stamp set and coordinating dies with the Pumpkin Patch and Tree Rings stencil. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the September release. Fall is my favorite season and the stamp sets and stencils are must-haves for sure! Here’s what they look like:

To start, I stamped my images on some Neenah solar white card stock with my memento Rich Cocoa ink and colored them in with my Copic markers. I chose a brown hybrid ink because it is the fall season and I wanted the images to stay on the warmer side. I die-cut the images with its coordinating dies.

I cut some Bristol smooth white card stock and inked up my background with some Antique Linen and Tattered Rose distress oxide inks. I splattered it with Vintage photo distress oxide ink and blotted it dry with my paper towel.

I used the Land Borders die to create the hills and inked it up with Mowed Lawn distress oxide ink. I die-cut the rest of the elements that I needed to create my fall scene. I used the leaves from the Autumn Newton stamp set from last year to adorn the trees.

This image is so adorable! This is definitely how I feel every Thanksgiving! Stuffed to the gills!

For my second card, I stamped the images with Memento Rich Cocoa ink from the Newton’s Cornucopia stamp set and colored it in with Copics as well. I inked up another Bristol smooth white card stock with Tattered Rose distress oxide and used Vintage photo to splatter brown dots onto the background. I blotted it dry with some paper towel.

I used the new Tree rings stencil and used Vintage Photo distress oxide to color my background. Let me tell you, this new Tree Rings stencil is so beautiful, it’s a must-have for sure! I stamped my sentiment on black card stock and heat-embossed it with some white embossing powder. Here’s my second card:

I adorned the card with more leaves from the Autumn Newton stamp set. To finish my design, I used my white gel pen to add some dot details to the cornucopia, pumpkins and the apples. Here’s a little close-up:

Today, the design team is showcasing three mini stamp sets –> Halloween Trio, Candy Corn and Boo Hoo with their coordinating dies and the Flying Bats stencil. Here’s what they look like:

Are you in the mood to create Halloween projects yet? These mini stamp sets are so ADORABLE! I can’t even pick a favorite. Here’s my first card with the Halloween Trio stamp set with the Flying Bats stencil.

The Halloween Trio coordinating dies also include a Trick-or-Treat sentiment die with two small bats.

Here’s my card showcasing the Candy Corn stamp set.

I added some glossy accents to the candy corn to make them pop. Here’s another look:

For my third project using the Boo Hoo stamp set, I wanted to create a very simple card. I think less is more in this case:

I think this stamp set is so funny!

For our projects today, the design team is showcasing the Hoppy Halloween stamp set and coordinating dies. This is such an adorable stamp set.

I stamped my images on some Neenah solar white card stock and colored them in with my alcohol markers. I die-cut the images with the coordinating dies. I also die-cut the sentiment with a small die that is going to be showcased tomorrow (you got an early sneak peek, haha!).

On an A2 piece of Bristol Smooth white card stock, I used my scalloped circle frames die to die-cut my little windows. I inked up the negative space with my distress oxide inks. I adhered the frame and the colored background onto my card base. Here’s the card:

These bunnies are so adorable and I wanted to create a non-traditional Halloween card.

For our projects today, the design team is showcasing the Fabulous Frenchies stamp set and coordinating dies.

I stamped my images on Neenah solar white card stock and colored them in with my Copic markers. I die-cut the images with the coordinating dies. I always color more than one image so that when I need to use it for my project, I already have it colored and die-cut and all I have to do is think of a card design.

I inked up my background using my handmade stencil with Spun Sugar distress oxide ink. I wanted to create a different background for my card other than a blue sky. I also inked up the hill with Mowed Lawn distress oxide ink. I die-cut a scalloped border and adhered it on my card. I also adhered my cute little Frenchie. Here’s my card:

I used black and white wash tape to decorate both sides of my card. I love the simplicity of this card. I’m not sure why the shirt looks blue on the photo but it is actually dark gray. It’s been raining so much in Florida and I haven’t had much luck taking bright photos lately and I apologize for that.

This stamp set is a must-have! I can’t wait to show you my other card using this stamp set next week.

For our first day of August reveals, we are showcasing the Classy Teachers stamp set and coordinating dies. This stamp set is super special for me because my daughter is a teacher. Thank you so much Jen for creating this stamp set. Teachers work so hard and are often unappreciated. I think being a teacher is a noble career and words cannot express how proud I am of my daughter for being one.

To start, I stamped my images on some Neenah solar white card stock with my memento tuxedo black ink and colored them in with my alcohol markers (not Copics). Yes, I am currently working on a mobile design studio because I’m in the process of moving my entire overseas studio back home to FL (container is currently in Singapore, en-route to FL). I never realized how hard it was going to be not having my regular supplies. Even taking my project photos was a huge challenge. It was raining so hard for the last two weeks and it’s been gloomy. Anyways, I wouldn’t bore you with all of my crafting dilemma. Here is the first card:

Let me just say that the sentiment on this card is my favorite! Here’s another look:

For my second card, I wanted to create a cheerful card. My daughter is my ray of sunshine. She works so hard at school but still manages to call me after work to update me about her day and how her “kids” made her laugh or cry, etc.! She is AMAZING! Here is my second card:

Since we are featuring a ton of products this week, I will not have a step-by-step tutorial on how I made the cards. However, be sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel because I will posting video tutorials for most of the cards that you see today in the next few weeks.

Here’s my card showcasing the Pina Koala stamp set and coordinating dies. I also combined some images from the Aloha Newton stamp set.

Isn’t this card so adorable? I love that the Koala peeks through the window and the flowers and the pina-colada images I added gave it a whimsical look!

When I was designing this card, I was thinking about Jennifer and Jeff Jackson sipping through their drinks while they were on a cruise last month. I don’t have the courage to go on a cruise just yet but one of these days, I probably will.

For my second card, I used the adorable Cat Treats stamp set. A simple design but I’m happy how this turned out.

For Day 3, the design team is showcasing the Shark Frenzy and Flamingo Flock stamp set:

You will notice for today’s post, I have a similar card design for both cards I’m featuring today.

Here is my card showcasing the Shark Frenzy stamp set. I also used the Sunscape stencil to create my scene. I wanted to create another birthday card since I always send those out to my family and friends.

I also used the Frames and Flags die set.

I think this stamp set os so much fun and it has a lot of possibilities.

Here’s my card featuring the Flamingo Flock stamp set. This one is really cute. I wanted one flamingo to stand out above the crowd so I only colored one in pink. The rest were in gray.

I don’t have a ton of friends but the ones I do have just stand out above the crowd. They are what I call “my people”.
