For the first day of the reveals, we are showcasing the Snowman Party stamp set.  This stamp set will also go perfectly well with the Frames Squared Die.

To begin, I started by stamping my image on some Neenah solar white card stock.  I colored my images in with the Spectrum Noir Classique alcohol markers and cut the image using a square die from my stash.

I die-cut the red square scallop and black square frame using the Frames Squared Die and another square die from my stash.  I also die-cut the rest of the elements that I needed to finish my card.   Here’s what it looks like:

I was going to do a square card but I really like how this one turned out.  I finished my design by adding Nuvo Crystal drops in Snow Blizzard and also used my white gel pen for some added texture and dimension.  Here’s a closer look:

Easy Christmas Cards with Therm-O-Web

I am super excited to share today’s post because I am guest-designing for Therm-O-Web!   I was approached by the beautiful Julia Sandvoss and she had sent me some awesome Therm-O-Web (“TOW”) products to try.  Let me just say…. WOW!  I am completely blown away by these products!  Stay tuned in the next few weeks as I will have some process videos of some of the products that I got to play with, including my new favorite, the Deco Foil Metallix Gel.

Before I proceed with my projects, I’d like to take this opportunity to thank Julia Sandvoss and Therm-O-Web for sending me all the wonderful products that I got to play with today , and will be using in the next few weeks!  You guys are amazing and I love your products!

For my projects, I am showcasing the Deco Foil Metallix Gel in White Pearl, Deco Foil Flock Transfer Sheet in Blue Sky, the Brutus Monroe for TOW Designer Toner Sheets in Peppermint, Brutus Monroe for TOW Foil transfer Sheet in Red Static, Pixie Spray and the Deco Foil Stencil Pal.  The stamps I am showcasing are Newton’s Nook Designs Cup of Cocoa stamp set and coordinating dies with the Santa Paws Newton stamp set and coordinating dies.

Here’s a step-by-step instruction on how I made my first card:

  • Stamp the images on Neenah solar white card stock and color them in with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.  Die-cut the images using the coordinating dies and Die cut an A2 size piece of some blue card stock.

  • Use some Pixie Spray to spray the back of the stencil so that it doesn’t shift while you’re working on your project.  This pixie spray is a must-have for any stamper!).  I don’t think I can live without this anymore.  It makes stenciling so much easier.

  • Use a palette knife to apply some Deco Foil Metallix Gel on the Stencil Pal.

  • By doing so, the gel will be applied to your project smoothly; and you will be able to put the excess gel back in the pot.
  • Apply the gel on your project.

  • This is what it looks like when you take the stencil off.  The Stencil Pal applied an even coating on my project!  This is also the first time I used the Deco Foil Metallix Gel in White Pearl.  I am so impress with the creamy and soft consistency of the gel.  I will be buying more for sure!

  • Die-cut the rest of the elements needed to assemble the card.  Stamp the sentiment on the banner strip using some Lawn Fawn Lobster ink.

Here’s my first card:

I wish you can see this card in person.  The Deco Foil Metallix Gel in White Pearl is so shiny and I really love the added texture and dimension it gave my card.  This card is also going to be shared as my entry to the Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.  Here’s a closer look:

For my second card, I am showcasing the amazing Deco Foil Transfer Sheet in Red Static and the Brutus Monroe Designer Toner Sheet in Peppermint.

  • Stamp the images on some Neenah solar white card stock.  Color the images in with Alcohol markers and die-cut using the coordinating dies.
  • Cut an A2 size piece of the designer toner sheet.  I also cut the Deco Foil Transfer Sheet in Red Static, just slightly bigger than the toner sheet.

  • Insert the pieces together inside your transfer sheet and run it through your laminator.
  • Here’s what it looks like when you remove the foil.  I just LOVE seeing this process:

  • Die-cut the rest of the elements needed for the card.  I used the new Flock Transfer Sheet in Blue Sky.  These new flock transfer sheets are a must-have for any paper crafter.  You can easily die-cut it, stamp on it, use adhesive sheets to transfer the flock to your card stock, or you can emboss it.  Wow!  they are truly amazing!

  • Assemble the card.
  • Finish the design by stamping the sentiment directly onto the flock transfer sheet.

Here’s my second card:

I absolutely LOVE the added texture of the Deco Foil Flock Transfer sheet!  Here’s a closer look:

As mentioned earlier, please stay tuned for some process videos of Therm-O-Web projects that I will be sharing in the next few weeks on my YoUTube channel and on this blog.  I hope you like my projects today.  The supplies I used are listed and linked below.   I hope you have a wonderful day and happy crafting!

Let’s Be Merry Together with Newton’s Nook Designs

Hello my crafty friends! I am back today to share with you yet another Christmas card showcasing a lot of products from the October release by Newton’s Nook Designs.  I just really love the versatility of the stamp sets, dies and stencils by Newton’s Nook.  If you are like me, I like to mix and match my stamp sets and dies to create a unique card.

For my project today, I am featuring the Festive Fawns stamp set and coordinating dies for my main focal point. The sentiment is from the Newton’s Christmas Kittens stamp set and the presents are from the Christmas Trimmings stamp set.

I started by stamping my image on some Neenah solar white card stock and colored them in with my alcohol markers.  I die-cut the image using the coordinating dies.

To create my background, I inked up some Bristol smooth white card stock using distress oxide inks and my mini ink blending tools.  I used Blueprint Sketch, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot.  To create more texture and interest, I used some White Copic paint and smooshed a little bit of it on my acrylic block and watered it down so that I can splatter some paint onto my colored background.  This will create the look of snow!  I left this piece to dry for about half an hour.

To build up my scene, I die-cut the birch trees using the Forest Scene Builder dies, the bow from the Pines & Holly die set and the snowbank using the Land Border dies.  Now that I have all of the elements that I needed, I started to build my scene.

I adhered the birch trees first with some liquid adhesive and added the first snowbank.  I adhered another birch tree and added the other layer of snowbank.  I also added the red bows for a festive look!

Lastly, I adhered my focal image and also added the Christmas presents and the peppermints.  To finish my design, I stamped the sentiment using some lobster ink from the Christmas Trimmings stamp set.  Here’s my card.

I love the simplicity of this card.  The dark background and the red bows just made the images pop!   Here’s a closer look:

I hope you like my card today and got inspired.  The supplies I used are listed and linked below.  Have an amazing week and happy stamping!

Newton’s Nook October Release Day 4 – Newton’s Christmas Kittens, Purr-fect Present & Puppy Present

I always get a bit bummed because it is the last day of the October release.  I hope you guys were able to check out the first three days as we showcased the new stencils, stamps and dies.  Which one is your favorite so far??  You also have a chance to win each stamp set during release week so check out the details I have indicated at the end of this blog post.  [Just a little important note:  I know some of you had difficulties finding the comments section.  If you would like to leave a comment to participate in the giveaway, the “comments section” will only be ever visible when a single post on Word Press is being viewed. For today’s release, the design team is showcasing the Newton’s Christmas Kittens, Purr-fect Present and Puppy Present with their coordinating dies.

For my first project, I stamped my images on some Neenah solar white card stock and colored them in with my alcohol markers.  I die-cut the images using the coordinating dies.

I inked up an A2 size piece of some Bristol smooth white card stock with some distress oxide inks.  I sprayed some water on the colored background and dabbed it with some paper towel.  I die-cut this piece using a die from my stash.

I adhered the center piece of the die-cut on my card base and also added the birch trees from the Forest Scene Builder die set.  I adhered some acetate sheet onto the frame and added foam adhesive.  I used some star sequins as my shaker element and added the frame on my card.

Lastly, I die-cut the lamp post on some black card stock and added vellum to the lamp.  The bow was die-cut using the Pins & Holly die set.  Here’s my card:

To finish my design, I stamped the sentiment with some lobster ink.  I don’t know if you can tell but I added glossy accents to the lamp post.  You can’t see it from the photo but it looks really cool in real life!  Here’s a closer look:

The other two cards are similar in design.  I die-cut a circle in the center of an A2 size Neenah solar white card stock and stamped the sentiment all over my card with some fog ink.  I wanted the sentiment to look like watermark.  I inked up the circle with some distress oxide ink and used the Hills & Die stencil to create my snowbank.  I adhered the image in the center and stamped the sentiment using some lobster ink.

I die-cut the wreath using a die from my stash.  I also die-cut the holly and berries using the Pines & Holly die set.

Lastly, I used my white gel pen to add some texture and dimension to the berries.  Here are the two cards:

It is the third day of the October reveals by Newton’s Nook Designs.   I hope you were able to check the first two days of the reveal. For today’s release, the design team is showcasing the Main Street Christmas and coordinating dies with Holiday Fringe stamp set.

For my first project, I stamped my images on some Neenah solar white card stock.  I fussy-cut the images using my cutter-bee scissors.   To create my scene, I die-cut the frame and the trees using dies from my stash.

I inked up the snow hills with some tumbled glass distress oxide inks to give it more dimension then foam-mounted the images onto the card.  I also adhered the trees with some liquid adhesive.

To finish my design, I stamped the sentiment on a black strip of card stock with versamark ink.  I sprinkled some white embossing powder on this piece and heat-set using my Wagner heating tool.  I also used my white gel pen to add some ‘snow” to the houses and Nuvo crystal drops to give the windows some texture and shine.  Here’s a closer look:

For my second card, I die-cut a circle with some masking paper and adhered this piece on some some Bristol smooth white card stock.  I inked up my background with distress oxide inks – using chipped sapphire, seedless preserves and black soot.

Before removing the mask, I used my watercolor brush to add some white paint on my acrylic block and spritzed it all over my card.  I dabbed this piece with my paper towel and set it aside to dry.

I die-cut the trees from the Forest Scene Builder dies and and adhered them on my colored background.

I stamped my images on some Neenah solar white card stock and colored them in with my spectrum noir alcohol markers.  I fussy-cut the images with my cutter-bee scissors and foam mounted this piece on my colored background.

To finish my design, I stamped the sentiment using some lobster ink and stamped the flying sleigh with some Versafine onyx black ink.  Here’s a little close-up:

The third card is pretty much self-explanatory.  I stamped and colored my images with my alcohol markers and adhered this onto a black card base.  To ground the colored images, I used a red frame and foam mounted this piece on top of the image.

I die-cut the sentiment from the Holiday Greetings die set and the pine needles using the Pines & Holly die set with some gold card stock.  Here’s my card:

I finished my design by adding some glossy accents to the Christmas lights, berries and bows.  I know black and red aren’t traditional Christmas colors but I really LOVE how this card turned out.  Here’s a closer look:

For the first day of the reveals, we are showcasing the Christmas Trimmings and Holiday Lights stamp sets and coordinating dies, with the Ornaments and Light Strings stencils:

I started out with an A2 size panel of Bristol smooth white card stock and ink-blended this piece with some distress oxide inks.  I used the Petite Snow stencil to add more texture and dimension to my scene. I inked up another piece of Bristol smooth white card stock and used the Land Borders die to die-cut the the snowbank and used some tumbled glass distress oxide inks to give it more color.

I stamped and colored my images on some Neenah solar white card stock with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Proof Ink in Rustic Brown.  I colored my images in Spectrum Noir alcohol markers. I die-cut the images the coordinating dies.

I stamped the trees on my colored background using the Festive Forest and Winter Memories stamp sets.  I foam-mounted the snowbank, as well as the main image to the foreground.  I also adhered the Christmas ornaments with some liquid adhesive.

I stamped my sentiment on the card with some Lobster quick dry ink.  Here’s my card:

To finish my design, I added some glossy accents to the Christmas ornaments and the star.  Here’s a closer look:

For my second project, I die-cut some Neenah solar white card stock using the scallop die from the Frames & Tags die set.  I used the Light Strings stencil to create the strings for my lights.  I stamped the lights from the Holiday Lights stamp set and colored the images in with my Spectrum Noir TriBlend alcohol markers.

I used my Nuvo Crystal Drops in White Blizzard to add more texture and dimension to the Christmas lights.  This really gave it a nice glittery shine.  I set it aside to dry for about 40 minutes.

I stamped the sentiment from the Ornamental Wishes stamp set using some Versafine onyx black ink and sprinkled this with some clear embossing powder.  I used my heating tool to heat-set the sentiment.

I adhered my foreground on some black card stock and added this piece to a school-house red card base.  Here’s my card:

I really LOVE the glitter and shine from the Nuvo Crystal drops that I added to the lights.  It made it look a little more realistic.  Here’s a a little close-up:

For my project today, I am showcasing the Fall-ing For you stamp set, Autumn Leaves die set, Pines & Holly die set, with the White Puff Embossing powder by Wow!

To start, I inked up some Bristol smooth white card stock with some peacock feathers and broken china distress oxide inks.  I used my distress sprayer to spray some water on the background and dabbed it with paper towel to dry.

I die-cut the leaves using the Autumn leaves die set with some colored card stock and vellum.   I also die cut some pine needles using one of my favorite dies, the Pines & Holly die set.

I die-cut a frame using a die from my stash and added foam adhesive to this piece and set this aside.  I stamped the sentiment from the Fall-ing For You stamp set with some Versamark ink on the colored background.  I poured some White Puff embossing powder and heat-set this using my Wagner heating tool.  I foam-mounted the frame that I die-cut earlier onto my colored background.

Newton’s Nook Designs & Therm-O-Web Collaboration Week

This week Newton’s Nook Designs and Therm O Web are partnering for fabulous Fall, Halloween and Christmas inspiration! All week long both design teams will be sharing ways to use Therm O Web products with Newton’s Nook Designs stamps!  We also have  GIVEAWAY so please make sure to read at the end of this post to find out how you can WIN.

I went NND and TMW crazy and created three projects for you today!  I am showcasing (one of my all-time favorite stamp set from Newton’s Nook)  the Sweater Weather stamp set and its coordinating dies with the Happy Howl-Oween stamp set and coordinating dies.  I am also showcasing a LOT of products provided to us by Therm O Web, which you will be able to see if you watch my YouTube video below.  I also would like to take this opportunity to thank Therm O Web for spoiling the NND Design Team with your amazing products.

For my first project, I die-cut a masking paper with a circle die and masked my Bristol smooth white card stock.  I inked up my background with some distress oxide inks.  I sprayed my inked background with some water to get the oxidize effect and dabbed it with paper towel to dry.  I used the Deco Foil Transfer Gel and Newton’s Nook Cascading Stars Stencil to create the stars on my background.  I set this piece aside to dry for about 40 minutes and ran it through my laminator with some Deco Foil Ocean Blue Transfer Sheets.  I removed my mask and colored the moon a little bit with my B000 copic marker.

To create my scene for my trick-or-treaters, I used a house die from my stash and TMW Flock transfer sheets in Purple Punch, Sunshine Yellow, Black Velvet and White Latte to create my spooky house.  I also die-cut the grass using the Land Borders die set.

I stamped my image using the Happy Howl-Oween stamp set and colored the images in with my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.  I die-cut the image using the coordinating die.  Now that I have all of my elements, I started building up my scene.

I used a white pigment ink and a blending brush to highlight the grass.  By doing so, this gave it a more realistic effect since I have a HUGE moon shining over everything!  I finished my design by stamping the bats.  I also stamped my sentiment in Versamark ink and sprinkled some white embossing powder.  I used my Wagner heating tool to heat set the sentiment.  Here’s a closer look at the card:

For my second project, I wanted to use the flock transfer sheets and my embossing folder  to create a winter scene for my critters from the Sweater Weather stamp set.  I have a process video for you for the two Christmas cards.  Here’s the first one:

For the second Christmas card, I used the Oh Christmas Tree Designer Toner Sheets , the White Latte Flock Transfer Sheet and the Gina K Designs for TMW Red Velvet Deco Foil to create a fun shaker card:

Here’s my YouTube process video:
