Hello my crafty peeps! Today, the Newton’s Nook Design Team is joining Tracey McNeely of www.inmycreativeopinion.blogspot.ca for the 25 Days of Christmas Tags. For my tags below, I am showcasing the Winter Birds stamp set and coordinating dies along with the Holiday Greetings Die set and Pines & Holly die set.
To make the tags, I started by stamping my images on some Neenah solar white card stock and colored the images in with alcohol markers. I used the coordinating dies to die-cut the images.
Next, I die-cut the wood slices and the tags using some dies from my collection and the pine boughs using the Pines & Holly die set. I adhered the wood slices, berries and the pine boughs for added texture and interest. The birds were foam-mounted on the tags for added dimension.
I finished my design by adding the silk ribbon, twine and jingle bells then adhered the “be merry” die-cut sentiment using the Holiday Greetings die set. Here’s another look:

The bird tags are so pretty. It makes me think of being outside in the snow. They have a very organic feel to them. Thanks for sharing. I think I’m going to grab the inspiration of grounding my tag images with a circle from yours.
