Thank You Card with LDRS Creative’s Summer Release

The LDRS Creative Summer Collection is here and it’s AMAZING! You guys really need to check it out!

I always have a stack of thank you cards in my stash so that if I ever need one, it’s all ready to go!  My card today is showcasing my favorites from the Summer Collection by LDRS. If you are interested, here are the products I used today:

Delicate Stems Press + Foil Plates

Arches Thank You Impress-ion Press + Foil Plate

A2 Diagonal Stitched Layered Card Toppers

The Delicate Stems Press + Foil Plates has a matching stencil (product sold separately or you can purchase the set) so you can easily color the image.  However, I did not use the coordinating stencil at this time as I wanted to use my alcohol markers to color the images.  I have been staying indoors quite a lot lately (it’s very hot in Florida right now) so coloring images is my favorite thing to do to pass the time.

I hope I’ve given you some inspiration today!  Thanks for stopping by!

A Magical New Release by Kat Scrappiness, Inc.

Hello and welcome to the Kat Scrappiness, Inc.‘s new release!!!! I have a very simple, yet super cute card featuring the Magical Quokkas with my new favorite dies called Wizarding Provisions Craft Dies!

Starting by inking up a panel of some Bristol smooth white card stock with Distress oxide inks and adhering the same to some A2-size top-folding card base. I cut a strip of patterned paper from the Magical Quokka 6×6 paper pad to add a little contrast to the colorful background.

To showcase the new products, I die-cut the white frame with the Crafter’s Essentials 1 die set with the Wizarding Provisions Craft Dies. I ink-blended the sorting hat with distress oxide ink and adhered the frame with foam-adhesive for added dimension.

Next, I adhered the Magical Quokka Ephemera to the frame and finished the design with the sentiment from the Simple Sentiment Stamp and die set.

I cannot get over how super cute this new release is! I hope you like this project as much as I do. The supplies I used are listed and linked within the context of this blog post. Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Memorial Day Weekend!

Hello and Happy Memorial Day weekend, my friends! I have a cute summer-theme card for you today featuring Kat Scrappiness, Inc. products.

For today’s post, I am showcasing the Summer Quokka Stamp Set, along with Scene Builder Stencil, A2 Stitched Wave Dies, Tropical Island Getaway Dies and the Wood Grain Frame Cut Die.

I inked up a panel of some Bristol Smooth White card stock using the Scene Builder Stencil and some Distress Oxide inks.  I used the Wood Grain Frame Cut Die to die-cut the white frame, along with a few colored card stock that I later on used to die-cut the waves with the A2 Stitched Wave Dies.

Creating the beach scene came together really fast since I’ve already die-cut the frame and the waves.  Adhering the frame onto a blue card base using some foam adhesive to give it some dimension, then adding the waves with liquid glue.

I added the sand dune and the palm tree on the card front using the  Tropical Island Getaway Dies with foam adhesive to make everything look cohesive. I added the cute Quokka from the Summer Quokka Stamp Set that I previously colored using Copic markers. Lastly, I stamped the sentiment with some black ink. Easy Peasy! Here’s another look:

Is anyone in the mood to go to the beach this weekend?! I hope you celebrate Memorial Day not just being with family, but remembering all the heroes who served our country! After all, this country is the “home of the free, because of the brave!“.

Bright Birthday Wishes Card with Newton’s Nook Designs

I have been building up my stash of birthday cards and today’s project features the recently released Newton’s Birthday Delights Stamp Set + Coordinating Dies along with the Bright Sentiments Hot Foil Plate and Banner Duo Die Set by Newton’s Nook Designs.

Here’s how I made this card:

  • die-cut some pattern paper that compliments the color of the stamp images using the smaller scallop die from the Circle Frames Die Set. Adhere the scallops on the notecard with tape runner.
  • die-cut the rectangle frame using the small reverse scallop frame from the Framework Die Set and add some vellum to diffuse the busy pattern behind. Use sequins for the shaker element and foam-mount this panel on the foreground.
  • adhere the image on the card with foam adhesive for added dimension.
  • adhere the sentiment with foam and liquid adhesive.
  • finish the design by adding some yellow enamel dots.

I hope you like this card today and got inspired. The supplies I used are highlighted and linked within the context of this blog post. Where available, I use compensated affiliate links at no extra cost to you. Your support helps me to keep bringing you new projects and inspiration. Thank you for stopping by, and have an amazing day!

For Day 3, we are showcasing the following Hot Foil Plates –> Confetti, Paw Prints and Birthday Sentiments.

I opted for a cute mini slimline card to showcase the Confetti Hot Foil Plate. My Gemini Foil Press Machine gave up on me so I was only able to make one card, boohoo!

After hot foiling the background, I adhered some gold and black card stock behind to give it more dimension. I also used the same gold card stock to trim two strips and adhered both pieces on the foreground with liquid glue.

Next, adhering the focal panel on a mini slimline card base with liquid glue; and used some gold gel pen to add some lines and dots for added interest.

I finished the card design by adding the sentiment that I foiled using the Birthday Sentiments Hot Foil Plate and foam-mounting it onto the card for added dimension.

For Day 2, we are showcasing the Birthday Barks Stamp Set + Coordinating Dies and Birthday Woofs Paper Pad.

I first trimmed some Bristol smooth white card stock measuring 5 1/4 by 4 inches and used the Slimline Masking Circles Stencil to create the colorful circles with different colors of dye inks. I added some interest to the circles by using some white gel pen and drew some dots and squigglies. I also used some black marker to add more dots to the background.

Next, I stamped the images using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on some white card stock and colored the images in with alcohol markers. I used the coordinating die to cut them all out

The background panel was adhered to some black card stock and added to a white top-folding notecard. I used the flag dies from the Frames & Flags Die set to die cut a few pattern paper from the Birthday Woofs Paper Pad and adhered to the card, then foam-mounted the focal image for added dimension.

I finished the card design by adding the sentiment that was heat-embossed on some black card stock. Here’s another look:

NND July Release Day 1 – Newton’s Birthday Delight and Birthday Meows Paper Pad + Giveaway

Hello and Welcome to the Newton’s Nook July Release and 10-year Birthday Celebration. I am so excited to show off the new products by Newton’s Nook Designs.  You also have a chance to win the stamp set being revealed each day so please read through til the end of the blog post to find out more info.  [Just a little important note:  I know some of you had difficulties finding the comments section.  If you would like to leave a comment to participate in the giveaway, the “comments section” will only be ever visible when a single post on Word Press is being viewed. For Day 1 of the reveals, we are showcasing the amazing Newton’s Birthday Delight Stamp Set with Coordinating Die Set and Birthday Meow’s Paper Pad.

I started by adhering the Birthday Meow’s Paper on some A2-size notecard. I trimmed some Bristol Smooth White Card Stock measuring 5 x 3 3/4 inches and used Distress Inks and blending brushes to ink-blend this panel.

I stamped the images on some Neenah solar white card stock and used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I colored the images in using Copic markers.

Next, I pressed the Aged Mahogany Distress ink on the acrylic block and added some water; I then used my watercolor brush to add splatters to the ink-blended panel. This created more texture to the background. I die-cut the grass panel using the Land Border Die and the Birthday Meow’s Paper Pad and adhered on the panel. I also added the colored images to the foreground with liquid glue.

I adhered the focal panel with some black card stock and trimmed it closed to the size of the panel to ground the images, and added to the card.

The last thing to do is add the sentiment that I heat-embossed on some black card stock and die-cut using the circle die from the Frames Squared Die Set. Here’s another look:

Thinking of You Always with LDRS Creative

Hello LDRS Creative fans! Today I’m sharing a super simple yet elegant card, showcasing the AMAZING Delicate Stitches Scalloped Rectangle Dies that I paired with previously released, Flower Doodles Stamp SetFlower Doodles Coordinating Die SetFlower Doodles Layering Stencils and Orchid Stamp Set (background) by LDRS Creative.

I started by stamping the diamond pattern background on some A2-size Neenah Solar White Card Stock using the Orchid Stamp Set with Iced Tea Hybrid Ink.  I didn’t want the color to be super dark so I stamped it first on some scrap paper then stamped it onto the background panel.

Next, the scallop frame was made by using the Delicate Stitches Scalloped Rectangle Dies on some Neenah Solar White Card Stock.  I foam-mounted this on the background panel for added dimension and adhered both of these pieces to some white top-folding notecard.

The Flower Doodles Stamp Set was stamped using Raven Hybrid Ink then colored using the Flower Doodles Layering Stencils and the following Hybrid inks –> Dark Wash JeansMarina MadnessDan-D-LionKey Lime Pie and Evergreen.  I die-cut the images with the Flower Doodles Coordinating Die Set and adhered onto the focal panel with liquid glue.

The sentiment was stamped onto some black card stock with Watermark Ink and sprinkled some white embossing powder then I heat-set with the heating tool.  I adhered this onto the focal panel and finished the design by adding some lines and dots on the card for added interest.  Here’s another look:

I hope you like this card today and got inspired. The supplies I used are highlighted and linked within the context of this blog post. Where available, I use compensated affiliate links at no extra cost to you. Your support helps me to keep bringing you new projects and inspiration. Thank you for stopping by, and have an amazing day!

For Day 4, we are showcasing the Newton’s Hanging Basket Stamp Set and Newton’s Hanging Basket Coordinating Dies.

The background was made by inking up a panel of Bristol Smooth White Card Stock with Distress Oxide Inks in Picked Raspberry, Ripe Persimmon and Mustard Seed.

Leave the ink-blended panel to dry for about 20 minutes then use the Tropical Leaves Stencil and apply some Ranger Distress Matte Texture Paste using some Palette Knife. This will add a lot of texture to the focal panel. Allow this to dry for another half an hour and adhere on some top-folding notecard.

Next, create the frame by using the Reverse Scallop Frame from the Framework Die Set and adhere some Vellum for added texture. Foam-mount this frame onto the card for more dimension.

Stamp the image on some Neenah Solar White Card stock and color the images in with alcohol markers. Use the coordinating die to die-cut the image and adhere on the focal panel.
