Halloween Card with Newton’s Perfect Pumpkin

Hello Newton’s Nook fans! It’s been super HOT here at home and I have been dreaming about sweater weather, and anything pumpkin related.  This is my inspiration for today’s card.  Although when this post actually goes live, hubby and I will be in South Africa enjoying their winter weather; at least for about a week or so!  If you follow me on instagram, you might be able to see some photos of my trip.

For my project today, I am showcasing Newton’s Perfect Pumpkin stamp set, and I paired it with a lot of images from Pick-A-Pumpkin with Newton’s Boo-tiful night, and my sentiment is from the Creepy Cameos stamp set.  The birch tree is from the Forest scene Builder die set and the grass is from the Land Border die set.

To begin, I stamped and colored my images on some Spectrum Noir Ultra Smooth Premium white card stock.  This card stock is perfect for coloring with alcohol markers. I fussy-cut the images with my precision-cut scissors.

The background is ink-blended with different distress oxide inks.  I spritzed this with water using my distress sprayer and dabbed it with my paper towel to dry to get more texture.  I also die-cut the birch trees and the grass a couple of times with some black card stock.

I stamped the moon and stars from Newton’s Boo-tiful Night stamp set on my colored background with Versamark ink.  I sprinkled this with some white embossing powder, and heat-set using my Wagner heating tool.  I did the same thing for my sentiment.  I assembled the card by adhering the birch trees first, followed by the grass.  I foam-mounted some of the trees and Newton to create more dimension on my scene.

To finish my design, I stamped the black bats and added the white dots using my Sakura white gel pen.  I also adhered the spider web using liquid glue.  Here’s a closer look:

I know it’s too early to create Halloween projects since it’s only August but I love Halloween and creating Halloween cards is one of my favorite thing to do!

I hope you like my card today.  The supplies I used are listed and linked below.  Thank you for stopping by and have an amazing day!  Happy stamping!

Hope Shaker Card with Cas-ual Fridays Stamp

Hello everyone! It’s Maria back on the blog with you today with another card, showcasing the Tin Roof Cover Die and the Big Hope Fri-Die.

This type of card is never easy to make.  A friend of mine was diagnosed with breast cancer a few months ago and she is currently going through some chemo treatment.  She’s doing really well (thank the Lord above)!  I will be sending her a gift and so I created this card to go along with it.

This card is really simple to make and I didn’t even do any stamping.  I started by die-cutting the Tin Roof Cover Die with a 110 lb. white card stock.  I also die-cut the word “hope” and set both aside as I worked on my background.

I ink-blended an A2 size Bristol Smooth white card stock with Spun Sugar and Worn Lipstick using a sunburst stencil.  I know you can hardly see the inside but it is a sun-ray.  I figured the significance of this would have a huge impact since there’s always light at the end of the tunnel, and she is almost there!

I die-cut a frame die and adhered my Tin Roof die-cut behind the frame.  I wanted to create a shaker card and needed the frame to cover the foam tape.  I also adhered the acetate sheet to keep the shaker elements intact.

I used some light pink and crystal sequins mix with sparkling stars for my shaker element.  This card is so pretty in real life.

To finish my design, I ink-blended the “hope” die-cut with the same distress oxide ink that I used for the background and layered it with some dark gray card stock to add some texture and dimension.  Here’s a closer look:

I hope you like my project today.  Please visit CAS-ual Fridays Stamps  to purchase the stamp and dies that I featured today.  Don’t forget to use my coupon code “MARIASENTME” for 15% off your order.  Happy stamping!

For our projects today, the design team is showcasing Zoo Party and Tropical Fringe stamp sets and they coordinate really well with the previously released Frames Squared die set.

To begin, I stamped my images using Spectrum Noir Finesse Alcohol Proof Dye Ink in Rustic Brown and colored my images in with Spectrum Noir TriBlend and Copic Markers.  I die cut the square using the Squared Fames die set. I also die-cut some patterned paper and black card stock to ground my image, and adhered them on a square card base.

I used my B000 Copic marker to add some shadows to the images to give them more dimension.  I finished my design by adding some white dot details for added texture to the birthday hat and the cheeks.  I also used my black Copic multi-liner to add some eyelashes to some of the animals.  Here’s a closer look:

I did the same steps on my next card but added an image from the Aloha Newton stamp set.  This time, I adhered the Frame onto an A2 size card base and used a stitching die to add more texture on the card.

I finished my design by stamping the sentiment and colored the letters with Copic markers.  I also used my white gel pen to add more details to the pineapple and hibiscus.  Here’s a closer look:

For our projects today, the design team is showcasing Newton’s Perfect Wave and Scuba Newton + coordinating dies:

I started with an A2-size Bristol smooth panel and used my Sunscape stencil and distress oxide ink to add the sun.  I die-cut different shades of blue card stock and used the Sea Borders die set to create the waves.  I also die-cut the Coconut trees and border frame from my stash to use for my scene and ink-blended them with distress oxide inks.

I stamped my image on smooth white card stock and colored him in with my Spectrum Noir Triblend markers.  I die-cut the image using the coordinating die.  I adhered my colored background to my card base and adhered the rest of the die-cuts with foam adhesive for added dimension.

I finished my design by adding glossy accents to Newton’s surfboard and stamped my sentiment on the card.  Here’s a closer look:

For my second card, I stamped and colored my images using my Copic markers and used the coordinating dies to die-cut them out.

I used a Sea-border die from my stash to use for my scene. I also ink-blended some Bristol smooth A2-size card stock with some distress oxide inks and sprayed them with water to make it look like bubbles.  I dabbed it with some paper towel, and adhered this piece on my card base.  I adhered the the rest of my elements to the card with foam adhesive to add some dimension and also used some liquid adhesive.

To finish my design, I added some blue enamel dots on the card for added interest and texture and used glossy accents to Newton’s goggles.  Here’s a closer look:

Yay!!!! For the first day of the reveals, we are showcasing Corgi Beach + coordinating die with the Hibiscus and Pineapple Layering Stencils, PLUS three (3) new edge stencils.  Here’s what they look like:

I started out with an A2 size panel of Bristol smooth white card stock and ink blended this piece with some distress oxide inks.  I used the Waves edge stencil and the Clouds edge stencil to create the clouds and the water.

I stamped and colored my images on some Neenah solar white card stock and colored them in with my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers. I used the Sea Border and Sky Border dies to create more texture to my ink-blended panel.  I adhered this piece on an A2-size side-fold card base and adhered the images with liquid and foam adhesive.

The coconut drink next to the Corgi is from the Aloha Newton stamp set.  I love that you can mix and match the stamp sets available at the shop.  To finish my design, I added glossy accents to the sunglasses and noses for added interest.  Here’s a closer look:

For my second card, I stamped and colored my image from the Aloha Newton stamp set using Spectrum Noir Finesse Alcohol Proof Dye Ink and colored it in with my Spectrum Noir TriBlend markers.  I ink-blended some white card stock using the new Clouds and Hill Edge stencils and die cut this piece with a scalloped border die from my stash.

I used the new Pineapple Layering Stencil with some distress oxide inks to ink-blend a panel of Bristol smooth white card stock.  I used my Spectrum Noir TriBlend marker in Light Pink blend to add the dots.  I attached an A2 size vellum, and adhered my focal image on the front of the card.

To finish my design, I added the sun, the coconut drink and the “Aloha” sentiment from the Aloha Newton die set.  I also added glossy accents to the coconuts to add more texture and interest.   Here’s a closer look at the card:

Funny Birthday Card with Frankly-isms by CAS-ual Fridays

Hello CAS-ual Fridays fans!  I am back with a super funny (and quick), clean & simple card showcasing the Frankly-isms stamp set.

I have been dying to use this stamp set for a friend’s birthday.  She and I share the same twisted humor and I thought this is going to be a perfect birthday card for her.

I ink-blended an A2-size Bristol smooth white card stock with distress oxide inks.  I used a stencil from my stash and combined Fossilized Amber, Carved Pumpkin and Candied Apple with my mini ink blending tools.

I stamped the sentiment in the middle and adhered this piece on an A2-size card base.

I finished my design by adding the sparkling clear jewels to add more interest and texture.  Here’s a closer look:

I hope you like my project today.  Please visit CAS-ual Fridays Stamps  to purchase the stamp that I featured today.  Don’t forget to use my coupon code “MARIASENTME” for 15% off your order at CAS-ual Fridays.  The rest of the supplies are listed and linked below. Happy stamping!

Caffeinated Fox with The Rabbit Hole Designs

Hello The Rabbit Hole Designs fans!  Maria here on the blog with you again today.   I am back to share this simple coffee-themed card, showcasing the Caffeinated Fox stamp set and the Perfectly Blended stamp set.

.

Here’s my card using the stamp set:

I stamped the images on some Neenah solar white card stock and colored the image in with my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.  I used the Gold Brown, Light Pink and Blue Turquoise blend.  Since this stamp set didn’t come with coordinating dies, I used my Brother Scan N Cut 2 machine to cut the image.

I used a Scalloped Border die to die-cut a Bristol smooth white panel and ink-blended this with Tattered Rose distress oxide ink. I adhered a pink patterned paper on my card base and added the inked backdrop to the card.  Lastly, I adhered my image and stamped the sentiment on my card.

To finish my design, I added some glossy accents to the fox’s nose.  Here’s a closer look:

I hope you like my card and got inspired.  The supplies I used are listed and linked below.  For more inspiration, updates, and news make sure to check out these places.  Happy stamping!
