For my card today, I am showcasing the White Twinkle embossing powder from Wow! and the Thanksgiving Gnome stamp set by Kat Scrappiness, along with the new Zig-zag Nesting Slimline die.

To begin, I die-cut a panel of Bristol smooth white card stock using the biggest die from the Zig-Zag Nesting Slimline die set.   I cut this piece to 5 1/2 to fit my A2 size card base.

I used some painter’s tape to mask the edges and ink-blended this panel with some distress oxide inks.  I also stamped the tree and leaves in the background with some black ink.

The Gnomes were stamped and colored with my Spectrum Noir TriBlend markers, and die-cut using my Brother Scan N Cut machine.  I adhered them onto the background with some glue.

The sentiment was stamped using versamark ink and heat-embossed using the Wow! White Twinkle Embossing Powder.  I know it looks muted on the photo but it looks so glittery in person!

I added some patterned paper on an A2 size card base and adhered the inked background.  I finished my design by adding a few leaves from the Happy Fall Y’all stamp set.  Here’s another look:

KS July Release and 4th of July Weekend Sale

I have a special post today as we reveal some new slimline dies, background cover plate and stamp sets from Kat Scrappiness.  These new dies are AMAZING and definitely cheaper than what’s available out there in the market!  You need to hurry and order them soon before they sell out!

There is also a GIVEAWAY for today and tomorrow at the KS Blog so if you would like to participate, head on over to the blog post (click here) and leave a comment there for a chance to win a $25 gift card that you can spend to get anything you want from the shop!

Before I show you the products, I just want you all to know that Kat Scrappiness is also having a 4th of July weekend “SITEWIDE” sale (excludes Slimline products).  Use the coupon code (FREEDOM) to get 15% off your entire order.

For my projects today, I am showcasing two new slimline dies.  The Cityscape Slimline dies and the Double-stitched nesting slimline dies.  Here’s what they look like:

To make my first card, I created the background by die-cutting masking paper using the Nesting Circle dies.  I ink-blended a Bristol smooth panel with Chipped Sapphire, Faded Jeans, Wilted Violet and Black Soot.  I used a paintbrush to flick some water on the colored panel and dabbed it with paper towel to dry.  Removing the mask revealed the full moon.  I used the Cityscape slimline die to die-cut it in black and kept it simple by adhering it to the colored panel with liquid glue.

I finished the design by stamping the sentiment with Versafine Onyx black ink and added an enamel heart.  Here’s a closer look:

For my second card, I wanted to showcase the Cityscape slimline die on an A2 size card to show versatility, die-cutting it a couple of times with some Bristol smooth white card stock and inking them up with some distress oxide inks in rainbow order.

I used the Sunscape stencil to create a subtle hue for my background.  I finished the design by adding the sentiment from the Everyday Brush Stroke stamp set.  Here’s a closer look:

I went for a simple card for my third sample for you.  I die-cut the panel using the Double-Stitched Nesting Slimline dies and stamped the rainbows and other images a few times on the card.  The new Catherine Pooler inks are my favorite!

The frame was foam-mounted for added dimension and to finish the design, I added some Sparkling clear jewels.  They are my favorite to use for cards!

Here’s a closer look:

I hope I have given you some card-making/stamping inspiration today.  The supplies I use are listed and linked below.  Thanks for stopping by and happy stamping!

Two Slimline Cards with Kat Scrappiness Dies

Did you know that Kat Scrappiness came out with two Slimline dies?  The Embossed Edge Nesting Slimline Dies and Stitched Scalloped Nesting Slimline Dies.  They are AMAZING!   Here’s what they look like:

For my cards today, I am also showcasing the Koala-Ty Time stamp set along with other supplies available at the shop.  They are of course listed and linked below.

For my first card, I die-cut a panel of Bristol smooth white card stock using the new Embossed Edge Nesting Slimline die.  and ink-blended this with salty ocean, peacock feathers and chipped sapphire distress oxide inks.  I used the Ray of Light stencil with a baby wipe to achieve the look of sun rays shining on the water.  Since distress oxide inks are water reactive, it took some color out of the card stock and it made it look more realistic.  I die-cut another panel to create the sand with more distress oxide inks and used my alcohol markers to create more texture.

I stamped, colored and die-cut the images and foam mounted the sand on my card.  I also adhered the images that I colored with either foam or liquid adhesive.  The sea weed and coral were die-cut using a die from my stash and colored with alcohol markers.

I stamped the little fishies from the BB Mermazing stamp set.  Lastly, I stamped the sentiment with Versafine Onyx black ink.

I love how this card turned out.

For my second card, I used the Stitched Scalloped Nesting Slimline die to die-cut another panel of Bristol smooth white card stock.   I used the Clouds and Grass stencils from Newton’s Nook Designs to create the colorful clouds and grass hills on this panel.

I stamped my image and colored them in with my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and die-cut using my Scan N Cut machine.    I adhered the images with some liquid glue.

Lastly, I die-cut another panel using the biggest die from the nesting set to mat my card and adhered on my slimline card base measuring 3 1/2 by 8 1/2.  I stamped the sentiment with Versafine Onyx black ink.

Both slimline dies cut like butter and as with any other Kat Scrappiness dies, they are pretty inexpensive compared to other dies available in the market.   Here’s another look at my card:

I hope you like my cards and got inspired today.  Thanks for stopping by and happy stamping!

For my project today, I am showcasing the Embossed edge rectangle dies, Layered Coffee Cup die, the Got Coffee? sentiment die, Hot Cocoa sequin mix, the Holly Leaves and Berries die set and the Acetate Sheet 25-pack.

To begin, I die-cut an A2 size panel of Neenah solar white card stock using the embossed edge rectangle die  then used the layered coffee cup die to die cut the window.   I also die-cut some patterned paper using the rest of the coffee cup pieces so that I can assemble them later.

I die-cut the holly leaves and berries on some green and red card stock.

To create the shaker portion of my card, I adhered some acetate sheet on the back of my card panel and used fun foam to create my well.  I added the hot coca sequin mix as my shaker element and adhered this piece on an A2 size white card base.

I stamped some small snowflakes on my card front and also stamped my sentiment using some Lawn Fawn lobster ink.  Here’s my card:

I love creating shaker cards!  I think this card design is super simple but I love how it turned out.  Here’s a closer look:

You Make Me Jump For Joy and I Love ‘Roo cards with Kat scrappiness

Hello Kat Scrappiness fans!  I have some fun projects for you today showcasing A LOT of products available at the shop.

Before I start with the post, I just want you guys to know that there is a 20% site-wide sale going on and you can use the coupon code mentioned below.  Take advantage of this sale and get your favorite products while you can:

For my project today, I am showcasing the Hoppy For you stamp set, along with the Yellow Star Sprinkles, Pink Flower Sprinkles, Wood Grain Frame Die, Stitched Cloud Backdrop die and the Mandala Frame die.

I started out by stamping the images on Spectrum Noir Ulta Smooth Premium White card stock using Spectrum Noir Finesse Alcohol-Proof Black ink.  I colored the images in with my Spectrum Noir TriBlend alcohol markers.  I die-cut the images using my Scan N Cut machine.

I adhered some Pink Flower Sprinkles on the mommy Kangaroo and layered the baby kangaroo inside the mommy’s pouch with liquid and foam adhesive.

The A2 size panel was die-cut using the Stitched Cloud Backdrop die and ink blended with Bubblegum, Soft Lilac and Butter Ink using some blending brushes and my Clouds stencil die.  I know you can hardly see the clouds because of the shaker elements but It’s important to me to have all those details in creating my card.  I also die-cut the frame using the Wood Grain Frame Die.

I adhered some acetate sheet and foam adhesive on the Wood Gran Frame Die and added the Yellow Star Sprinkles with Fairy Dust confetti mix for my shaker element.

I die-cut some black card stock using the Stitched Flag die and stamped the sentiment with Versamark ink.  I sprinkled white embossing powder and heat-set this with my heating tool.  I finished my design by adhering the kangaroo on the front panel.  Here’s my card:

I always LOVE making shaker cards and with the new sprinkles and sequin mixes available at the shop, it’s hard not to make them all the time.  They are super fun to make!  Here’s a closer look:

For my next card, I also used the Mandala Frame die and created a very simple, white-on white card.  The “wreath” was die-cut using a die from Hero Arts that I bought from Kat Scrappiness years ago.  I layered the flowers I colored earlier with liquid and foam adhesive.

To finish my design, I used my white gel pen to add some interest and texture on the flowers.  Here’s a closer look:

I hope you got inspired today.  The supplies I used are listed and linked below.  Have an amazing day and happy crafting!

Kat Scrappiness January Release – Day 2

Hello my crafty peeps!  It is day 2 of the January release by Kat Scrappiness and the design team is showcasing the new “I Love You” shadow dies.   We also have a giveaway every day during release week.  We are picking one winner for each release day so a total of three winners!  Please head on over the the Kat Scrappiness blog post to leave a comment.  Here’s the link:  http://katscrappinessblog.com/january-release-day-2-i-love-you-shadow-dies/

I started out by stamping the images on some 110 lb card stock.  I used the stamp set from Altenew called Watercolor dots.  I embossed this piece using a hearts embossing folder that I purchased from Hobby Lobby.  I also die-cut two tags using the Stitched Scalloped Nesting dies.

I die-cut the word “love” from the new I Love You shadow dies on pink, and die-cut the shadow with some vellum.  I used my hearts embossing folder to emboss the white tag and adhered this piece on the black tag to layer it.  I adhered the “love” sentiment.  I stamped the sentiment on black card stock with versamark and heat-set this with my heating tool.

Kat Scrappiness January Release – Day 1

Hello my crafty friends.  I’m super excited to share my first post for January 2019 and it is the January release by Kat Scrappiness.   For Day 1, we are showcasing the Lacy Layered Heart dies and the Stitched Sentiment Strip dies.  They go perfectly well together or on their own.

For my first card, I inked up some Bristol smooth white card stock with my distress oxide inks and die-cut the piece with the outer layer of the die.  I also die-cut some Lawn Fawn glittered card stock using the lacy heart die.  I adhered this piece onto my colored heart with some Nuvo liquid glue.

On another piece of some heavy-duty card stock, I used the Fancy Floral Coverplate die with an embossing mat to dry-emboss the details on the card stock.  I think this turned out so beautifully.  I love the impression it makes on the card stock.

I adhered the heart on this embossed piece with some foam tape.  I also adhered this piece onto an A2 size card base.  Here’s what it looks like:

Funny Cards with Cheat Day Stamp Set

Hello Kat Scrappiness fans! Maria here on the blog with you. Are you all excited to drink eggnog, eat some baked ham and candied yams?  I certainly am! I am back today to share with you two funny cards showcasing the Cheat Day stamp set, Punny Snacks stamp set, Brown Jewels, and the Double-Stiched Rectangle dies.

For my first card below, I scored some A2-sized cream card stock using my Scor-Pal Scoring Board and inked the lines with some Fog ink.  I learned this technique from Dawn of W Plus 9 where she showed it on her YouTube video (thank you, Dawn!)  I adhered this piece onto my card base and stamped the sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black ink.

I used the cake from the Loves Me Ephemera Cardstock die-cuts by Pebbles and adhered it onto my card with some foam tape.   I finished my design by adorning the card with some Brown Jewels.  This card is really simple but I love how it turned out.  Here’s a little close-up:

Those brown jewels are so pretty.  I also love the ephemera packs that I purchased from the shop.  Here’s another look:

For my second card, I scored another piece of A2-sized cream card stock and inked the lines again with some fog card stock.  I cut another piece of black card stock and die-cut the same using the double-stitched rectangle frames to create a frame.  I wanted this card to look like one of those Letterboards we all love.  I adhered this piece on the card with some foam tape.  I stamped my sentiment using some Versafine Onyx Black ink and adhered my colored images from the Punny Snacks stamp set.  Here’s my second card:

I think the Cheat Day stamp set is hilarious and certainly a must-have to add to your stamp collection.   Here’s a little close-up:

During the holidays, I don’t really watch what I eat and the sentiment on this card is exactly how I feel!    What about you guys?  Here’s another look:

I hope you like my cards today.  Which one is your favorite?  The supplies I used are listed and linked below.  Before I go I just wanted to let you know that the Christmas and Hanukkah items in the shop are currently on sale.  Use coupon code “STUFFMYSTOCKING” FOR 20% off in this category.
