For my project today, I am showcasing the Lemon Twist stamp set and coordinating dies. I simply LOVE this stamp set! Don’t forget that all the products are now available for purchase at the shop.
To begin, I used my powder bag to take away some static and prep some Bristol smooth white card stock for heat-embossing. I stamped the images with Versamark ink and sprinkled white embossing powder. I heat-set this with my Wagner heating tool.
I colored the images in using different shades of yellow and green Tombow Dual Brush markers. I die-cut the images with the coordinating dies.
I ink-blended another piece of some smooth white card stock with my distress oxide inks and mini ink blending tool. I used my distress sprayer and sprayed some water on the colored background and dabbed it with paper towel. I adhered this piece on the inside of a top-folding A2 size card. I then cut about 3/4 of the front flap and added a piece of white card stock that I die-cut with a border die. I die-cut another piece for the bottom portion of my card. I lined them up to form as the cover and adhered the lemons to hold both pieces together. This technique is called “split card design” and I learned it by watching Jennifer McGuire’s tutorial on YouTube. [Side note: Thank you Jennifer for showing us this technique]. Here’s what it looks like:
To finish my design, I stamped the sentiment “hello sunshine” with my Picked Raspberry distress oxide ink. I also used my white gel pen and added dots to the lemons to add more texture. Here’s a closer look:
I hope you like my card today. The supplies I used are listed and linked below.
