For my projects today the design team is showcasing the Wedding Frills stamp set and coordinating dies with the Floral Lace Stencil.   This stamp set is so elegant and versatile, you can use this for any occasion, not just for weddings!

The stencil is so beautiful and perfect for Spring-themed projects, or Mother’s Day cards, or Just-Because!

For my first card, I started out by cutting an A2 size Bristol Smooth white card stock.  I used my palette knife and my Deco Foil Transfer Gel by Therm O Web to cover the card stock with the gel.  I let it dry for about an hour until the gel looked clear and not opaque.  I cut an A2 size Sparkling Silver Gina K Designs Fancy Foils by Therm O Web and put it on top of my gel-covered panel (sparkly side up).  I inserted both pieces inside my folded typing paper then run it through my laminator.

On a piece of vellum, I used my anti-static powder tool then stamped my images and sentiment with Versa-mark ink, and covered it with my white embossing powder.  I used my Wagner heating tool to heat-set the sentiment and image.  I adhered the vellum panel on top of my foiled background.  I finished the design by adding the iridescent ribbon.  Here’s my first card:

Don’t you just love the shine and texture on this card?  Here’s a little close-up:

For my second card, I wanted to create a wreath with the flowers included int he stamp set.  I first drew a circle on my card stock with a pencil then stamped the flowers around the circle with my memento tuxedo black ink.  I waited for a few seconds to let the ink dry.  I used my eraser to erase the pencil lines and colored my images with my Copic markers.

To finish my design, I added some sequins to the colored panel and stamped the sentiment inside the floral wreath.  Here’s my second card:

  1. Both cards are so gorgeous! I love how you showed two very different ways to use the same stamp set! Such an awesome variety! The shiny silver and vellum on the first card is just stunning! The sweet floral wreath on the second is so delicate and pretty! Great ideas!

  5. Ooo, I hadn’t thought of foil for these, but that’s a fabulous idea. And I love how stained glass-like your second card looks. Thanks for sharing your lovely cards with us!
