For our projects today, the design team is showcasing Newton’s Perfect Wave and Scuba Newton + coordinating dies:

I started with an A2-size Bristol smooth panel and used my Sunscape stencil and distress oxide ink to add the sun.  I die-cut different shades of blue card stock and used the Sea Borders die set to create the waves.  I also die-cut the Coconut trees and border frame from my stash to use for my scene and ink-blended them with distress oxide inks.

I stamped my image on smooth white card stock and colored him in with my Spectrum Noir Triblend markers.  I die-cut the image using the coordinating die.  I adhered my colored background to my card base and adhered the rest of the die-cuts with foam adhesive for added dimension.

I finished my design by adding glossy accents to Newton’s surfboard and stamped my sentiment on the card.  Here’s a closer look:

For my second card, I stamped and colored my images using my Copic markers and used the coordinating dies to die-cut them out.

I used a Sea-border die from my stash to use for my scene. I also ink-blended some Bristol smooth A2-size card stock with some distress oxide inks and sprayed them with water to make it look like bubbles.  I dabbed it with some paper towel, and adhered this piece on my card base.  I adhered the the rest of my elements to the card with foam adhesive to add some dimension and also used some liquid adhesive.

To finish my design, I added some blue enamel dots on the card for added interest and texture and used glossy accents to Newton’s goggles.  Here’s a closer look:

I absolutely LOVE creating “under-the-sea” and beach-themed cards!  You guys will be amazed on how many cute stamp sets we are revealing this week.  I can’t even pick a favorite!

Yay!!!! You also have a chance to win a $20 store credit for each reveal day so please read through til the end of the blog post to find out more info.  [Just a little important note:  I know some of you had difficulties finding the comments section.  If you would like to leave a comment to participate in the giveaway, the “comments section” will only be ever visible when a single post on Word Press is being viewed. For the first day of the reveals, we are showcasing Corgi Beach + coordinating die with the Hibiscus and Pineapple Layering Stencils, PLUS three (3) new edge stencils.  Here’s what they look like:

I started out with an A2 size panel of Bristol smooth white card stock and ink blended this piece with some distress oxide inks.  I used the Waves edge stencil and the Clouds edge stencil to create the clouds and the water.

I stamped and colored my images on some Neenah solar white card stock and colored them in with my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers. I used the Sea Border and Sky Border dies to create more texture to my ink-blended panel.  I adhered this piece on an A2-size side-fold card base and adhered the images with liquid and foam adhesive.

The coconut drink next to the Corgi is from the Aloha Newton stamp set.  I love that you can mix and match the stamp sets available at the shop.  To finish my design, I added glossy accents to the sunglasses and noses for added interest.  Here’s a closer look:

For my second card, I stamped and colored my image from the Aloha Newton stamp set using Spectrum Noir Finesse Alcohol Proof Dye Ink and colored it in with my Spectrum Noir TriBlend markers.  I ink-blended some white card stock using the new Clouds and Hill Edge stencils and die cut this piece with a scalloped border die from my stash.

I used the new Pineapple Layering Stencil with some distress oxide inks to ink-blend a panel of Bristol smooth white card stock.  I used my Spectrum Noir TriBlend marker in Light Pink blend to add the dots.  I attached an A2 size vellum, and adhered my focal image on the front of the card.

To finish my design, I added the sun, the coconut drink and the “Aloha” sentiment from the Aloha Newton die set.  I also added glossy accents to the coconuts to add more texture and interest.   Here’s a closer look at the card:

Funny Birthday Card with Frankly-isms by CAS-ual Fridays

Hello CAS-ual Fridays fans!  I am back with a super funny (and quick), clean & simple card showcasing the Frankly-isms stamp set.

I have been dying to use this stamp set for a friend’s birthday.  She and I share the same twisted humor and I thought this is going to be a perfect birthday card for her.

I ink-blended an A2-size Bristol smooth white card stock with distress oxide inks.  I used a stencil from my stash and combined Fossilized Amber, Carved Pumpkin and Candied Apple with my mini ink blending tools.

I stamped the sentiment in the middle and adhered this piece on an A2-size card base.

I finished my design by adding the sparkling clear jewels to add more interest and texture.  Here’s a closer look:

I hope you like my project today.  Please visit CAS-ual Fridays Stamps  to purchase the stamp that I featured today.  Don’t forget to use my coupon code “MARIASENTME” for 15% off your order at CAS-ual Fridays.  The rest of the supplies are listed and linked below. Happy stamping!

A Lifetime is not Long Enough to Love You

Hello fellow Spectrum Noir and Crafter’s Companion fans!  I hope you’re all having a great week.  I am so excited to share today’s card because I used all of my favorite products and combined them into this project.

For today’s card, I am showcasing the Crafter’s Companion Spring is in the Air and Spring Sentiments stamp set, along with Spectrum Noir TriBlend markers and Finesse Alcohol Proof Dye in Rustic Brown.

I started by stamping the image on some Spectrum Noir Ultra Smooth Premium White Card Stock with Finesse Alcohol Proof Dye ink in Rustic Brown.  I colored the image in with my Spectrum Noir TriBlend markers. The colors I used are shown in the photo below.

I ink-blended another piece of Ultra smooth white card stock with some ink from my stash and stamped the clouds from the Spring is in the Air stamp set.  I used the Fairytale Princess sequin mix as my shaker element.  I cut a piece of acetate sheet and used a Foliage Frame die  from my stash  to cut another 110 lb. white card stock.  I adhered both pieces on the colored background with foam adhesive.

I stamped my sentiment onto a black card stock with Spectrum Noir watermark ink and sprinkled it with white embossing powder.  I used my heating tool to heat set it and used a banner die to cut it out.  I adhered the image and the sentiment on the card.

Words cannot even describe how much I love this card!  I think the Spring is in the Air and Spring Sentiments stamp sets are a definite must-have for any stamper/paper crafter.  You can use this for any occasion, not just for Spring.  Here’s a closer look:

I hope you like my project today.  Please visit Crafter’s Companion to purchase the supplies I showcased today.  The rest of the supplies I used are listed and linked below.  Have a wonderful day and happy stamping!

Caffeinated Fox with The Rabbit Hole Designs

Hello The Rabbit Hole Designs fans!  Maria here on the blog with you again today.   I am back to share this simple coffee-themed card, showcasing the Caffeinated Fox stamp set and the Perfectly Blended stamp set.

.

Here’s my card using the stamp set:

I stamped the images on some Neenah solar white card stock and colored the image in with my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.  I used the Gold Brown, Light Pink and Blue Turquoise blend.  Since this stamp set didn’t come with coordinating dies, I used my Brother Scan N Cut 2 machine to cut the image.

I used a Scalloped Border die to die-cut a Bristol smooth white panel and ink-blended this with Tattered Rose distress oxide ink. I adhered a pink patterned paper on my card base and added the inked backdrop to the card.  Lastly, I adhered my image and stamped the sentiment on my card.

To finish my design, I added some glossy accents to the fox’s nose.  Here’s a closer look:

The background was ink-blended with some distress oxide inks for some pop of color.  I also used a small star die from my stash to die-cut three windows on some white card stock.   I used fun foam to add dimension and stability, and adhered the die-cut panel on the ink-blended background.

I die-cut the word “hello” using the Sweet Friend Fri-Dies on some Bristol smooth white card stock.  I ink-blended this carefully with distress oxide inks and adhered this piece on the card front.  I finished my card design by adhering the critters and adding sparkling clear jewels on the card.  Here’s a closer look:

I also die-cut two white panels using a border die from my stash and adhered these pieces with fun foam and liquid glue for some added dimension.  I die-cut the palm trees using another die from my stash on some Bristol smooth white card stock and colored it with distress oxide inks.  I adhered the pieces on the card front with foam and liquid adhesives.

You Make Me Jump For Joy and I Love ‘Roo cards with Kat scrappiness

Hello Kat Scrappiness fans!  I have some fun projects for you today showcasing A LOT of products available at the shop.

Before I start with the post, I just want you guys to know that there is a 20% site-wide sale going on and you can use the coupon code mentioned below.  Take advantage of this sale and get your favorite products while you can:

For my project today, I am showcasing the Hoppy For you stamp set, along with the Yellow Star Sprinkles, Pink Flower Sprinkles, Wood Grain Frame Die, Stitched Cloud Backdrop die and the Mandala Frame die.

I started out by stamping the images on Spectrum Noir Ulta Smooth Premium White card stock using Spectrum Noir Finesse Alcohol-Proof Black ink.  I colored the images in with my Spectrum Noir TriBlend alcohol markers.  I die-cut the images using my Scan N Cut machine.

I adhered some Pink Flower Sprinkles on the mommy Kangaroo and layered the baby kangaroo inside the mommy’s pouch with liquid and foam adhesive.

The A2 size panel was die-cut using the Stitched Cloud Backdrop die and ink blended with Bubblegum, Soft Lilac and Butter Ink using some blending brushes and my Clouds stencil die.  I know you can hardly see the clouds because of the shaker elements but It’s important to me to have all those details in creating my card.  I also die-cut the frame using the Wood Grain Frame Die.

I adhered some acetate sheet and foam adhesive on the Wood Gran Frame Die and added the Yellow Star Sprinkles with Fairy Dust confetti mix for my shaker element.

I die-cut some black card stock using the Stitched Flag die and stamped the sentiment with Versamark ink.  I sprinkled white embossing powder and heat-set this with my heating tool.  I finished my design by adhering the kangaroo on the front panel.  Here’s my card:

I always LOVE making shaker cards and with the new sprinkles and sequin mixes available at the shop, it’s hard not to make them all the time.  They are super fun to make!  Here’s a closer look:

For my next card, I also used the Mandala Frame die and created a very simple, white-on white card.  The “wreath” was die-cut using a die from Hero Arts that I bought from Kat Scrappiness years ago.  I layered the flowers I colored earlier with liquid and foam adhesive.

To finish my design, I used my white gel pen to add some interest and texture on the flowers.  Here’s a closer look:

I hope you got inspired today.  The supplies I used are listed and linked below.  Have an amazing day and happy crafting!
