NND April Release – Little Lilies & April Showers

For today’s cards, the design team is showcasing the Little Lilies stamp set and coordinating dies as well as the April Showers stamp set.

For my first card, I wanted to create a simple border around the image to make it pop.  I first stamped and colored my Little Lilies using the stamp and die-cut the same with the coordinating dies.  I die-cut the white border using a die from my stash.  I also die-cut another piece of white card stock and colored it green to make it look like a grass hill.

To finish my design, I added some glossy accents to the tiny lilies to make it look more realistic and added the pink bow on the frame using the Pines and Holly die set.  Here’s my first card:

I just love the simplicity of this stamp set!

For my second card, I die-cut a rectangle mask using my Inkadinkado masking paper and place it onto my card.  I stamped the little images around the masked area, and colored them in with my Copic markers.  I also added tiny blue dots to fill out the space.  I removed the mask and stamped the sentiment in the middle.  Here’s my second card:

I love the sentiment on this stamp set and this is definitely another must-have to add to your collection.

  14. I know everyone has mentioned it, but your framing on these cards is stunning. I love the pale pink clouds subtly hanging out behind the lilies, and I also like the glossy accents on the flowers themselves. And your use of the small elements in the second card is just perfect. Thanks for the great ideas!
