NND April Release – Umbrella Pals

For today’s cards, the design team is showcasing the SUPER ADORABLE Umbrella Pals stamp set and Umbrella Pals coordinating dies.  I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THIS stamp set!  The images on this set are so stinking cute!  This will certainly make anyone’s day!

As soon as I saw this stamp set, I knew I wanted to create a shaker card!   I started out by stamping my images onto Neenah solar white card stock.  I also stamped Newton and his girlfriend from the Newton’s Sweetheart stamp set.   I used all the coordinating dies to die cut my images.

I die-cut another piece of 110 lb. smooth white card stock using the Frames & Flags die set to create my window.  I adhered my Acetate sheet onto the window panel, and added foam tape.  I also die-cut a piece of white card stock using the Sky Border dies,  for the clouds, and another piece using the Land Border dies for the grass.   I colored the “grass” with my Copic markers.

I used my sparkling clear sequins for my shaker element to make it look like water.  Here’s my first card:

Don’t you just love the colors?   I think this card is so cheerful and will definitely brighten someone’s day!

For my second card, I die-cut the umbrellas three times using the dies and colored them it with my Copic markers.  I used my handmade sky stencil with the Sky border dies to create the clouds.  Here’s my second card:

  13. Both your cards are adorable. I love the shaker card with the simple yet almost elegant soft sequins leaving the stamps Newton and friend as the focus under that adorable umbrella. I also love the colored umbrellas in the fabulous sky. Very nice job – a favorite of mine!

  30. Perfect combination of the Valentine’s Day set with these umbrellas! They look so happy cuddled in there with the shaker bits behind. And the second card is sweet in a way that I wasn’t expecting. So pretty. Thanks for sharing!
