My Favorite Xyron Product

Hello my crafty peeps!  It is time for the Xyron Design Team to close our year sharing our favorite Xyron products.  It is really hard to choose considering the fact that I love Xyron adhesives and I have been using the Xyron Mega Runner for a long, long time.  But lately, I have been really loving my Xyron Creative Station Lite and I must admit, this is my all-time favorite Xyron product.  It is small enough to fit in a suitcase when I travel on the go (which of course happens a lot).  It adds adhesive not only on paper but also felt, foam, fabric and so, so much more.

For my project today, I used my Xyron Creative Station Lite to create stickers for my planner.  I love planner decorating and when I see a really cute patterned paper, I cut the little pieces and create stickers to add to my planner.

The Xyron Creative Station Lite makes it easier for tiny embellishments to have edge-to-edge adhesive.  This tool is a must-have for any paper crafter.

Here’s how I decorated my planner.

Here’s the whole lay-out:

I really love how this turned out!  The Xyron Creative Station Lite makes things easier to adhere tiny embellishments to cards, planners, scrapbook layouts and other 3D projects!

Thank you for stopping by today.  Have an amazing week!

Merry Wishes Gift Card Holder

Hello my crafty friends!  I hope you are all ready for Christmas!  I am still wrapping presents and prepping for the holidays and one of the things I made today is this special Gift Card Holder that will house a gift card for my daughter. She loves reading, and she loves Harry Potter so I thought it’s appropriate to use this stamp set that I purchased awhile back from The Sassy Club, as well as my favorite stamps and dies from Lawn Fawn.

I started out by stamping my images on Neenah solar white card stock and colored them in with my Copic markers. I used my Brother Scan N Cut 2 Machine to die-cut the images from The Sassy Club since this stamp set doesn’t have any coordinating dies. I also die-cut the other stamped images from Lawn Fawn with the Stitched Hillside Backdrop and the Stitched Mountain Border dies, as well as the embellishments that I wanted to add to the card to create my scene.

For the inside of the card, I used Fancy Scalloped Rectangle Stackables, Lift the Flap and Simple Gift Card Slot Dies by Lawn Fawn to house my gift card.

To finish my design, I added stickles to the snow, the lampposts, as well as the trail of stars on the card front. For the inside of the card, I used my Sharpie White Paint Pen to draw the arrow and wrote the word “lift”. Here’s my card:

Front of the card:

SassyHarryPotter1

Inside of the card:

Close-up:

I really love how this card turned out. It took me an hour or two to create it but this card is really special and I know that my daughter will appreciate it very much. I hope you like my card today. I have listed and linked the supplies I used. Thanks for stopping by my blog today and have a Merry Christmas!

Waterless Snow Globe with Xyron

Hello everyone! I hope you’re all excited and getting ready for Christmas. In my case, I haven’t even put up the tree just yet. I was traveling for my daughter’s graduation and just came back yesterday. The children are finally home and we have started decorating the house today.

One of our family traditions over the holidays is to create a handmade ornament or Christmas décor. A few years ago, we made this cute “waterless” snow globe using a recycled candle jar and it turned out so cute, I wanted to create another one this year. Here’s what we made last year:

IMG_6337

For this year’s snow globe, I bought a shatterproof water globe from the craft store. I started out by die-cutting my little houses on DCWV 80 lb. card stock with my Magnolia Doohickey house die. I assembled the house using my favorite Xyron mega runner adhesive. I also die-cut a circle to cover the bottom of the lid.

IMG_6324

I adhered my little house on the lid, and added some embellishments to my scene. First I added the red bow to the house, and then adhered the pine tree and the reindeer on the lid. I also added the little light bulb.

IMG_6339.jpg

To finish the design, I added some fake snow and iridescent confetti to the jar and closed the lid. You can add as many or as little snow as you’d like.

It is so much fun to keep shaking this waterless snow globe. Here’s a close-up look:

I hope you like my project today and got inspired to create your very own waterless snow globes. These are also great to give as gifts or start your family tradition by making your own ornaments/Christmas décor this year. Have a wonderful day!

For my projects today, I used both stamp sets and also the new stand-alone dies.  I JUST LOVE THEM! They are so versatile!  Here’s what they look like:

I started out by stamping my images on Neenah solar white card stock and colored them in with my Copic markers.  I die-cut the images with the coordinating dies.  I also die-cut the tags on 110 white card stock, as well as patterned paper.  I wanted to use the edge dies to create some added dimension and details to my tags.  Here are the tags:

NNDHotCocoa

For my card, I stamped the image on Neenah solar white and decided to just color one snowman.  I wanted him to stand out from the rest of the image.  I also used the Frames and Flags die to die-cut a Bristol Smooth white card stock measuring 4 1/4 by 5 1/2.  I colored my card front  with my favorite Broken China Distress Oxide Ink using my blending tool.  I spritzed it with water and dabbed it with my paper towel.  I adhered the image to the colored background.  I also heat embossed my sentiment to finish my design.  Here’s what the card looks like:

Doxies Happy Holidays with Newton’s Nook

Hello my crafty peeps!  I hope you are having a great week so far.  I am back today for Newton’s Nook showcasing a cute older stamp set called Holiday Hounds, mixing it up with Snow Globe Scenes stamp set.  I love that you can mix and match these stamp sets to create some cute cards.

I started out by stamping the doxies and the trees with my memento tuxedo black ink on neenah solar white card stock.  I colored my images in with my Copic markers and run it through my die-cutting machine with the coordinating dies.  I die-cut the rest of the elements that I needed to create my scene using different dies from my collection.

I wanted to create a fun card today so I decided to make a shaker card.  I adhered my “sky” background to my card base first, then adhered the acetate sheets to my frame, and added foam adhesives.

IMG_6019

I die-cut a circle card stock and colored it with my Copic markers to create some shading for the moon, then stamped the flying Santa and reindeers from the Snow Globe Scenes stamp set.  I adhered the moon to the front panel.

IMG_6020

I added my favorite sequin mixes from Kat Scrappiness for my shaker elements, and adhered my frame to the card panel.  I finished my design by adding Nuvo white Crystal drops to the houses and trees, and glossy accents to the lightbulbs.

Here is the card:

I hope you got inspired today to create cute holiday shaker cards.  I have listed and linked the supplies I used in case you are interested.  Have an amazing day!

Easy Thanksgiving Crafts with Xyron

I hope you are all having a great week so far.  All week long, the Xyron Design Team will be sharing easy Fall/Thanksgiving projects on the Xyron Facebook group.  For my projects today, I am making a bunch of treat bags to give to my guests for Thanksgiving.  I also made some place card holders and decorated a bunch of LED candles to decorate my table.

If you don’t have the supplies to create the treat bag, you can definitely buy some bags from the dollar store or craft stores, and decorate them with silk fall leaves or any other fall-themed embellishments, and fill them with surprise treats for your guests.

I started out by die-cutting some American Crafts card stock using my Mama Elephant Treat Bag die.  To decorate the bag, I die-cut the pumpkin with the Mama Elephant pumpkin add-on dies.  For my sentiment, I die-cut the “Thank You” script using my Kat Scrappiness Thank you script die.

XyronThanksgiving1

I assembled the bag using my Xyron Mega Runner.  I also used the mega runner to adhere the pumpkin.  To make things easier, I used my Xyron sticker maker to adhere the tiny pieces that goes with the pumpkin, as well as the Thank You Script sentiment.  I filled my bag with some treats.

Here’s the treat bag:

Since I have some leftover leaves that I die-cut from a previous project, I decided to make some place card holders, that will hold the utensils and a note pad for my guests to write what they are thankful for this year.  Here’s what it looks like:

I also decorated some LED candles to decorate my table, using my Xyron sticker maker and Mega Runner.

For my Christmas tags below, I’m showcasing the Holiday Hounds stamp set and coordinating dies, with the Santa Paws Newton and the Sentiments of the Season stamp set.

I stamped my images on Bristol Smooth card stock using memento tuxedo black ink.  I colored the images in with my Copic markers.  I die-cut them with the coordinating dies.  I also die-cut the tags in white card stock, as well as patterned paper.  For the other two tags, I used my blending tools and broken china distress oxide inks.

To finish the design, I used one of my all-time favorite dies by Newton’s Nook called Pines and Holly Die Set and added the greenery to the tag.  Here’s what they look like:

NNDDachshundTags

Aren’t they cute?  They almost look like Christmas ornaments.
