Winter Scene Christmas Card

Is everyone ready for Christmas? To tell you the truth, I’m not. This year, I am way behind the shopping and all the other things that I need to do before Christmas. The only thing I was able to do last weekend was to at least take the fall décor down and put the Christmas décor up. I am waiting for my kids to arrive so we can all decorate the tree. But enough about my procrastination!

I was listening to some Christmas music today and got inspired to create this Winter Scene Christmas card, showcasing the Winter House Scene Die and Merry Christmas script die by Gina Marie Designs, available at Kat Scrappiness. This die is a must-have! You can easily mass-produce the card below. I promise you, it’s really easy. Please watch the process video below to see how I made the card.

Newton Loves Coffee ~ Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

winter-coffee-lovers-blog-hop

It’s that time of the year again and I am so excited to be participating in the “Winter Coffee Lover’s Blog Hop”.  I’d like to take this opportunity to thank Amy Tsuruta and the rest of her team responsible for facilitating this great hop!  I don’t know how you guys do it but you all absolutely rock!

Today I have made a card showcasing products from the #KatScrappiness store, as a Design Team member.  Incidentally, today is also Kat’s birthday so there is a sale at the shop for all Halloween/Fall/Christmas category for 15% off (no coupon code necessary).  The promo is valid from today until December 11, 2016 (ends at midnight PST).  Here is the link to the shop http://www.katscrappiness.com/?aff=21  You will also get a free bag of jingle bells for every order  during this time frame.

I started out by stamping my image using my stamping tool with memento tuxedo black ink on Neenah Solar White card stock. I colored Newton and the coffee image using my Copic markers W1, W2 and W5, R00, R29 and R39.

I wanted to use warm Christmas colors for this card so I die-cut the front panel using my Gina Marie wonky stitches nesting dies, and the Bo Bunny 6×6 Paper Pad Merry & Bright Collection. Red and Beige just goes so well together.

I also used a wreath die that I recently purchased and embellished it with the new Deck the Halls sequin mix by Kat Scrappiness. I love this new sequin mix.

I finished off the design by adding the snowflake sequin on the coffee mug and Santa hat for Newton. I hope you like my card. Check out the new sequin mixes and script dies available at the shop – they are amazing! The supplies I’ve used are listed and linked below.

Woodland-themed Christmas Card

It’s Maria Russell here today and I am back today to share with you a Christmas card that I have made showcasing the Christmas tree die by Kat Scrappiness. Unfortunately I wouldn’t have a process video this time, as I am currently home in Orlando, celebrating Thanksgiving weekend with my family.

I started out by die-cutting my card stock using the die, and coloring the pieces with my Tombow colored pencils. Once I was happy with the colors, I used my tombow liquid glue to adhere the pieces together and set it aside to dry.

I proceeded to cut my card base, and used the Kat Scrappiness Stitched rectangle die to die-cut my patterned paper. I also used this die to die-cut another white cardstock so I can use my Lawn Fawn stitched border dies to create the snow.

Since I was going to decorate my card with cardinals, I went ahead and used a magnolia die from my stash to add the stitching detail to the front panel of my card.

I finished the design by adding white diamonds sequins from Kat Scrappiness, Enamel dots from Doodlebug Design and adding the peppermint twine.  Here is the card. I have also listed the supplies that I’ve used below. I hope you like it and somehow got inspired today. Have an amazing day!

Hello stampers and crafters! I’m back today to share with you two fall cards that I have designed, showcasing Lawn Fawn Winter Sparrows, KatScrappiness Double-Stitched Circle Frames Dies and other products available at the shop.

The winter sparrows stamp set is actually meant for Christmas or Winter-themed cards but if you have been following me for awhile, you know that I like to stretch my stamps and use them for different seasons.

I am going to keep this blog post short because I am sharing a process video on how I made the cards. Which one is your favorite?

The supplies I have used will be listed and linked below. Have an amazing day!

Thanksgiving Cards

Hello stampers and crafters! I am back to share with you two Thanksgiving Cards that I designed this week for Kat Scrappiness. I will keep this Blog post short because I have provided a step-by-step process video of the cards below.

I used the Double-Stitched Rectangle Frames Dies by Kat Scrappiness to die-cut the pieces that I needed for my first card. I also used a die from my stash to create the beautiful shaker Mason jar piece as my focal point on the card. I wanted to fill it with vibrant colors and so I used the Autumn Harvest Sequin Mix and the 6mm Espresso Brown Flat Flowers.

For my second card, I used the Thankful Mice and the Cutie Pie stamp sets and coordinating dies by Lawn Fawn. I also used my Gina Marie Circle Scallop Frames, as well as my favorite Lawn Fawn 6×6 Perfectly Plaid Fall Paper Pad and a bunch of other dies and crafting supplies.

The supplies I have used are listed and linked below in case you would like to get a hold of these products.

Newton’s Nook Designs – Falling For You

Fall is in the air! Don’t you just love the short days, comfort food, colorful leaves, sweater weather and pumpkin spice? I got so inspired today by a stamp set by Newton’s Nook Designs called “Fall-ing For you” that I decided to create a fall card.  This card is also my entry for the new Simon Says Stamp Challenge – Autumn.

I started out by stamping my image on Neenah Solar White card stock with my stamping tool, and colored my images using my Copic markers.

I went ahead to die-cut my card panel and mat using my new favorite die by KatScrappiness – the “Double Stitched Rectangle Nesting Dies”. These nesting dies are so versatile that I am finding myself using them in all of my paper crafting projects.  I also distressed my smaller rectangle piece using Mermaid Lagoon Distress Ink by Tim Holtz, and used my watercolor brush to sprinkle water on my card stock to give it a distressed look.

I wanted to have some fall leaves for my card and so I decided to use my Lawn Fawn Stitched Leaves die, die-cutting a bunch of fall leaves in different colors, including some vellum.

Here is my card design for today. Don’t you just love fall? I love the simplicity of this card and I hope I have inspired you today to create something beautiful, or just go outside, take a leisure-walk, and enjoy the fall weather! Have an amazing day!

I started out by stamping the images on Neenah solar white card stock with my memento tuxedo black ink. I then colored my images using my Copic markers. After coloring the images, I proceeded to die-cut the images using the coordinating dies. A step-by-step process video is provided below and the supplies I have used have also been listed and linked.

KatScrappiness & Newton’s Nook Breast Cancer Awareness Card Challenge

Hello stampers and crafters! I am back today to share a card that I have made for the Kat Scrappiness and Newton’s Nook Breast Cancer Awareness Card challenge. The only requirement to join the challenge is to create a card with an encouraging/supportive message.

I started out by stamping the feathers using my Virginia Turtle stamp set called “Radiate Positivity” onto vellum card stock using my Versamark Ink. I then used my white embossing powder and heat-set the image. I used my precision scissors to fuzzy-cut the image and set it aside.

I die-cut my card panel using my scallop border die from Lawn Fawn and my peek-a-boo scallop die from MFT Stamps. I covered the window with some clear acetate and used my scotch foam adhesive to create my shaker panel. At this point, I used my stampoholic nano to stamp my sentiment on the front panel.

I wanted to use soft colors for my card and decided to use a mixture of 3 gorgeous sequins and confetti mix from Kat Scrappiness (6 mm powder pink, crystal clear flower blossom and pink flamingo confetti mix). I then adhered my shaker panel to my card base.

I finished the design by adhering the vellum feathers on the top of my peek-a-boo shaker window, and topped-it off with my pink ribbon, and also added some white diamond sequins to the front of the card.

I hope you like what I created. Here is the photo of the challenge in case you would like to participate and win some prizes.

Halloween Cards & Frankie Treat Box

I am back today to share with you some Halloween projects that I made using a bunch of dies and card-making supplies from KatScrappiness.Com.

October has always been my favorite time of the year to start my crafting for Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. With the days getting shorter, I want to keep myself busy and create hand-made projects to give as gifts.

The first vellum LED tea light card with the skeleton was actually made a few days ago, as I wanted to display it on top of my mantle with the rest of my Halloween D.I.Y.’s.

The second card is my favorite. When I first saw this Cheery Lynn Designs Witch’s skirt die at KatScrappiness, I immediately thought of this design for a card. I thought it is pretty hilarious!

For the sake of time, I am going to keep this blog post short and show you the process video for the Witch’s Skirt/Cauldron Card and the cute Frankie Pillow Treat Box.

I hope you like the projects. Have an amazing day!
